In Perth on business I stayed one night at the 4 Points by Sheraton close to the city centre, opposite Perth Arena. The room (on fourth floor) was spacious, clean with modern bathroom. Hair dryer, iron and board are all available in the room. TV with Foxtel. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a wonderful spread with a huge variety of cereal, pastries, juices, yoghurts and hot, cooked selections. Only suggestion would be a decent cup of coffee, not the machine variety. The negatives are, once again, the lack of free in room wi fi (unless you are an SPG member). As I was there on business, this lack of free wi fi is particularly annoying. Get with it Sheraton, if Rydges can manage it, why can't you?? The other negative was a $6 delivery fee for in room dining. Travelling solo, I hate eating alone in the restaurant. I had to collect my meal from the bar presented in a paper carrier bag - no offer of a plate or cutlery. I think that is very poor customer service considering the price of the rooms. So although a nice room and good staff, I will not stay again or recommend it to colleagues.
I stayed here on the night of the 10th of August. Fixtures, fittings beds all good. I was exhausted so ordered some room service. My caesar salad came without the promised egg, white anchovy or cutlery. I sent it back to the kitchen and requested an alternate meal. To my surprise, I was charged for both! Lift your game Sheraton not good enough!
Hotel located across the road from Perth Arena. While the immediate surroundings are not exciting, it is about 5 minutes walk from Hay Street and St. George's Terrace. So enough places to visit. I was working in the QV1 building on St. George's Terrace and the location suited me to a tee. The hotel foyer is adequate. I was on the SPG Floor (level 6). The floor and corridors look dated. However, the room was very spacious with modern decor with a renovated bathroom. As I was there for business, I needed to use the room to work from. Very comfortable for this purpose, with good quality Wi-Fi. King size bed was also very comfortable. I was directly under the gym, but did not bother me (I was informed at check-in). Process of checking in and out was very swift. My rating is based on the room and access to business areas where I was working. Will stay here again.
The property is located across the road from the Perth Arena, a short walk to the CBD, Northbridge, Perth Arts and Cultural Centre, Elizabeth Quay. Also, down the road from the strangely named Watertown Shopping Outlet - which isn't actually near any water! Pleasant, modern, clean rooms that live up to the 4* rating! Breakfast was included in our room rate and offered a wide buffet selection. I highly recommend ordering from the a la carte for Coeliac (Gluten Allergy) though AND to check the waitstaff have relayed the message to the Chef.
Great service by all the staff special thanks to the chef who looked after my dietary needs when I was there for training recently. The only negative is the noise or other visitors seems to carry into the rooms more than other places I have stayed so two nights of.very little sleep! Not in the control of the staff whom I found very helpful and accommodating 😄
A relatively new hotel in Perth but in a good lovation overall. What you'd expect from a Four Points hotel, food is ok, rooms are reasonable size and the price is mid range as well. Not a wide range of extra facilities but I didn't want or need them.
First the good news, it's good location, withing a short walking distance of the city center. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The property is well maintained and the rooms very clean. Plus the rooms are well equipped. Mind you there are some serious issues that would make me reconsider ever staying here again. First of all the air-conditioning seems to be living it's own life, I had it set at everything from 18 to 25 C, and the room temperature just stayed at what I think was 20 C. The view from my room was straight into another building, making the room extremely dark and not a place you would want to spend any time. The gym is a joke, a few cardio machines and some dumbbells does NOT constitute a gym, shame on you for advertising on your website that you have a Fitness Centre! Lastly, I found the very open lobby restaurant area rather dull and not a place I would want to spent any time consuming any meals. But this is really more of a personal preference. All together I would call this a fairly nice 3-star hotel, but this is also as far as it goes.
We are satisfied about our stay in this centrally located hotel. Almost walking distance from all local attractions and central night life, bars and restaurants. Room was spacious, very clean and quite oversized bathroom and shower. Staff very friendly, parking next door and not expansive. Breakfast? Good choice and quality and never overcrowded. Finally: hotel bar, nice and with wide selection of locally crafted beers! We'll be back while in Perth.
Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Buffet breakfast was a bit boring, same selection everyday for 4 days straight. The view is not great, just looking into other rooms and apartments. Also the room didn't catch much light. Fine for a place to sleep for work but wouldn't be keen to holiday here.
Great Groupon mystery hotel deal. Good location, within walking distance to Northbridge (Chinatown), shopping malls & riverfront. We were warmly received at Reception. Clean, spacious room 313, didn't have a view but was back of building so was quiet. Comfy king bed. Nice toiletries. Tea/coffee. All staff were friendly & accommodating. Hotel was spotless. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of hot & cold dishes which were continually replenished during service. Waitstaff took orders for cooked eggs & used plates were promptly cleared. Unfortunately, if you want Barista made coffee, it's $4 per cup and it's only Full cream milk in the coffee machine which is included in the buffet. Had a Club sandwich & a couple of drinks at The Best Brew ($40) okay for hotel prices. Hubby used the gym which has a great city view. Except for a few tears in upholstery of some of the equipment, the gym was well maintained. All in all we enjoyed our 5 night stay & definitely recommend it.
