Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City

Perfect business trip, easy to check in, very friendly staff, good location

Cons: - The walls are very thin. - It would've been nice to have access to a fridge without having to pay extra. - The no change/cancellation policy. My plans changed & I had to bump up my flight. Orbitz was able to accommodate me, but I had to spend 2 hours on the phone as the two tried to negotiate switching dates on my behalf. The hotel manager made an exception, but I still had to book another day separately. - I explained this to front desk at check-in & they advised they would merge the bookings. They didn't and my key card was disabled midstay. I had to return to front desk to check-in again. Pros: - Airport shuttle is convenient - location is great (restaurants nearby & a CVS). - 24 hr access to the gym - 2 restaurants in-house

Clean rooms, and easy access to airport and shops and restaurants.

Arrived late; restaurant/bar food and service were bad. TV in room was quirky and had to be switched on off 3 times to function (twice). Bed was marshmallow, and the toilet had a slow leak at the bottom. Food and staff in the morning were a lot better. Convenient for Reagan-National.

The Holiday Inn National was not a bad hotel. My check-in and check-out process were very quick and overall my experience was positive. A couple of things would have given it a higher rating. A couple of pain points: 1. The wi-fi was pretty slow, and one day stopped connecting. Turns out the password changes every Sunday at 5AM. Never heard of that before. 2. No real food options nearby. McDonalds was next door, but anything else requires a decent walk. 3. The hotel could use a remodel. The wallpaper in my room was bubbling off in areas, though nowhere that affected my stay. For DC, it's definitely on the cheaper/more affordable side, so you get what you pay for. If you need somewhere to lay your head at night, it suffices. If you expect to be blown away, I recommend looking elsewhere.

When I booked it was the only 3+ star hotel in Crystal City with a reasonable mid-week rate. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfortable the room and bath were. The staff were pleasant. One of the managers even agreed to refund my last night because I had to checkout a day early to beat Hurricane Matthew home. There is a little market for snacks, medicine, and toiletries - but it didn't have much. The fitness center was pretty weak too. The attached sports bar/restaurant had fantastic food and service. The location was great and I walked to work in the heart of Crystal City. Overall it was a pretty good experience and I will definitely stay again.

The room and bathroom both smelled really bad. Also, the furniture was sticky as if it wasn't cleaned for a while.

Traveling alone can be a challenge. I was received well by Reagan Airport Holiday Inn Reception staff for my 3 day stay. Whenever I had questions or concerns they were responded to accurately and efficiently. The Hotel was quiet and peaceful

Very nice overnight stay, despite a longer wait for the airport shuttle than I expected.

My husband, son and grandson, a friend and I came to DC for a Wizard's game. We picked this motel because of it's location close to the Crystal City Metro stop.We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciate the shuttle service to and from the Metro stop that evening. They were very prompt in picking us up when we called after the game was over. This was a very comfortable stay for the evening and I am sure will use this motel again when we are in the DC area

Going to DC for a convention, got in too late to take the Metro downtown so stayed at this Holiday Inn. Nice place, clean room, great shower. Glad it has an airport shuttle that also took several of us to the Metro in the morning.

The hotel access and shuttle service to transit station was awesome.

Hotel is worn down and front desk not to pleasant and engaging

Being my first time to DC it was easy to get to and close to the Reagan Airport... would stay again!

The Hotel is very conveniently located especially if you are flying out of Reagan. The Check in process was fast but the rooms are dirty. The door handles to the room do not open properly-instead you need to lift the handle in the opposite direction. The bathroom had broken glass that had not been swept up. The tub was too scary to even attempt to climb into and overall the hotel deserves a 2 1/2 star rating.

For the length of time we were there everyone was very nice. The two drivers they had that transported us to and from the airport were awesome. They only thing we were disappointed in was the restaurant and the fact there was no pool. I would not recommend eating in the restaurant because the food was aweful along with the service. Thank goodness for the McDonald 's next store

Close to the airport and Metro. On line it read parking was free but in reality they charge for parking.

Great couples get away. Was visiting DC- about 10 minute cab ride into DC. Room was clean/standard size. Wish they had an indoor pool.

A very nice hotel in Crystal City near DC, with convenient reach to great restaurants, transportations, shopping malls, and groceries. The environment was beautiful. We had a very pleasant experience in this hotel.

In the Crystal City area for a conference and conference hotel was booked full but this was a much better value.
