Thoroughly enjoyed a few days at the Residence inn - idea location for exploring Tempe, wonderful swimming pool, huge room with its own kitchen area, and a designated parking area (could do with a few more spaces).. breakfast was basic but sufficient, staff were friendly, room very comfortable. Thank you!

We stayed for five nights in early April. The pros and cons: Pros: **Suite was nice and big - two bedrooms with two master bathrooms, a tv in each room **Big, well-appointed full kitchen **Windows opened to get air flow when the temp was nice outside **Nice large breakfast **A basketball court and pool/hot tub on site Cons: **Parking was really limited in the area where our suite was so sometimes we arrived late at night and were quite a walk from our room **Sometimes the pool/hot tub area felt super crowded, so much so that we'd opt out of using it for a while. It wasn't super small but just a lot of people wanted to use it I would come here again.

This is. It my favorite Marriott. Did. It offer welcome gift, no room upgrade — could care less that I was highest level Marriott. Hotel ok but nothing exceptional. Breakfast very average. Will not stay here next trip.

Old apartments converted to a residence inn. Has all the amenities that an apartment normally has save the washer and dryer. Two bedroom was huge for us as we had my wife and I and 3 kids with us. Breakfast was well below average, not that I expected a lot, but this was not good. One day we went across the street to McDonald's and paid. Pool is decent. Good basketball court. Nice location right off the freeway.

Spent a weekend in the Phoenix area This is a convenient location, close to the highways. Extremely kind and professional staff. Right sized suites, very clean. Definitely would return. Also - I left a jacket hanging in the closet and called them. The jacket beat me home as they shipped Fedex to me. Very much appreciate their willingness to help out.

Stayed one night on a cross country trip. Nice room with comfy bed, full kitchen, couch with pillows, USB ports on desk and tables beside couch. Nice shower head with good water pressure. CONS: Noisest hotel we've ever stayed in ( and that's a large amt). People slamming doors all night. Kitchen only had 2 sm pans for cooking. ( shldnt have to ask for more ). Bed was too close to drawers that were only needed for holding TV. ( hint 1: get rid of drawers, closet is roomy enough, and mount TV to wall) Plugs on walls beside the bed are so outdated nothing would stay plugged in. ( hint 2: add USB ports to both sides of bed). As I said, this was a cross country trip so our sense of time has been a hard adjustment last 2 wks, making it very frustrating when maid starts knocking on the door early in the morning to clean the room. This was our cue to get out. Had an upstairs room so as we descended the steps with our luggage, we had to move her heavy cart out of the way in order to get by. (Hint 3: we use mobile ck in and out. Kindly look next time so you dont interrupt someone after an already exhausting night of door slamming). For us, there will be no next time.

Pros Comfortable bed Mobile checkin and notified early room was ready Really good internet service Nice Kitchen Non smoking signs posted outside the building. Cons Checkin went fast once the hotel attendant finished her texting Found used red sock in our room on chair Left it on the table in case anyone calls to claim it Only 2 small quart size pots for cooking, could have used a frying, baking dish or a bigger pan. Hotel needs some soundproofing, and doors slamming shakes the whole building Room has had a partial upgrade, but they left the old gaudy dresser ( picture below) at the foot of the bed so you can bang your knee on it at night

Hotel is old and is showing its age. Carpets have stains. Hot water and water pressure does not work very well in the shower. Rooms are very noisy because they are located next to a very busy street. Breakfast is not up to standards with Marriott.

If it wasn't for the fleas/mosquitios keeping me up at night, I would give the hotel a better rating. When I mentioned it to the front desk, the guy didn't seemed amused or even concerned when I told him the room needs to be fumigated.

Recently stayed at this hotel for family weekend at ASU. This Residence Inn is clean, friendly-well staffed, with comfortable rooms. I booked this hotel for family weekend at ASU as I believed that his hotel was within walking distance to ASU based upon a review that I had read. This hotel is actually about 5 miles to the ASU Tempe Campus, which is about a ten minute car/uber ride. There is a downtown Residence Inn by Mariiott, which is within walking distance to the ASU campus. Nevertheless, this was a good hotel with a shopping Mall within walking distance as well as a McDonalds, Wendy's, and convenience store immediately across the street. The gym is sub-par, however, the excellent breakfast makes up for the fitness disappointment. he hotel also has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and outdoor grill/barbecue. I would recommend this hotel as a safe bet if staying in the Tempe area.
