Overall it was a five star stay, good value hotel, excellent staff and house keeping, room attended too daily and not two days as shown on my booking. Restaurant food was good and I ate there almost daily.
Not so great for me would be the breakfast offering, it was not to my taste and an unusual mix of things, I’d have loved a hot buffet breakfast but I managed with croissant and coffee. And my room, first the Mountain View isn’t the best as it’s also looking into waste land and a building site but better that than the road or the incredibly close apartment block Nextdoor. Also the room smelled damp, I don’t think it’s actual damp but the high humidity of Thailand and the air conditioning was not good as removing moisture so the room felt and smelt cold and damp. Fortunately there is a huge sliding window so I had that open when the room was occupied. Laundry also useful for me. I didn’t use the pool or gym as I found them very small and cramped. Location wise it’s an easy walk to the beach and Laguna resort which is beautiful.
I would stay here again but perhaps ask if they had a dehumidifier as the room was certainly too damp for my liking. I also gave a check in review saying the same and there was a letter in the room saying they would attend to the dampness but to my knowledge it never happened.
To summarise great value, excellent modern hotel, brilliant team and house keeping. Just work on that air conditioning system as it’s too cold and humid.
