We stayed June 23–27 with three little ones. The cabin itself is roomy, tucked away, and close to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge attractions. Unfortunately, we arrived to a toasty 82 F interior. We set the thermostat to 70 F and alerted the host, who replied quickly and asked us to give the system time. After a few hours out exploring we returned to an only-slightly-cooler 78 F, making the first night uncomfortable. By the next evening—after a full day at Dollywood in 90 F heat—the HVAC finally caught up, and the rest of the stay was pleasantly cool.Housekeeping was mostly solid, but the pull-out couches had crumbs/debris and we chose not to use the pullout beds. There’s a cosmetic ceiling crack in the basement that wasn’t mentioned ahead of time; it didn’t affect our stay but was surprising. Beds and showers were comfortable, decks were peaceful, and most neighbors were courteous (one loud night). The biggest amenity let-down was the lodge’s community pool: small, zero shade, and warmer than bathwater—more “hot tub” than cool dip.Overall: (4/5). Location and host responsiveness were excellent; a pre-arrival A/C check and a deeper clean on pull-outs would make this place an easy five stars.
