Front desk was very welcoming. Full buffet breakfast offered a variety of options. Coffee is served all day. Room was typical. The furniture is worn, but perfectly functional. The carpet was not well vacuumed around the beds. There is no housekeeping during a stay. This hotel offers everything that a traveller needs and is reasonably priced.

They have a lot of improvements to make. The mattress was horrible. It literally sagged in the middle. ( I’m 130 lbs and shouldn’t make it sag). What looked like black mold was on the bathroom ceiling.

Work trip. The room when walking in smelled musty. Light bulbs out in lamps. Nothing is upgraded in rooms. You have to unplug something to plug in a laptop. There were very young kids working in the breakfast area in the mornings. Bathroom door lock was broke, no safety latch on main door. It’s outside of town, that’s a plus, because Charlevoix can be busy! Staff weren’t too friendly- no hellos etc. when I tried to shower and heard the shower next door, my water got cooler. It’s about the only game in town though for a work trip.

Carpet on main stairs and above the front office should be replaced. There were wet dog poop stains in several areas of the carpeting. Entire bed should be replaced. Air conditioner was loud.

We believe an employee was living in one guest room on 2nd floor along with her screaming child. Breakfast was okay. Bathroom had hair on floor that wasn't mine nor my husbands because of length and color. Obvious updates needed, especially the carpet in hallways and stairs. It was a quiet location not far from town which was nice for sleeping. Great hot water in shower with nice water pressure but floor of shower was in need of a good scrubbing!
