This was the worst hotel i have ever booked in Phuket. we requested a and adjoining room months in advance and when we got there we were advised that there was none available although we received a confirmation on e-mail. The reception staff was very unhelpful were we tried to reason with them. the light and and the aircon was switched of in the lobby and only when we enquired was it switched on. The beds were very uncomfortable and we could feel the spring when we slept.. The toilets didn't work properly. . There was construction taking place right outside our room early in the morning. this hotel is very far from the beach as sted on Agoda and the hotel is situated in a very "dead location" and most of the places that you need to go will require you hiring and paying for transport. don't be misled by the pictures you see and the information that Agoda posts on their website.
The hotel was amazing, spacious, comfortable. staff was great and helpful. I loved it and they pool area is a great place to unwind if you want to stay away from the bustle of Patong. within walking distance from beach, Bangla, the mall and markets. great place down the road called Bad Boys. definitely staying here when I come back
Very disappointing experience at this hotel. I was not happy with the room and the service the first day and I was told that there was no manager on duty and I can leave a note. I wrote a note asking for a simple call in the morning which I never received and was really disappointing and rude that my request had been totally ignored. The staff members were extremely rude and did not seem to want to help. When I went to the reception asking to speak to the manager I was told that the manager was in a meeting and I should wait in my room (wasting my day)which I did but still heard nothing from anyone. The room we had been offered had a very bad smell (like mold) and the hotel looked nothing like the pictures advertised. Also the pool looked very different to what is shown on the website, all this is faulse advertisement and I don’t think this is a four star hotel. I was waiting for some sort of communication from the manager as the whole experience unfortunately had been awful. After sending three emails complaining nobody bothered to get back to me.
We booked this hotel in October, two rooms and three adults. We checked in on December 10, late at night due to problems with our domestic flights. When we entered the hotel the receptionist hardly greeted us. We got our rooms, one at the fourth floor and the other at the eighth floor. We questioned this since we made the reservation in one single booking and well ahead in time, but to no interest from the receptionist. While talking to the receptionist he hardly answered or even looked at us. We came to our room and turned on the a/c, and it was very loud (I have a video of this). My wife called to the reception and they picked up the phone, but hung up straight away. We waited for a call back and were thinking if we should take the discussion there and then, or turn off the a/c and try to get some sleep. We decided to call again and this time we got an answer. My wife mixed up our room number and was corrected by the receptionist and was told that she didn’t state the correct room number. By saying that the receptionist confirmed that he could see which room was calling, and it also confirms that they knew we called before and chose to hang up. My wife pointed out the problem with the a/c and a technician was sent to our room right away. He said it was too big of a problem to fix that night and went back to the reception to get us a new room. That room was smaller and had two single beds instead of a double bed, but the maid took care of that and remade the bed as a double bed for us. Our room key didn’t work one single time during our stay, every time we needed to access our room, the security staff had to unlock it for us. We booked two nights hoping the hotel would turn out nice so we could possibly extend our stay, but we decided to move to another place instead.
We (family with 1 child) stayed 2 weeks during last Christmas holidays. We booked a 2 bedrooms suite. PRO: Large rooms, very clean. Breakfast is ok. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from everything (beach, shopping centre, centre of town, massages, night life). The pool is big and clean but... CON: the pool area is old, with rusty fences , the bar in this area was closed (actually one day they took orders for cocktails....the most horrible cocktail in my life, it tasted as liquid dishwashing !). The pool is in the roof top, with a sea and mountains view, but it closes at 8pm. They speak a limited, (very limited)English. Last advice: bring the hair conditioner, they don't supply !
Went there for a company retreat with my colleagues. Got assigned a room with a queen sized bed. The location is great with amenities such massage outlet, dry cleaning ,convenience stores such as 7- eleven or family mart are a short 5min walk. However if you like to do shopping, clubbing at Bangla Road or eating at restaurants, then you have to walk for 15 to 20 mins. My suggestion for group of 4 to 8 ppl, just take the thailand unique taxi for 200BHT per trip. If you are an early riser, can try their breakfast. The food taste good but are generally the same dishes with one or two minor change of dishes.
I booked this hotel as i thought it was a really good one and by the time i arrived i changed my mind.The room was dirty and full of dust also the pillows and the bed sheets were dirty as well.the reception was good they would try to help you but the problem was the limited english they knew.room service was horible 3 out of my 5 orders were incorect and i didnt want to change what i had because my order already took a lot of time so i didnt want to wait even more.The only reason i will give this review a 2 star is because of the breakfast that was amazing.i am sorry but this is not a 4 star hotel not even 3 i would say
the room size was very good . perfect breakfast. room was so clean. great location, in the heart of city with an small distance you have a quite moment. the bar near pool was close. it had a hot water problem twice. after we call room service they fix it immediately. Bathroom fixtures dose not have hair conditioner. near the hotel, was a great spa with best Massagers you have to try it. (Mulberry Massage)
Spend a bit more. stay in a resort! Positives - good location.. you get to walk past some great restaurants and shops on the way to beach.. Negatives: Don’t be fooled by the photos on the website or Booking.com. Greated by a unpleasant receptionist. First thing we were told is that there is a charge for guests to stay , inferring we were bringing hookers back. Not good!! The rooms are large but need updating , dust on the floors. Greated by a charge sheet for damages...even for the bin. Charge for damaging towels. Electricity off when key card taken out so cannot charge devices, unless in the room Safe can be pulled out , held with one screw. Roof top pool is rubbish! No cocktails available at poolside, unlike the photos Breakfast is ok, would not suit europeans Coffee ... awful Would not stay again as you can get better for less... Staff were ok.. security guard nice.. rest grumpy as f?!k Please avoid!!!!
We stayed here 5 nights. We moved closer to the beach to another resort owned by the same company - Fishermen's Harbour. They shuttled us to new resort and transfer was easy. Ashlee Heights was very reasonable to stay. It is clean and staff are friendly but it is a 20 minute walk to the beach or to the Big C superstore. There are shuttle buses though. My suggestion would be to include breakfast because we left the hotel at 9:00 am and walked 10 minutes to Malin Plaza (outdoor market) but the market didn't open until 11:00am. Actually a lot of places didn't open for breakfast until 10-11am. We enjoyed Ashlee Heights but we wanted to be closer to the beach and Malin Market.
