Clean and spacious. Staff was helpful and attentive.
This place has a lot of character located right by the water in the Harbor Springs It would be nice if cleaning staff pay more attention to what left over from the previous guest stayed. we found a ball cap by the bedside when we walk into the room that belongs to guest stayed before us Otherwise this place is great specially for romantic getaway
Great staff.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary getaway and it was great. We loved our room. It was really clean. The location of the hotel was great too. It is within walking distance of downtown and marina! Staff was super friendly. Definitely will be back!
Pretty property. Very nice staff. Would definitely stay there again😊
Service and staff always great! We have stayed here for years
This inn is woven into the aesthetic and history of beautiful Harbor Springs. 200 feet from the harbor, it affords a fine morning walk in the stately Wequetonsing Association neighborhood. The rooms and common areas are generally spacious. They are decorated, furnished and kept very nicely, with a few nicks here and there. Cleanliness is obviously a top priority. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was enjoyable, even with mask stuff. Arrivals after the desk closes at 8 pm have been a significant problem for me twice in a row. Responding to voice mails or staying open till 10 pm might help. All that said, for me, this is hands down the best hotel in Harbor Springs. Because of its room quality and historical connection in time and decor, I consider it one of the best on Little Traverse Bay.
The grounds are beautiful and the staff is great . However they need a deep cleaning in the rooms and our room had a strange smelly sewer odor so we had to leave the door opened to the balcony most days . The windows look like they haven’t been cleaned in years .
it was essentially a huge bed and breakfast. Room was great, although it was very much on a slant (settling of an old house). Excellent price and location.
No Kleenex in the bathroom, we asked for it and it was never brought. Need an extra floor mat left for in front of the sink besides the shower. Floor is very cold in bare feet.
I love everything about Colonial Inn - the location, the view, the surroundings and especially the staff. I would recommend Colonial Inn to anyone who is looking for a place to rest and relax.
A beautiful little secret in this expensive town and a decent price too. We were very pleased and stay here again
I love Colonial Inn, the staff and the area. I visit as often as I can. I just returned from a vacation at Colonial and am already looking to see when I can go back. I find it to be a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
THE ONLY THING WAS BEING ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR YOU CAN HEAR EVERY THING ON THE TOP FLOOR . SO NEXT TIME WE STAY WE ARE GOING TO ASK FOR A UPPER FLOOR .
Clean, comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Was part of large group of buildings with several types of rooms. Pool advertised as indoor was not and was closed for season (mid September)
Charming room was spacious with separate bath and living area. Great location. We would stay there again.
On our way 'North' for the weekend ... unfamiliar with the hotel scene in Harbor Springs but discovered the Colonial Inn. A very nice "mature" hotel. Room was very nice, beds were comfortable and the shower hot. It appears that the Colonial Inn is living off it's nice location and it's past. The grounds could use some attention, it is Harbor Springs after all (i.e. edge the walks, replace the shrubbery). The real disappointment was the breakfast (Ugh!). With 8 - 10 people having breakfast on a Saturday morning, how hard is it to keep the 'Continental Buffet' stocked? The buffet reminded me more of the Super 8 off of I-80 I stayed in a month ago than what one should see at a 'Resort' hotel in Harbor Springs.
