The room lights are low lumens and the lamps have dark shades. Felt dingy. The shower knob to shift between floor faucet, handheld, and top shower would get hot and I had to use a towel to do so. The bidet spray and tissue roll were on the back wall of the toilet making it difficult to reach. They don't put a spare tissue roll in the room. The towels are thin. You have to bang the doors to close. The hotel made a critical mistake of giving our room key card to another guest who tried to open our room door at 4AM! (the slide lock prevented the door from fully opening). Absolutely horrible management. Breakfast was good. We had to checkout early because of change in plans and the hotel wanted me to get confirmation from Orbitz that it's ok to check out early. Such nonsense.

What an incredible hotel. I have stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels in Sri Lanka but this hotel has the best customer service out of all of them. The staff is very well trained. The room was very clean. The room service was very fast. The ac worked great, the water pressure was high and plentybof hot water. Water bottles were free through room service. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, also came with cappuchino and delicious tea. The gym was very useful and the pool has amazing views. The only small thing I would do to improve the hotel is get a better brand or a prestige brand of bath products. The staff made my stay amazing and I loved my room, I will be back!

Older building restored, so understand that. Excellent dining options (non guests came here to eat). Small Roof top pool. Adjacent roof top bar. Zen garden. Room(s) had a long balcony on the bedroom side, and a huge balcony porch on the other. WiFi isnt great (slow) but other than that if you had a stove a person could live here. Its a 1 bedroom apartment basically. Area is upper class it seems, several consulates and ambassadors on this street
