I stayed at the Residence Inn in Goodyear for four nights on a trip for spring training baseball. The hotel is particularly well located for fans of the Cleveland Indians or Cincinnati Reds with their stadium just minutes away by car. The hotel offers large rooms with separate bedroom from living area and a small kitchen. It's clean and comfortable -- though not plush or extravagant. Parking is convenient. The staff is friendly and eager to please. Breakfast comes with the room with a range of offerings. Other features are a swimming pool and a fire pit. That said, culture and good restaurants are lacking in the area. If that's important to you, you might be better served by staying in central Phoenix which is about a half hour east by car. All in all, the Residence Inn is a good comfortable choice if you're staying in the Goodyear area. Especially if you like spring training baseball.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the receptionist was pleasant and greeted me right away. We were sent there from our original hotel as they had a water pipe break. We were signed in and in our room within 5 minutes. The room was a suite. The bed was comfortable along with the pillows. The hotel was no smoking throughout the whole hotel. There was a treat reception that evening, which was a pleasant surprise. Ice cream with apple cobbler, chips, bread with spinach dip. The continental breakfast was good. Bacon, eggs, toast, waffles. Plenty of choices. Good coffee. I will definitely stay there again.
This is a new very nice Residence Inn just off I10 in Goodyear. Very clean. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is the regular buffet that all RI's offer. Will stay here again next trip. Several good restaurants near by.
I had a quick trip to Luke AFB and chose this property for its proximity to the airbase and because it was in per diem. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a upscale property, clean, and quiet. It is near lots of places to eat and shopping. There is a golf course next door, and not far from I-10 and Loop 303. Highly recommend.
A weird layout. The room was excellent. Very roomy. Our request for extra towels was dealt with quickly. The breakfast bar is difficult to navigate but the do have a couple of nooks where you have access to a private TV. It did for what we need but is weird
We stayed as this property while our home by David Weekley was being built in Estrella Ranch. The stay was longer than expected but the staff throughout our stay always went the extra mile. the property is well maintained and they pay attention to keeping the property immaculately clean. Our housekeeper named Connie was very attentive to our situation. Our son was staying with us and slept during the day as he worked at night. She was always very aware of this and still kept the room in immaculate condition. Usually when you stay in a hotel you have loud partying guests and noise this place was absolutely quite. No barking dogs, screaming kids etc. just pleasant guest and staff. The hotel is installing solar to help be environmentally friendly. The laundry room in this hotel was even kept spic and span lean.
While we love Residence Inn hotels, this one was just a bit different. Not bad, just not the same as others. The staff was super friendly, hotel was clean and really quiet considering they were all booked. Other Inns offer coffee and tea through out the day, which is nice. This one didn't, which is still ok, it's just nice. They did have lemon water in the lobby, and since it's literally over 100° it's nice to have. The breakfast was almost the same everyday. Eggs, sausage. Waffles. I didn't like that you had to ask for batter for the waffles, unlike other places they have the machine out. The milk was in a pitcher on ice. I didn't really like that, I feel like it doesn't stay as cold. Other places have little milk cartons or the machine also. We had ham and bacon once during our week stay. I had the oatmeal. I like oatmeal, many toppings for that. The usual juices Orange, Apple, cranberry. They have their "mixers" Monday thru Wednesday but we didn't partake. One night was chicken, mixed greens. Sounded good. But we opted to try the BBQ place down the street Rudys. Which everyone should try if in the area. I wrote I review about this place also. However, our room was 211, 2 doors down from elevator and guest laundry room and all was quiet. I love the kitchenettes, full fridge, microwave, stove. We made good use of those. Plenty of places to eat around, and many shops within miles of hotel. I'd go back. Non of these things are deal breakers for me. Overall, nice stay.
Way more pros than cons. We will be back for sure! Pros: Kitchen with full-sized fridge, 2-burner stove, dishwasher, dishes and silverware. Basketball hoop and balls to borrow. Huge studio with separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. Comfortable bed. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great WiFi; never dropped and only had to log in once during our 3 night stay. Cons: Fragrance too strong (not sure if it was put in the carpet or just sprayed in the air, but it was WAY too strong). Uncomfortable toilet seat.
Not only was the room quiet, but the lobby provided an evening social. The continental breakfast was a bit on the sparse side, but OK. The staff was always very polite and helpful. This is my second stay here, and I would return if in the area.
I like Residence Inns and this one is of very good quality, but the reach of their in-house WiFi is simply terrible. Our room, on the top (3rd) floor, at the end of one of the halls barely got any WiFi, even to connect our phones. It seems like they need a better router to reach their guests.
