Lovely little resort buried in the jungle above Kamala Beach. Jefferson and staff did everthing in their power to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Whether local advice, or one of our many requests to have the shittle bus pick us up from our front door, for a run to the pool or a run into town. Nothing was too hard....Loved it!
Absolutely horrible dirty, dirty hygiene, dont clean proper only sweep and mop. The breakfeast is only fit for nothing Lady in kitchen for breakfast absolute cow she throws things down in front of you. None of them except robert can speak english. Toilets not cleaned and blocked everyday, sink plugs dont work, shower screens full of grime. Bedding not changed was there for for ten nights. My 12 year old son broke a glass got charged 150 baht for that. Absolutely nothing about this place i liked. And other people we spoke to arnt happy either so more complaints to follow. This place should be shut down. Aussie dont stay here. Ect ect ect ect. I have been to thailand 3 times and this has turned me off coming ever again. This place is discusting.
I stayed in a very bright spacious one bedroom apartment. With kitchenette large bathroom and seperate bedroom. The only criticism I have is the bedroom curtains are not block out and I require total darkness to sleep well. The bed was way harder than I'm used to. This is a very peaceful resort and the tranquility was bliss. Wonderful service from the check in checkout staff. This is off the beaten track so you will need to rely on taxis or your own transport. There is a free hotel shuttle to Kampala Beach. It was fantastic value at $48 a night.
I had stayed here for 3 nights in their double room which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Spacious rooms and decent size bathroom. Separate enclosure for bathing was a good idea. Enough cabinets and drawers to store things. Comes with an equipped kitchen which helped us with kids. We stayed in tower G slightly up the hill from the reception but they provide shuttle. Free shuttle services to Kamala beach and Big C store is very good. Jefferson arranged an early check-in for us without an additional charge. They have two swimming pools and the one next to Gym left us with an experience of a private pool.
This apartment complex is a hidden gem set back up a very steep hill. Its very quiet with two pools, a gym, sauna and small pool restaurant. There is a free tuk tuk which takes you down to the beach about 10 times a day and the drivers are all very helpful and will drop you anywhere if you just ask them. Ya Ya on the reception desk is a star and is very helpful and professional at her job. She speaks very good english, is very patient and will go out of her way to solve any problems you may have. She is an asset to the Trees Residence. I would recommend this complex to families and couples as it caters for everyone.
The accommodations were nice enough, but unless you get a room in the lowest building, prepare for a serious hike to your place. The setting is beautiful, but it was very inconvenient to get from our building (Bldg. E) to the reception area, breakfast by the pool and shuttle. They do offer 10 shuttles a day to the beach, but you're nowhere near the beach where you can see water.
The apartment are nice and well set. The clean ladies come every day. The second bedroom is without windows, so it looks like a bunker. The main bathroom have very light doors so you can hear everything is going on inside. The facility is ok, but it needs more maintenance, since the rain and humidity are very strong. The staff is wonderful, except for not everybody speaks English and communication sometimes might be hard. The gym is pk, but 2 out of 4 treadmills were out of order all the time. The place is located up on a hill and it is very quiet. I have to cheer up Yaya (working at the reception) who is very very good at her job, speaks perfect English and has been helpful all the time!
There's nothing really that wrong with The Trees Resort however I'd say if you're interested in staying there best you do it soon, otherwise the mildew will have completely overtaken the place. As is typical of cheaply built Thai condos (it ain't a resort) after a few years the mildew sets in, drains block up, power points fall out exposing live wiring etc etc. And Definitely get a rental car as the condo is situated through the Muslim village and up in the hills. And the wifi is diabolical but not a surprise. I've stayed in worse but don't pay top dollar will you.
Booked for 5 nights but checked out after 2 nights only. The place is nice but this part of Kamala is infested with chicken coups and the rooster are singing any time of day and night. I counted 5 large chicken farms at no more then 500 meter from this residential complex. I asked how is possible to have a residential estate presumably luxury built in an area of chicken breeding but i just got a thai smile as an answer. Do not stay here if you like silent night because the scream of these rooster is louder than an alarm siren.
The complex and its facilities are great- noce pool, even 2! Gym and little restaurant aside the pool. The apartment itself was very comfortable but could be refreshed . All in all nice place for families with kids.
