The beach was beautiful, perfect for a morning run. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is also a wonderfull Location to travel with kids.

Pros: beach is very clean Plenty of loungers are available near the beach and near the pool Room was very clean, bed was comfortable Staff at entrance are very helpful with getting taxi's and making sure your transportation is taken care of. Good selection of food at breakfast. There is a shuttle that will take you to a little tourist trap area where some shops and restaurants are available. Cons: There is a lounge/club that play loud music almost every night. We were nowhere near it and could hear/feel the bass in our room. At Breakfast lots of the food is cold. I wish there was better information provided about the hotel at check in. General lay out, times of restaurants, time music plays at the club, how to get towels at the beach loungers. This hotel may have been a 5 star hotel once upon a time, but it is lacking in enough ways that I am only rating it at 4 stars. If you want plenty of pool areas, this hotel has it. The beach is clean but does still have pretty strong currents. I booked this hotel because it was advertised as a limited deal. It was probably an ok price for what I paid but I would not be happy if I had paid full price.

Laguna is a nice place to base your Phuket vacation out of. The staff are extremely friendly, the hotel is nice and the grounds are well kept. The rooms could use an update but are still nice. The free shuttle to and from town was great for checking out local restaurants and street markets. There is a small market just outside the gate for cheap beer and snacks. The "ocean front" rooms are not exactly ocean front, but you do get an ocean view from the room.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! I was a little hesitant on booking because of the age of this hotel but any worries immediately disappeared as soon as we arrived at the entrance. The hotel and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and completely up-to-date while still maintaining an authentic Thai feel. The one thing that made our stay a 5-star experience was our choice in upgrading to a Club Room. These rooms are literally steps away from the beach with an amazing view from a private deck area. I would recommend the rooms (101-108?) furthest away from the reception area for a better view and more quieter stay. The additional perks (bottle of wine, chocolates, daily fresh fruit, free cocktail hour every night, breakfast, late check-out) of the Club room were well worth the added expense. I would highlight the location of this hotel is more suited for those who want to relax versus those looking for adventure and nightlife. Taxis are expensive to other parts of the island for these experiences. I would definitely recommend!!

OK!! I travel a lot around the world for many different purposes, and I try to make people understand what hotels they are going to so they understand before they book any hotel. Dusit Thani is in Laguna, Phuket. This is a very quite area in Phuket away from the noise of the city and Patong. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the hotel, beach and surrounding area without any noise from the city. It is a descent size hotel, nice pool and the beach is right there for you. I recommend you book all your tours from Laguna Tours they are the best in Phuket. Why do I say that? Because I've tried so many different ones and Laguna Tours are the best: 1) Phi Phi Island: They take up to 10 people in a very new boat. Others will have 20-25+ in one old boat. 2) You have more time to spend at each site do to the small number of people. 3) Easy to manage and perfect size to socialize with other riders. 4) You will feel special and different than the other tours. 5) Food is better If you want to stay away from all the noise of the world, then book Dusit Thani. If you want to party and have fun and get crazy and enjoy the mall, street and crowds GO to patong. Good luck

Comfortable, clean and friendly staff. We had a wonderful time there. It's 30 minutes drive from Patong beach, where the night life is.

The staff are very kind in a Thai sort of way but the hotel itself is just not on par with international hotels at this price range. Fine if you are paying $175 per night but not worth it for more than that. Rooms and lobby are dated and services are minimal.

The Dusit Thani perfectly blends comfort and luxury, it is ideal for families, honeymoon and business or professionals looking for a quiet getaway. The service is outstanding, the Club rooms are great and excellent value. Had a fantastic holiday!

The hotel was located a bit far from a big town (Phuket). It was a 35-40 minute drive. The room was always cleaned to perfection but the pillows were very hard and bed not 5 star quality. Over all a nice hotel if you're not looking to party and go out at night.

While on a business trip to Thailand, my adult son joined me for a long weekend in Phuket. We were able to get an excellent, off-season rate (under $100/nite) at the Dusit and were a little worried that the hotel and service might not be up to par. We were pleasantly surprised! The Dusit has an incredible beautiful setting on a gorgeous (quiet at least in off-season) beach. The room (upgraded to an ocean view) was quite nice, the pool and landscaping were exquisite, but what really distinguished the hotel was its excellent service, from the personalized check-in, to the friendly and helpful staff, to the gratis 5pm checkout to accomodate our schedule for a massage. We took advantage of the hotel's guided bike tour to a local market, it's 3 hole pitch and putt, it's excellent restaurants, etc., etc. The only "downside" is the hotel's rather isolated Laguna setting...a $25 cab ride from Patong. So it's not for the party hounds (but looked excellent for families with kids). Even the weather cooperated...3 days of mostly sunshine in the heart of the rainy season. Highly recommended!

We used the tour guide at the hotel to reserve fun activities. Phuket Fantasea was interesting but more like a goofy circus, better for kids I think. Scuba diving with H20 sports was very fun, highly recommended. Elephant trek with Bang Pae was fun and worth the experience and great pictures. The breakfast buffet was amazing, very delicious and many options. We booked a massage with the Angsana spa, very good but also very expensive compared to other massages around Thailand. Patong waterfront is great for shopping and dining, and fun/crazy nightlife.

Dear Ms.Fanny Thanks a lot for taking time out and providing us with your feedback. We really appreciate the same. We are very pleased to hear that you had a memorable stay with us and yes indeed Bang Tao beach is one of the best beached in Phuket. As important it is for us to take care of our guest it is equally important for us to look after our little guest as they need more attention and care. Once again thanking you for your feedback and hope to see you back again soon Regards Izhar Mohsin Director Of Revenue Management

Dear M Thanks a lot for your feedback. It is really sad to know that you didn't have a very pleasant holiday with us and the information was not passed across to you properly by the front office team. I have already spoken to my Front Office manager and briefed him to train the staff to inform the guest about all the facilities in the resort and the operating hours of our outlets. Hope to see you soon again Regards Izhar Mohsin Director Of Revenue Management
