It should be noted the host compensated one of my nights. There were small grub like insects (I’m assuming maggots) that just started showing up in one of the upstairs bedrooms. We would kill some and then there were more and more. Even on the bed. Having to make new arrangements at 10pm at night is not a way to spend a vacation. I never heard what they did about the issue.
