Stayed here for 6 nights in Mid-May of 2016 as part of a tour group. Our room was large with two bathrooms which was nice, beds were comfortable, but furniture was a bit shabby.Cleanliness was ok, carpeting was a bit tired as well. WiFi was not good at all, from our room or the lobby. Breakfast was just ok, same stuff everyday, bacon kind of on the raw side for my taste, scrambled eggs, luncheon meats, cereal, yogurt, fruit (some canned, some fresh) many pastries. Would have been nice to have an omelet station. Coffee from a machine. Some dinners were included and they were just average, nothing to brag about. No ice machine, when we asked the bartender for ice he was none to happy to oblige. Desk staff was polite and helpful. Pool is not heated! Water was very cold! I did leave a bathing suit behind and Emailed them to send it back at the lowest price, however they sent it express and it was damaged when I received it. Postage almost cost the price of the suit itself and to get it back damaged was a bit of a disappointment. Over all it was a good experience and I would stay there again. Oh and lifts ( 2) were very small. One of them was so small 4 people was a crowd.
What can I say otherwise that it was one of the best journey i've ever had in a hotel. Our room was so great and the people of the staff were so nice. One week in this beautiful and charming hotel, with the swimming pool and all those services. I warmly recommend it.
We booked this hotel via Inghams Travel Company, and since I have a food allergy, I sent an email to explain this in advance of our arrival. Immediately I received a favourable reply. On arrival at the hotel the restaurant manager came to see us to discuss my food allergies and said he would have special dinners made for me if any of the meals on the menu could not be adapted. In the morning he would come to see us at breakfast to discuss the evening meals. Our food for the week was excellent, and we had the opportunity to thank the chef personally for making our holiday that extra special. The hotel’s Direttore advised us that we had been allocated a bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room had two en-suite bathrooms. A member of staff took our suitcases to our room, where a complimentary bottle of wine and two glasses was waiting. Our room had a television, but also one bathroom had one as well. The room was cleaned, including new towels on a daily basis. I cannot fault any of the staff at this hotel. They were friendly, courteous, polite, and nothing was too much for them. We have already recommended the hotel to our friends and family.
This is a grand little hotel with an elegant ambiance. Room are clean and comfortable. Unique wooden security shades add security and block out the sun with a magical push of a button. Service was exceptional. The only thing I found lacking for an five star rating is the food in the dining room which was good but very ordinary.
This was my second stay at this great hotel and I have no regrets for going back there. As you enter, there is a beautiful and inviting terrace on the right with a pool at the end, followed by a large and confortable salon on the left. All the rooms are decorated in traditional style. The dining room is quite large, and the charming owner, Mr. Pancioli, insists on a proper attire for supper, a pleasant surprise in theses days of cheap hotels. The service is impeccable and reminds you of what excellence is all about. To top it all, the food is great. Mr. Pancioli often meets his guests individually and his charm and attention to details contribute much to the quality of his hotel.
We stayed here in July, during a hot spell, and, like so many other older European hotels, the air-conditioning left a LOT to be desired...like temperatures BELOW 78 degrees! When we complained at the front desk, the manager was PROUDLY showing how the room temperatures were staying at a constant 25 or 26 degrees C! I suppose Americans expect their room temps to be more than 10 or 12 degrees lower than the outside temperature! Also the lighting in the rooms is pathetic. There were lamps on the nightstands, but the bulbs were such low wattage they were more like night lights! The bathroom was a strange layout, with a glass-enclosed shower, with a door that opened out, onto the slippery marble floor, so the floor also became WET! Towels were scarce; washcloths non-existent. A rather strange side note about this hotel: In its pretentiousness, it had a DRESS CODE for the BREAKFAST dining room!! No shorts and no flip-flops allowed! Seriously?? It's summer, people! And it's ONLY BREAKFAST!! All in all, I'd say a more modern hotel would probably be a better choice in this area. But if you want to feel as if you're in the '60s, you may enjoy the Grand!
Wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was relatively larger than the other places where we stayed throughout our 2-week Italy trip. The room was very clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had several shirts dry cleaned here, and they did a great job. We made day trips to Cinque Terre, Florence, Siena, and Pisa. So the hotel serves as a convenient point from which to depart and visit places throughout the beautiful Tuscany region. The hotel is very close (a short walk) to the park where you can ride the funicular to a high vantage point for wonderful overviews of the area. It is also only a few blocks to Piazza del Popolo, a nice area for restaurants, shops, and people-watching.
I re visited this hotel again this year and wasn't disappointed. I always said I would never visit the same place twice and couldn't understand people who do. Now I know. This hotel has comfort. cleanliness, pleasantand helpful staff and excellent food.

Once again, we spent a wonderful week at Grand Hotel Tamerici. The quality of the food was first class and the service was wonderful. A special thank you to Gianfranco! The room size was generous and the air conditioning system was working well, important during August in Italy. We could have not asked for a more enjoyable week. I am sure we will be back again
