Motel 6 Petersburg, VA - Fort Lee

The only thing I liked about this hotel was the location- it’s very close to the highway and very close to downtown attractions. Expectations are never high with Motel 6, but this hotel failed to meet these low expectations. Cigarette butts were on the floor of my room, and the smell of smoke was baked into the hotel. The walls were paper thin. The towels were paper thin as well. I prepaid on Orbitz yet the hotel tried to charge my credit card regardless.

Staff was nice but located is sketchy high crime with abandoned home across the street.

The room was freezing and the ac would not turn off.

The room was clean and seemed fine. Our primary issue was the bathtub drain was clogged and drained extremely slowly so that you were standing in about 6 or more inches of water by the end of your shower. I told the front desk and they said they would look into it. This never happened and the issue was never resolved.

The hotel was a great price but you get what you pay for. There was no hot water. Just warm. I had to change rooms because of flooding. There was no shampoo, conditioner or hand cream in the bathroom. The tub was very slippery with no anti slip mat available. The hall smelled like smoke and marajuana. There was nothing around and no one at the front desk, most of the time.

Friendly staff and nice facilities. More blanketing would have been appreciated, but might have been available at front desk.

Didn’t really have a chance to enjoy much.. Quick overnight stay..

I stayed in Petersburg on church street and I like the Receptionist (Maneia)at the desk she always so helpful on 3rd shift even if she tired she still engages u with conversation .she stays late and over into the morning shifts too.. Whatever I need rather towels tissue or whatever she can do she makes sure I have it She very friendly I met with the owner on Sunday 2/17/20 And was very pleased to know I come stay at his establishment every other month I like the Motel 6 and will back there in a few weeks

So when I got to my room there was blood on the bed and the cable wouldn’t work so I called down and talked to the staff which came right up and was professional and prompt. When she folded the sheets back there was more blood on the bed and a condom folded up in the blankets. So the lady gave me another room. She checked that room first before giving me the key. But that bed had blood in it as well and the bathtub was full of dirt and wouldn’t drain. The staff was very friendly but the rooms were disgusting. I don’t know why they were covered in blood and i don’t want to know but definitely will not be staying there again!!!

Walls are missing in the hall way. My room was discussing and smelled. The back door didn't lock. Anyone can just walk In. And the cameras were only in the front. Hookers everywhere. Please don't stay here with children. And don't stay here if you care about your life.

DON’T GO THERE !! We checked in at 1am. Dirt everywhere!!! I mean — literary garbage on floors, like used plastic forks, no one vacuumed for years — dust and garage !!! On the floors, in corridors, bathtub — everywhere. Long thick wet hair on the floor of your room and bathroom - you’d get goose bumps. At first we were given a room with made beds, but when I pulled the blanket up — I realized that sheets were dirty and 100% used. Next room they gave us wasn’t much better, but sheets smelled with Clorox, so, being tired — we stayed despite all the dirt. Mattress was very soft and old — my back ached. Bathtub was clogged and we couldn’t take the shower because some germs-filled flakes of unknown origin and other crap started floating immediately, so you wouldn’t step in there even wearing plastic slippers!! Absolutely empty bath — no soap to wash hands! Forget about shampoo, etc. Hair on the floor and garbage in the corners everywhere (including the room). Some lowlives were spotted at night cruising around parking lot— we were worried for our bags in the trunk of our new car. It was the worst motel I ever visited. Should be closed, go out of business, fined for insulting the notion of hospitality. When leaving in 5 hours (a bit earlier, because it was disgusting) without a coffee, which is absent there— I nearly slipped on the stairs on long-ago splashed and now dried blue laundry liquid, which stayed on the steps, obviously for weeks. We are simple family, BUT THIS!!! My God!

You get 2 bars of soap ! No shampoo, lotion, no Kleenex no pen or paper in room no iron or ironing board! Horrible part of down!

The blankets and sheets looked used. They were dirty. The bathroom didn't look like it had been clean. It was a non smoking hotel but smelled like smoke everywhere.

poor location right off I 95 but not a place i would stay again.
