Our trip was based around a Party on Friday Night, and Whale Watching on Saturday. It was a fairly busy weekend, so you'll see Sleep Quality rated lower, only because we didn't get enough sleep. The Bed was fantastic. Otherwise, no complaints at all. Highly recommend the hotel
Comfortable city centre hotel. We booked a Premier room, with view and had a fabulous view over the river. The room was exactly what we required and our only issue was that we were next to the lifts and were disturbed by the noise of the mechanism all night. We would definitely stay here again (in a quieter room!) as it was so well situated and comfortable. We wouldn't eat in the main restaurant again (there is only one open in an evening) as we found it overpriced for what it was and had no welcoming ambiance at all - it was too well lit, functional and noisy from large parties.
I would have expected in advance to have appointed this hotel a four star rating - the two I have awarded is generous. I understand there are refurbished rooms here, ours (1418) wasn't and is crying out for an upgrade. However my gripe with this hotel started long before we reached the room. Having advised we would be arriving at 03:30am and given confirmation I didn't expect to be unloading my own luggage from the taxi and finding a trolley, a porter did appear after we had checked in. I expected to pay a supplement for the early check in not the mugs rate or walk in rate (as they called it) for a full day at AUS340. However a manager appeared eventually and provided some discount. Back to the room, think 1970 and you are in the bathroom. the shower is a ridiculous box at the end of the bath about 600mm square with a stupid door arrangement. No mixer tap and as the box ( I cant call it a cubical) is so bloody small you cant get away from the shower head while you select a temperature so burn or freeze. Budget wafer thin toilet seat, dripping overflow into the toilet that grates, drip, drip drip, all the time. The bedroom is okay but there are no useable power points so you have to recharge your devises in the other room - the standard expectation is an outlet adjacent to the bed on at least one side. On an early check in one just wants to unpack the essentials and go to bed, sling a few things in the bedside cabinet and sort out in the morning. I was quite disturbed to find a damp soiled flannel with brown stains in the bedside cabinet, quickly dispatched to the bin but it leaves you thinking... The corridor has litter, the same litter for the 4 nights we stayed. I invite the Housekeeping Manager to look at the white chips of some debris in the corridor outside 1418 and the cellophane opposite - they will still be there I'm certain. The lounge is reasonable, a little dated but okay, nice wine and nibbles, the music however drove us nuts - some kind of new age, whale music, possibly a bit of aboriginal mix that is just plain weird and nerve grating. Location is good, concierge are attentive and knowledgeable, but this hotel is such a disappointment.
I stayed in a Pacific Club room and I have to say lounge access added so much to my stay. The hotel throughout oozes luxury and quality and it far exceeded my expectations. The staff were immaculately attired, knowledgeable and extremely focused on making my stay as comfortable as possible. The club room was spacious, had every amenity I could possibly wish for and the attention to detail was appreciated. There are even separate lifts. It is an exact representation of what is detailed on website. The lounge is extremely clean and comfortable and had a wide selection of delicious canapé and drinks. The hotel is extremely easy to get to by public transport from the airport but I made use of a taxi on return as it was an early start. Would definitely return to Pan Pacific Perth and can honestly say would have paid more for the experience afforded to me (it was that good). It completely exceeded my expectations. Thank you to all.
Have stayed at the hotel before and once again was not disappointed. My children were given activity packs on check in which made them very happy. The lady that checked us in was very helpful and chatted happily with my son. The room was clean and spacious our bags were delivered to our room very quickly. The pool was wonderful although not heated so was quite a chilly dip. The lobby bar is great and the happy hour is well worth the time. Our buffet breakfast was delicious with so many things to pick from. All the staff members were very happy and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Would happily stay at the Pan Pacific again and would highly recommend others to stay here.
Stayed at the Pan Pacific for 2 weeks for our 10th wedding anniversary traveling from uk. Upon arrival check in staff advisor advised us we had been upgraded to a club suite complementary - great we thought lovely surprise for our long stay, Suite room was ok showing signs of wear and need of renovation but bathroom was best feature with rainfall shower - odd see through window into the bedroom from bathroom but could be blocked off with a blind! Enough storage for clothes etc, plenty of power points and great bathroom toiletries - the soap especially is lovely. Lacks proper coffee maker just an old fashioned kettle no toaster or cutlery if you fancy take out - we asked for some from restaurant. Upon check out we found our complementary upgrade was not so complementary at $20 per night a lot of money when you’re there 2 weeks not a great end to our stay - there excuse lost in translation mmm we are English and they I’m sure spoke English when we checked in - lesson learned get everything in writing,
A frequent visitor to Perth, the Pan Pacific is one of my Top 3 locations to stay. The main reasons I stay here are due to its central location, reasonably priced rooms, and generally good service. The check in experience has always been fast, courteous and professional. The rooms that have been renovated are clean, contemporary and quiet. The cheaper, un-renovated rooms leave a lot to be desired (avoid if possible). Room amenities are acceptable, but somewhat on the average side. There's no Nespresso coffee machine, and the mini-bar offering is sub-standard - with a very minimal selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks. The Club Lounge is disappointing, with a pretty ordinary fit-out, and average food/beverage selection, and not really worth the additional cost. The lounge is very much in need of a refit/refresh, and a wider (higher level) selection of food/beverages during the times its open. Like the majority of hotels i've stayed at, the wifi speeds at the Pan Pac are a bit hit-and-miss. Ranging from 5Mbps-20Mbps. Ideally when it comes to network speeds, higher is better especially when you're trying to get work done. The All Day room service menu is good, with a wide selection of local & international food choices - however their the Night Owl menu is definitely lacking. I totally understand that there's a lack of staff/resources during the late evening/morning hours, however it wouldn't hurt to have a burger, or sandwich on the menu. Thank heavens for Uber Eats! I think with a few minor tweaks (i.e. a Club Lounge refresh, and improved wifi speeds, updated mini-bar/late-night menu offerings) the Pan Pacific would be able to level up to a true 5-star hotel.
Enjoyed a two night getaway pre and post ascot celebrations for the Melbourne cup event. Upgraded was as a nice surprise and appreciated, hotel staff are attentive, welcoming and professional. I would highly recommend
wonderful hotel.close to city center, train and river cruises.check in fast and efficient.concierge very helpful.do not go passed this hotel if staying in perth.most things within walking distance.public transport easy
Great staff, very helpful and cheerful. The room was nice with lots of space and a nice view of the river. The drinks and canapes were beautiful in the club lounge. Thanks to everyone for making our anniversary very special.
