Ashlee Hub Hotel Patong

The hotel is a good price for what you get. The breakfast did not interest me as I slept to late. The staff were friendly although the managements decision on if you had a guest is to inform you of a charge, this upset me as I had booked for two adults, but on check out I was not charged any fees. Noise is only an issue if you are on the lower floors although I often didn't return to my room until very late so noise was not really an issue for me. The hotel is clean and functional and value for what you pay.

I really liked the location of the hotel because it makes the accessibility to touristic area of Phuket so easy; especially because I was able to listen to live music of Hard Rock café while I was smoking at the balcony. I really appreciate the caring attitude of the hotel's staff towards customers and I need to admit that I was fully satisfied with their services. It was my first time in Thailand so didn't know if I would like Thai foods, but I absolutely enjoyed the Ashlee Hub's cuisine. I tried Thai foods in some other places as well but none of them was as good as Ashlee Hub's.

Positives: > Very central location. Pretty much everything you can think of that you may need is literally a few steps away. > Very specious rooms > Loved the cross ventilation. Just as we arrived we felt the room was a bit stuffy, but the big sized sliding window/balcony door was just what we needed, which made the room very airy. Plus if you open the room door it literally feels like you started off a 'wind turbine' ! > The rooms are well equipped with everything. Its clearly evident the rooms are designed by a seasoned hotelier as the little things have been kept in mind, Such as: ** The access to the wardrobe from the bathroom. ** The small counter top/kitchenette above the fridge. ** The work desk. ** Lots of extra spaces to keep your day to day stuff. > The views were also quite nice provided you are staying 5th floor and above, overlooking the mountainous landscape. > Nice breakfast ! Negatives: > If you are type guest who relies heavily on room services and/or concierge services this may not be the place for you as the hotel is minimally staffed. So don't expect efficient service if you ask for something. Also; there is no bell boy facility available most of the time so be prepared to handle your own luggage. > The surroundings to the hotel are quite noisy as it sits right next to Hard Rock Cafe and Hooters plus numerous bars that play loud music up until at least 11pm but it generally quiets down past midnight. Best to take room numbers 08 thru 12 as they are in the middle and hence are a bit away from the noise. > The hotel staff's proficiency of English was not that great so you may need to struggle a bit while interacting with them.

We as a family have booked 6 rooms in total for our 5 days 4 night holiday in Phuket. Each and everyone of us in unhappy with the customer service we got it from the officer and the manager at this hotel. The lift is 'out or order'. (They only provide one lift for the hotel guests). Im pregnant and another family members have babies too. We cant simply taking stairs to level 7 to our rooms. So therefore we are asking if we could use their staff service lift. They refused to answer to tht and told us it takes 2 to 3 hrs to fix it. They didnt even give us any other options. When asked the name of the receptionist, she replied, "why? " The staff didnt show empathy, didnt even sound apologetic at all. The other day one our family members called the reception to enquire which 3 out of 6 rooms inclusive of breakfast deal. Without checking they simply assumed there wasnt any. And after receiving rude and unacceptable replies over the phone, the receptionist asked my family member of such to make her way down to the counter. She went down with the printed papers stating proves that we had booked 3 rooms with breakfast. However the customer service raised her voice with the same answer still without checking. She then called out the manager and the manager enlarged and rolled her eyes and spot out the same answer without checking in the system too. When my family members insisted them to check the system, they checked and realised there is breakfast for 3 rooms. They then just tell us the room nbr and no apologies in return. In room 701, on the first day of our check in, we came back from shopping, the room is flooded. The aircon is leaking. They send the maintenance officers to check and again nobody uttered a word sorry even after noticing our luggage is wet due to leaking too. Overall, we didnt enjoy our stay here as the hospitality was given by the staffs in really bad. Not friendly and rude to hotel guests. We hope the management of the hotel would look into the staffs professionalism.

Great room, clean and modern. Nice roof top pool, with good happy hour deals at the bar. Central location with everything in walking distance. Would stay there again if in Phuket. People who spoke in reviews about the loud bars ect...what do they expect given the hotels location. Not fair to complain about this. Even so i you can not hear with balcony door shut. And all the music stops at 2am on the dot. Why would you be in Patong if you did not want the nightlife???

The location of the hotel is good and if you get room at right side you wont hear the loud sound of hard rock cafe. The rooms are spacious and has a balcony. It has rooftoop lounge which give nice view of city .Rooftop swimming pool and a pool table adds on to your stay experience. The staff is good and breakfast have good options for vegetarian. Patong beach is just at 5-7 mins walking distance.

This hotel was in a great location if you enjoy the craziness of Patong. However, our room smelled of smoke and wasn't the cleanest. We got it for around 50 dollars and I would say we got what we paid for, nothing more.

If looking for a place to stay in the heart of nightlife then this hotel is the right choice. Its not bangla road but still you will never sleep with the window open.. it was clean, breakfast was not so pure as i ve read from other reviews. The room was comfortable. The stuff was ok BUT they don't speak English. Asking about the safety box and get answered for the wifi password had fun at first place. When we checked in They gave us a voucher with 2 FREE DRINKS. I went to the bar and ordered 2 gin tonic, at the end they charged me the second one because they said the voucher was for one drink with alcohol and one without. But it was clearly written "2 free drinks". I tried to make this clear but NOBODY WAS ABLE TO SPEAK English. Air conditioning and wifi was working properly. cleaning service, bathroom & bed was good as well.

Hotel has a great location with an atm, chemist, travel agency (although go over the path and see Linda she's awesome) right out the front door. Loads of little bars and street food vendors. The hotel itself is basic but does the job. Bathrooms need a little work, our bath had no plug, and the water from the shower head pooled behind the bath and ran down the tap fittings which had been cut too big thus a hole for water to run down :/. Basin tap only had cold water or we couldn't work out how to get hot? Service form hotel was ok. The in room menu has a typo and the kitchen does not open at 6.00 which made trying to order breakfast for early departure very very hard. They do however have a breakfast snack available if you request. Quite a good serve of juice, fruit, sandwich and cakes to start your day. Tries to order a fresh milk for the room. Gave up and walked around the corner to the 7/11 (by the way its tucked between 2 shops as you turn left onto the street). Breakfast was good. they had an egg station. My main negative with this hotel is the beds. they are ROCK HARD. so if you like hard beds then come here. I had asked for beds to be made softer and they did try, but still soo hard that it effected my sleep (and i can normally sleep anywhere!). We ended up going to the Big C and buying our own mattress toppers. TV channels are more of a miss, TV contrast very dark i was unable to fix. Only 2ish channels that have english... Free wifi was good, but need to get new code every 4 days. Ok hotel but i'm not in a hurry to stay again

The first assigned room is very noisy because of the bars nearby. In day and night time, the bar / club's music /band show is very loud and noisy. Then I was changed to another room, this room is much more quite but still can hear very little music from outside. Room is clean and staffs are helpful.
