This is a new very nice Residence Inn just off I10 in Goodyear. Very clean. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is the regular buffet that all RI's offer. Will stay here again next trip. Several good restaurants near by.
I had a quick trip to Luke AFB and chose this property for its proximity to the airbase and because it was in per diem. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a upscale property, clean, and quiet. It is near lots of places to eat and shopping. There is a golf course next door, and not far from I-10 and Loop 303. Highly recommend.
A weird layout. The room was excellent. Very roomy. Our request for extra towels was dealt with quickly. The breakfast bar is difficult to navigate but the do have a couple of nooks where you have access to a private TV. It did for what we need but is weird
We stayed as this property while our home by David Weekley was being built in Estrella Ranch. The stay was longer than expected but the staff throughout our stay always went the extra mile. the property is well maintained and they pay attention to keeping the property immaculately clean. Our housekeeper named Connie was very attentive to our situation. Our son was staying with us and slept during the day as he worked at night. She was always very aware of this and still kept the room in immaculate condition. Usually when you stay in a hotel you have loud partying guests and noise this place was absolutely quite. No barking dogs, screaming kids etc. just pleasant guest and staff. The hotel is installing solar to help be environmentally friendly. The laundry room in this hotel was even kept spic and span lean.
While we love Residence Inn hotels, this one was just a bit different. Not bad, just not the same as others. The staff was super friendly, hotel was clean and really quiet considering they were all booked. Other Inns offer coffee and tea through out the day, which is nice. This one didn't, which is still ok, it's just nice. They did have lemon water in the lobby, and since it's literally over 100° it's nice to have. The breakfast was almost the same everyday. Eggs, sausage. Waffles. I didn't like that you had to ask for batter for the waffles, unlike other places they have the machine out. The milk was in a pitcher on ice. I didn't really like that, I feel like it doesn't stay as cold. Other places have little milk cartons or the machine also. We had ham and bacon once during our week stay. I had the oatmeal. I like oatmeal, many toppings for that. The usual juices Orange, Apple, cranberry. They have their "mixers" Monday thru Wednesday but we didn't partake. One night was chicken, mixed greens. Sounded good. But we opted to try the BBQ place down the street Rudys. Which everyone should try if in the area. I wrote I review about this place also. However, our room was 211, 2 doors down from elevator and guest laundry room and all was quiet. I love the kitchenettes, full fridge, microwave, stove. We made good use of those. Plenty of places to eat around, and many shops within miles of hotel. I'd go back. Non of these things are deal breakers for me. Overall, nice stay.
Way more pros than cons. We will be back for sure! Pros: Kitchen with full-sized fridge, 2-burner stove, dishwasher, dishes and silverware. Basketball hoop and balls to borrow. Huge studio with separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. Comfortable bed. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great WiFi; never dropped and only had to log in once during our 3 night stay. Cons: Fragrance too strong (not sure if it was put in the carpet or just sprayed in the air, but it was WAY too strong). Uncomfortable toilet seat.
Not only was the room quiet, but the lobby provided an evening social. The continental breakfast was a bit on the sparse side, but OK. The staff was always very polite and helpful. This is my second stay here, and I would return if in the area.
I like Residence Inns and this one is of very good quality, but the reach of their in-house WiFi is simply terrible. Our room, on the top (3rd) floor, at the end of one of the halls barely got any WiFi, even to connect our phones. It seems like they need a better router to reach their guests.
We stayed five nights in March 2017 on Marriott points, so I can't speak to the relative value because rates vary. However, I can say that it was a great as a headquarters for spring training. An easy 10-to-15-minute drive to Goodyear Ballpark and Tribe/Reds player development complexes, and convenient to I-10 for the cross-town drive to games in Mesa and Scottsdale. Other teams' complexes are somewhere to the north and northeast. We stayed in a third-floor suite toward the back end of the hallway, directly overlooking the golf course with mountains in the distance. Very quiet location. Room was very clean, as was the entire facility. Friendly staff, from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast buffet. Breakfast had some basics every day and some variations from day to day. More than adequate to start your day, especially if you can figure out how to keep your waffles from sticking to the waffle maker.
This Marriott property was a nice choice for this couple's week at spring training. Convenient location, beautiful setting on a golf course, easy check in and friendly staff. It took a few days to get used to the slow, jerky, creaky elevator. The room was a suite. When you walked in, it had a living room with L shaped couch and big TV, a fully furnished kitchenette with full size fridge, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. The small dining table separated the two areas. Through another door ran a parallel bedroom with another large TV and great king size bed, then a separate bathroom that had a standard tub/shower combo with a very average AnyStream shower head. There is a modest mirrored vanity, sink/ closet area dividing the two with a very nice Registry full size hair dryer. There is an abundance of places to recharge phones, tablets, etc. Plus a blue recycling bin, good to see. We did notice the living area was cooler than the bedroom area. So we kept the drapes pulled to keep out the hot Arizona afternoon sun and leaving the AC fan on instead of auto helped a lot. We did not have much of a view, parking lot and an abandoned driving range, but we were close to the elevator. Our room was incredibly quiet day and night. The golf course view must cost more. The gas fire pit is really nice, we spent some time out there, meeting some nice people. The pool area is pretty small, only four lounge chairs and mostly shaded by two large palm trees. The pool guys told us it is heated to 85 degrees. There are three umbrella tables with chairs set around the pool deck. There is a nice hot tub tucked in a corner. The solid blue pool towels are thin and small. The free breakfast buffet was okay, the earlier you got there the better. The weekday evening Mix offered some lite snacks.
