I was desperately searching for a nice budget hotel in Pisa, spent running around 2 h, finally ended up in Astor. Even though the price wasn't that cheap (60 e), the hotel was very nice and SUPER clean, which is a rare find in Italy ;) Special thanks to the woman on reception, who stayed calm all the way and helped me to find best option, which is also rarely seen in Italy. We stayed in the double room with shared bathroom, absolutely no problem, shower and toilet were extremely clean! Didn't see anyone going there at all, even though hotel seemed to be booked. Hotel located in the center. 10 minutes to the Central railway station, 20 min to Pisa by foot.

Stayed 4 nights here with my teenage daughter. Close to the train station and high street for shopping, not too bad a walk to the leaning tower. Private bathroom was up the corridor from our room but not a problem. Clean and basic hotel which suited our needs, although maybe a few English channels on the TV would have been nice. Not 5* luxury but it doesn't pretend to be.

You have to share bathroom with the whole floor and it is not clean, the shower and the toilet were together so the toilet was very wet, the room was not as expected, the bed wasn't comfy and the hotel is only open until midnight. It would be fine if the price was lower. The location is great, close to everything, very close to the train station and 9 minutes away from the airport by taxi.

I got an ensuite for two, judging from the pictures i thought the room would be bigger, well.. it wasn'. It was room just big enough to fit the bed, the bathroom had everything you'd expect, even hairdryer, but was really tiny. It stated on the site that the rooms were soundproof, it clearly weren't, as you could hear people talking or passing by in the corridor, that's probably my biggest complain, since that "feature" was what made me go for it in the first place.

only a few minutes walk from the Central railway station. Easy walking distance from the Tower, the river & shops. Small room & very small bathroom but clean. OK for a couple of nights but not really for longer. I'd stay here again if I were on a short visit.

We stayed here a couple of nights ago. It's very basic, tiny room, tiny bathroom (the smallest shower, ever! If your slightly big it will be a squeeze). In much need of refurbishment but it was clean. We booked a double bed and found it was 2 single beds pushed together. It was about a 15 min walk to the leaning tower and about 15 mins to the train station which was perfect. It's worth noting the receptionist spoke no English but it was fine as we had a phrase book and it's pretty self explanatory how check in works. All in all it was fine but we wouldn't stay here again. Top tip - the taxi from the airport cost €8 it's much easier than getting the train and dead cheap.

We stayed here for just 1 night but found it to be clean and adequate for our needs. Small, but clean and modern bathroom. Easily walkable to the central station (5 minutes max) and approx 10/15 minute walk from the leaning tower and cathedral. I'd stay here again if I were visiting Pisa.

We stayed here for two nights and it was an overall great experience at this tiny but cosy hostel! Good points: cosy rooms, very clean, tidy and clean shared bathroom, very close to main attractions and train station, private sink in each room The only thing I can say was a bit lacking was the service and helpfulness of the receptionists. They don't seem to know very much about the city and we had to ask in order for them to give us a city map. They are also not SUPER friendly, but all in all this was not an issue Overall, for price, cleanliness and location, I would definitely recommend this hostel!

Paid good price and was decent. Room was clean, really good location 10 mins from train station, close to shops and not far for leaning tower. Towels were really thin and room small but we only stayed one night. Wouldn't like to be there for a week but for up to 3 nights is fine. They let us leave or luggage there which was great and receptions staff were nice.

we booked a non-refundable room via booking.com. We contacted the hotel via booking.com to try to ammend the date of our visit due to trains getting us to the hotel after the standard check in time. We were willing to change our plans to stay the next night, which surely was no lose to the hotel, as they still had our custom. The owner said he would arrange the next night free of charge after we cancelled the first one ourselves via booking.com, Which didnt seem right to us. We contacted booking.com and they advised against cancelling until we had confirmation that the hotel had booked for the next day, so we were safe, as if we cancelled we would be charged a cancellation fee (owner already charged for the booking, so fee would have been on top of the booking price aleady charged) booking.com called the owner and he said he wouldnt arrange the next night for us and was not willing to ammend the dates, despite having said to us in writing that he would do. Beware when booking this hotel, as the owner is dishonest and even what is in writing cant be trusted.
