Quiet roomy

The place itself is quiet, clean and very roomy. The parking situation was unexpected, paying for parking everyday was very expensive and I wasn’t told about that until I was checking in. The area is close to everything and easily walkable.

The apartment was fine – conveniently located, clean, and comfortable enough for a short stay – but I had issues with the host. Months after my booking was confirmed and fully paid, they added additional fees, which VRBO instructed me to disregard because the increase violated their “upfront pricing” policy. However, the host wouldn’t provide check-in instructions without the additional payment, then at the last minute we were switched to a different apartment than the one we reserved (301 versus 307 – which may have a comparable layout, but looked nothing like the photos in the listing and it was next to the elevator so very noisy). My husband and I travel full-time and have stayed in hundreds of short-term rentals with entirely positive interactions with hosts, so it was surprising and disappointing to encounter problems with this one and I’ll definitely avoid their listings in the future.
