Checked into this hotel after a trip from Bangkok on a rainy winters night and the check-in staff were excellent. In fact al the staff we encountered during our stay had a great service mind and were extremely helpful. The wine selection was excellent, the food was great and the room was very comfortable. Thoroughly recommended
Our relatives have just spent several days at this hotel and they could not have been more impressed with the service, food offerings and location. We had a excellent family meal with them last night and we couldn't have been happier with the meal, service and wine selections.
We booked the hotel through a Groupon "Mystery Junior Suite" offer. Nevertheless I knew it was the Novotel Langley as I recognised the room from the picture on Groupon as I had stayed there many times on business before retiring so I knew it was good value for money. Although all the staff were new to me they were just as pleasant and helpful. The suite was roomy, bright and clean and overlooked the river, although perhaps a little dated as seemed much the same as 10+ years ago but it may have been refurbished. The only downside was the hand basin drain had a minor leak and the hotel was unable to repair it over the weekend, which I find surprising, although they were very apologetic about it. The included breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from including an "egg station". Fenians Irish Pub is always good for a Guinness and counter meal. It was nice to revisit the hotel.
The location is good, but not best because you still need to walk a bit to some point of interest like lake and playground, the red cat stop, restaurant, convenient stores (Golden hay is the cheapest). It is good to walk if not cold and windy. The hotel has a kids corner. The lobby is good with some seats. It is also in front of Pan Pacific Hotel, where mostly local tour pick up point. One good interest point is The Perth Mint, where the free bus stops. Nearby restaurant are Subway, Mama Tran (vietnamese), Bulgogi, some chinese restaurants. When it is Saturday and Sunday, only few restaurants open after 6 pm, you need to walk up Hay Street (where the Perth Mint is), get passed Golden Hay up to the end of cross section with Bennet Street, you will find Middle East retaurant and Asian restaurant (Wok and Ladle). The hotel itself is good bedding. Upon first arrival, they provide you a free mineral water. Towels and shower amenities are available. Kettle and hairdryer is there. The staff is very friendly.
We live a long way north of the river and it seemed more practical to stay in Perth rather than taxi it home after a few drinks. Staying over offered a better experience as we were able to spend time looking around the city the following day. Something we haven't done for along time.
We stayed here for a few nights and were impressed with the location and the hotel. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was amazing. A chef cooked us an omelette each morning and we had beautiful coffee included. A great range of food on offer. Dinner was also nice, but not as amazing as the breakfast. The room was clean and suited our needs. If anything, the bathroom was a bit dated and needed an upgrade. Would stay here again if in Perth.
I stay at this hotel somewhat regularly with work and I have to mention the staff - particularly the restaurant and bar staff. On all occasions I have found them to be genuinely engaging and friendly. It seems that they really care that you leave satisfied. On a recent stay I observed the staff at breakfast pay particularly attention to families (it was school holidays). It was nice to see that they wanted to make them feel welcome. What I found exceptional was that the staff engaged with children directly - it was very impressive indeed. Also worthy of a mention was the unprompted birthday surprise for my colleague who joined me. The restaurant and bar staff here are really top notch! The food is of a high standard too.
Stayed here for two nights family of four - pretty standard size hotel room, couple of chairs and small table, pretty much a space for sleeping! Wifi was good for three devices. Bathroom could do with an update. Our room had a view of next door building's wall but the gym and spa on the top floor have awesome views of the river. Location is good a couple of blocks to walk to downtown shopping area and the quay. Breakfast here was one of the best Novotel brekkies we have had. We ate dinner in the restaurant and while the food was great the service was not so good seemed the staff were inexperienced. Easy parking under the building for a fee. Would stay here again.
Had 2 Nights at this Wonderful Hotel , As our Flight was very late to arrive at Perth airport We E mailed the hotel to say we would been in late , they called me up and asked if I needed a meal when we arrive ! How kind , We ate in the hotel one night and the food was spot on . Nothing to complain at all ,a very good well run hotel with excellent staff .
I stayed overnight at the Novotel Langley in Perth recently. Although the weather was rainy outside the hotel was warm and comfortable. I would be happy to stay there again in the future. Staff were friendly and helpful.
