Amazing place to unwind and relax and let your hair down!!!! When you are here you are stress free no worries just you and nature.

Everyone at the resort was very friendly and always ready to help with what ever you needed. Pool was nice, and the lazy river was great. Definitely will be going back

golf was great - paying extra for the adult only pool at the spa and having breakfast there great. All the hotel restaurants had good food and service. Place was just all together to crowded and noisy with families/children on the weekend. During the week it was much better

This is a very nice looking hotel, but service and amenities don't match appearances or cost. Unlike most hotels these days, Internet is not free and quite expensive. Along with other things that other hotels have for free, I found no mention of free breakfast, nor water, anywhere. Missing one of these things is no problem but all of them together just makes me feel like the hotel puts making and saving money ahead of comfort of its guests. If you have a room above the main lobby, the terrible acoustics carry everyone's voice from the cocktail area, even up to the 6th floor, and the door did little to block the sound. Most of the day this was not an issue but 19:00 to midnight, be prepared for noise. Room cleaning was a bit lacking as well dirty towels were taken but not replaced some days, the breakfast ordering card was never replaced after the first day, and even with lacking service and high cost, they leave a note in the table with the room cleaner's name and asking for tips. Lastly, no complimentary valet, valet drivers drive the cars extremely aggressively, and if you don't want to do valet, expect a 10 minute walk to your car walking. Decent hotel, just expect lots of added on expenses instead of paying upfront, and phone calls to get what you want.

Great restaurants on site, amazing pool, friendliest staff you could hope for... Highly recommend

Stayed here with wife for baby moon. This is a beautiful hotel with immaculate grounds, pools, facilities. Not sure if it was just our room but the bed was very uncomfortable, too hard, bad enough that we both had terrible sleep for 4 nights. TV was in very bad shape as far as functionality; screen cut out often. Room was near elevator which was extremely loud (#3551). The problems made me feel the stay was not worth the cost. If the room had been better I would give this hotel top marks.

great place for vacation, nice pool, delicious food, nice people!

Everything was excellent. I had dinner at the StoneGrill three consecutive nights as the salmon was outstanding, albeit it was a little too spicy the third night. The only problem was the chillingly cold temperature throughout most of the hotel; I enjoyed going back to my room periodically where I had the temp set at a comfortable 72 degrees.

This resort was awesome. The staff was courteous and the hotel was very well maintained. Well done!

My daughters, now 11 & 13 and I have been going to the JW Marriott Desert Ridge since it opened. We love doing 1 and 2 night staycations there. The staff is wonderful and the pools and grounds are always immaculate.

Was very good and great service. Very clean rooms and very decent in hotel dining. The golf course is beautiful

It's beautiful. Great spaces, but a few hassles. There is no hotel shuttle. I was told by an employee at the Desert Ridge that there was a shuttle to other Marriott Hotels in the area. There was not. There are about 4 towers of rooms, none of which are named or identified with signage. Lots of trips up and down to figure these out. I had 2 reservations which were supposed to be combined, until I got checked out after my first of 2 nights. Uh-oh. Then had to re-provide a card for charges on the second night. Also they do not believe in NBCSN, the main place for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was available in the bars on the site only, not in the guest rooms.

We enjoyed our stay, the amenities and activities covered by the resort fee are plentiful. Make sure if you want a lounge chair at the pool you get there early, or you might have to stand. The golf course was in great shape and I was quite surprised at the speed which I was able to finish 18 holes. The only complaints I have was one night we called the front desk and asked for two plates be brought to our room. After waiting a half hour or more I called in-room dinning and was told a different department was taking care of my request and was transferred to that department and was told they didn't know about my request. They came up quickly, but with bowls. I was just happy to have them so I didn't say anything. Another night I had requested some silverware. Again we waited about 30 minutes, called, was transferred to a different department. They said someone would be right up with the silverware. After almost additional 30 minutes someone brought the silverware up. We did have an issue with the mini fridge not staying cold. Twice we had to call maintenance; they were very prompt about sending someone up to fix it. The second time seemed to do the trick.

This is one of our favorite destinations. The staff at the JW Marriott are among the most attentive and pleasant in the hospitality industry. The hotel provides the perfect blend for both business and personal travelers.

Tucked away on the far northside of Scottsdale is this oasis known as JW Marriott Desert Ridge. Incredible property just far enough away from the city for a nice escape, comfortable amenities, super staff, great pool area, first class spa and of course golf! This was a quick Spring Break get-away with my 16 yr old daughter and she enjoyed it too! Scored major "dad points" by scheduling her first facial at the spa and treating her to shopping at a nice outdoor mall area just across the road!

Very pleased with the overall experience. The pool staff is very attentive. Also, hotel has one of the best spas I've been to- excellent customer service.

We were looking for a long weekend getaway from the brutal northern winter and we weren't disappointed!! Beautiful resort with great amenities. So many that in four days we didn't have a chance to experience them all. We enjoyed the many dining options including outdoor dining and happy hour with live entertainment. The service was exceptional. We appreciated the fire pits on cool evenings, beautiful landscaping, relaxing spa, the several pools, and the lazy river. All of the staff seemed especially friendly and helpful. And even though several events were going on, it never seemed crowded or noisy. Our room was large, with great beds, marble bathroom with separate tub, and a private balcony. The resort is located close to the Music Museum and an easy to navigate drive to many other attractions. We hope to come back next year!

Property was very clean, staff was friendly and restaurants were delicious. The pool was a lot of fun, the lazy river was lazy and we look forward to going back soon. The Phoenix/Scottsdale area is beautiful. Lots of great golf if you are a golfer.

The resort and its surroundings are amazing. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. I was there on a business trip so I didn't get to fully enjoy all its amenities. However, I will certainly be back in the future to take advantage of everything it has to offer. My only criticism would be the spa. I did use it the last day I was there, and I think that it is adequate. However, I would expect to see a more lavish spa at a place like this. Having been at some of the best spas around, this one leaves a lot to be desired. But again, I will definitely be back!

The people were friendly everything was clean and neat and we really enjoyed ourselves I thought the staff did a fantastic job meeting every need that we hadI would say this is probably the finest hotel we ever stay at
