This is a Great hotel, and they provide great service. Highly recommend! Make sure to go to the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was included and was also excellent. The restaurant they recommended was top notch.
The photographs and description of this hotel are totally over exaggerated. Definitely not 4 star. Old, tired, shabby and in desperate need of modernisation and upgrading throughout. The location to the leaning tower is perfect. We chose the hotel for the location and for the terrace which unfortunately was closed and scruffy. The tower and church were lovely but the surrounding areas are blighted with a mass of Eastern European market traders selling really horrible cheap tat! Never again, and not recommended!
We booked this hotel because of its location and the rooftop restaurant/bar overlooking the leaning tower of Pisa. When we asked what time the bar opened we were told by a very stern, unfriendly female receptionist “it isn’t, there is a private function”! There was no mention of this when we booked otherwise we probably would stayed elsewhere. The hotel isn’t otherwise particularly pleasant and our room, 319, was noisy and had a horrid view. So unless you are desperate for the view from the roof, which may or may not be open, then I wouldn’t bother to stay at this very ordinary, overpriced hotel.
Great location!! That’s it’s only plus point... The hotel is seriously in need of modernisation. It’s very seventies and hasn’t seen any decoration or new fixtures since. Feels worn and grubby. Most staff friendly, but one guy seemed to be doing all the jobs - parking attendant, reception, bellboy and vacuuming!! Breakfast not great. Wouldn’t recommend.
Could not ask for a better location to enjoy the tower of Pisa and its surroundings. The area is also quiet and well served by a few small restaurants and businesses. We were surprised by the friendliness and generous help of hotel staff as we were sorting out a string of problems with our car, parking and small children. This really added to our appreciation of the hotel and of the local culture in Pisa in general.
The outside and Reception area of this hotel is amazing. The location is ideal for the Tower, it is quite literally just around the corner from it! We were able to see the tower clearly from our hotel room. The bedroom, although clean, was outdated and in clear need of painting. To be fair, the sheets and towels were changed every day, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast served both hot and cold food, all good. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, and the water pressure is very slow to say the least! There is an attractive roof top terrace, overlooking the Tower, which we used to go to every night, however the bar was never open up there. The lift would take you directly to the terrace, and the view is amazing.
Great location where is very close to inclined building, Piza just 1 minute walk. Overall hotel is very old. Never see old style of switch in my life. Toilet is clean, but bedroom is not, i found pile of dust Close to table. Heater is not well function. Freezing at night. Very quite city. There are some restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
We could have been put off by some of the reviews for this hotel but its proximity to the Leaning Tower was ideal so we went with that and were not disappointed. Yes it is a bit tired but perfectly comfortable, with lovely staff, an excellent breakfast and a rooftop view that in itself is worth the visit. It is truly magnificent. In the warm November sun a couple of hours just sitting soaking up the view is a lasting early morning memory. We would certainly return.
The Hotel is a few minutes walk from the Leaning Tower which can also be seen from the rooftop bar and restaurant. All the staff were friendly and the reception staff very helpful - we were able to occupy the room before the official check in time.. The room was comfortable with everything that we needed. The buffet breakfast was excellent. lots of bars and restaurants close by.
Had a wonderful stay over the weekend, was a special visit as i was proposing to my girlfriend, the hotel could not have been more helpful and made a magical moment that bit more special. Great location, great food, very good room and will be re-visiting the hotel very soon
