BYD is a new and stylish hotel in the center of Patong. I liked the design and comfort of the room. Shops, restaurants, spa and even a market are located near the hotel. It was not long way to the Patong beach.
I had another perfect stay at BYD! The room is still great and the stuff is very friendly and helpful! If you are looking for outstanding lofts in the middle of Patong go for it. It was not my first time there and for sure also not my last time. Thank you BYD for the perfect time at your place!
I have stayed at the BYD Lofts 2 times. In both occasions the experience has been fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located in a side road to the busy Main Street so there is no traffic and it is quiet at night. It’s a five minute walk to the beach. The staff is amazing and takes genuine pride in servicing you. My best recommendations.
Excellent value for money for family of 5 people. Good location, excellent kitchen, good Italian menu. We use Each 2 days laundry service, that located near the hotel, 90 Batt /1 kg- laundry+iron Transfer from airport was include.
In a location that is near the center os padong but in a calm location without any noyse. Have a good restaurant and the room is enormous, with a nice bathroom . The room is bigger than any hotel that i stayed before. There is a pool in the 4 floor . The beach is near and i just miss a gym on it. Other details we loved. Nice option for who go out the big part of day and come back to hotel for relec. Wifi is nice.
We found this hotel unique. Quiet place in spite of being close to very busy Patong beach (about 7-10min walk). We stayed in Deluxe apartment. This was spacious with a living and small kitchen combined. The sitting arrangements with sofa, TV and a recliner were nice. Room was spacious with a modern toilet. They clean the room daily and replenished the kitchen, if you have used anything. Breakfast was good, but spread was moderate. Staff were very friendly. 4* for me as the hotel front desk was very pushy for the airport transfer and no gym. You can get much better price outside the hotel. Important information: 1. Transfer from airport by Taxi:700-800THB, minibus 180THB/person (Dec 2017). Get it just outside when you come out of the customs. 2. There was a good travel shop on the left of the hotel across the road. We found the lady there (Cholli) quite helpful in arranging tours. 3. If you walk to the main road, you will get very good seafood in the evening (only from 6PM to 1AM). 4. Private taxi for day tour 1800THB for 6hours.You can cover approximately 5 places. 5. If you want to change money, go to few different money exchangers as the rates vary a lot.
I have stayed in some excellent hotels in various parts of the world, but this would have to be the best. Why...Well you have your very own very private apartment in a 5 level block of 9 apartments. So you are not sharing the lift with many, (in fact we have never seen other guests in the lift so far after 5 days), you are not sharing a pool with hundreds, in fact you see very few people and the place is full. The hotel consists of 4 towers on a very quiet street. We are in tower S on level 3. their are no stunning views, but the apartment is furnished with only the best money can buy. The attention to detail is excellent, even two huge original oil paintings adorn the walls. Surround sound system, two T V's, coffee machine, microwave, full cook top in the kitchenette. The bathroom is superb with a large shower featuring two shower heads, beautiful large fluffy towels. The bedroom as a king size bed with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, down feather duvets and pillows. Both the bedroom and living area have their own quiet air conditioning. Next door there is a wonderful bakery that makes fresh bread and cakes daily, They also serve an English or French breakfast for $AUS 8.00. Further down the street there are many excellent massage parlors, the best being Healthland. The hotel has a 24 hour room service, bar and restaurant all of which are of a high standard as are the staff including the cleaners all speak English. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly, in fact I believe this may be the first review of over two thousand on this site that I have not had a negative comment.
I took a 100sq mtr apartment with balcony , which is fairly big, for three or four days but I was seeing family and I wanted them to be able come sit in the room, maybe have a couple of beers. It was room 201. There seem to be about four or six of these apartments per floor. There are several buildings, but I was in the main one, maybe four or five floors, with the reception, bar and restaurant. There is a spa across the road, in another small block, and a cafe in another small block. So you get a fridge, stocked with water to beer (at supermarket prices which was nice), some oreos and some truly hideous frightening pork pot noodles. The accoutrements are fine, there is a TV, the chairs are just downright weird but you can sit on the L shaped couch for six people. The floors are tiled, and they are kept extremely clean, as is everything, the standard of hygiene is very high. So the living room/kitchen is very clean, glass walls suffuse the rooms with light, full length curtains roll back during the day, there is a double hinged wall that swings open to give access to a perfectly sizeable balcony with a table and chairs for four people, plenty of light, but without direct sun thank god for much of the day. Enough space from other buildings that you do not notice them much. I was there for family, but still carried out business several hours a day, so got emails printed, and the broadband at 147 gig, I know !!!!, was faster than most major business districts in western cities. The best air-conditioning was in the large bathroom, again glass and mirrors predominate. The bedroom is very pleasant, the bed comfortable, and the room service is polite to a fault, they do not disturb you. Every second day or so instead of the usual two staff coming it to tidy up, a heavy squad of about five guys arrive and polish the apartment from top to bottom. Very impressive, but so quiet that you can perfectly happily work away at a desk while they are there. Iron is good, ironing board, slippers, dressing gowns, safe in the wardrobe, all the usual necessities. The delay between the choice of temperature and that water arriving can be up to about a minute, maybe more, so if you want a shower you find it a bit cool, and by the time you get the first warm water, you have already turned it up too high, then you have to stand there while you continue to get the temperature wrong. Had two showers a day, didn't enjoy one of them. Now lets talk about general service. It is excellent, most often delivered quickly and with tremendous good humour, the people are extremely polite and it makes you more polite than normal. I sat for about three hours over breakfast with a computer one day at a table in the open air restaurant and they just kept giving me coffees. There was never a suggestion I should give up the nice table. The staff all have the wrong names on their badges, and the guys have badges like"Tom Hanks" , "Will Smith", so whether it is a joke , or recognition that the customers are mainly western, or staff names are unpronounceable,I don't know. Breakfast has an enormous choice of buffet, from all the normal european type dishes, sausages, bacon, fish stew, curries, I mean the choice is tremendous, and a la carte options also available for eggs of course. Everything is very fresh at all times. There was one meal I had, a margherita pizza, and it was just terrible. The simplest of all pizzas, but I have had frozen pizzas for a couple of quid much better than this. Maybe they have no empathy for this type of food, everything else was pretty good. I had a mixed fish platter one night, salmon, some white fish like bass, shrimps, a shell fish, absolutely lovely fresh chargrilled vegetables as a base, splendid, washed down with a couple of Heineken and chat with a few civilians at the bar, couldn't be happier. In general I didn't bother wandering around to see nothing and spent much of my time in the hotel/apartment /bar /restaurant, working, eating and drinking with family, and I had a really nice time. I liked the place so much I actually got another apartment on the same floor so my family who had another apartment in Patong would be near and I could work while they also had a nice place to be, down the hall. They loved it, they cleared my fridge out of beers and took the oreos. Patong is a kind of funky town, and the fact you can buy a tee shirt that says "No, I don't want a massage, a taxi or a f'""king suit made" shows you how much importuning gets made, Pavements are four feet wide, every third store is a massage parlour with girls, ladyboys and boys all willing to give you a massage, and some of them have signage that promises "no sex", which is a nice touch. There is nothing worth buying in the town, it is the downmarket tourist tat you really should avoid. The town smells like an open sewer quite a bit of the time, which it is pretty much, and it is half built, people work like mad, tuk-tuks are to be avoided, taxis are to be bargained with, but you can walk everywhere in under an hour anyway I think, feels pretty safe to me walking around, and I am a pretty careful person. I asked for a hotel car connection to Phuket airport on the day I was leaving, Merc 220d for 1,900 baht, I am sure I could have done it cheaper, but the point was I like the trains to run on time. I paid for all of it myself, no business charges, so while it was probably a bit dearer than I might have spent, I am a bit time poor, and this place ran like clockwork, loved it. The staff were great, and one of the owners, a European, was usually around the restaurant and bar area much of the day. and evening Funny enough they don't do laundry, but it is done by the kilo about twenty yards away from the hotel, for peanuts, so I see why they don't bother. Anyway, it suited me down to the ground for the days I was there until 20th December or so, and if I ever have to go back to Patong, I know I will just stay there. Maybe I could save myself a couple of hundred euro over a few days staying somewhere else, but for the lack of grief, the high level of service, the complete lack of worry, the nice guests you meet, why would I bother?
Great room, great staff, clean, nice bar and restaurants, location quit and close to center. I would recommend this hotel as a great escape from the Patong busy streets. I will be happy to stay there once more.
Great hotel and staff. Perfect for western families looking for quiet street but close to everthing. The room service food was excellent, staff very attentive, and breakfast was great. Surround sound in the living room and spacious bedroom.
