We have just returned from Perth after attending the Hopman Cup. We flew to Perth by Qantas , were met by Just Transfers and taken to our accommodation at Four Points by Sheraton in Wellington Street. As we had flown over specially to attend the Hopman Cup, we could not have been happier with our location. Just across the road is the Perth Arena, where the tennis was held. As the weather was quite warm, this was ideal - as after each session of tennis the stadium has to be cleared, so we were able to go back to our Hotel and relax until the next session started - we had already booked our seats for the tennis before we left - food and drinks are readily available at the Centre - although some are quite expensive- but a small Grab and Go store near the Hotel was very handy. Our return journey was on the Indian Pacific railway and once again our transfers were met by Just transfers. A great 8 days
I have stayed at this hotel many times under another name...and I thought Sheraton may have lifted the standard.:: not to be. Positives; close to harbour town if you want to shop Close to the cbd and restaurants. Front bar is comfy and the menu is fine Negatives Rooms are dark and lighting is insufficient. Even the floor felt uneven! I decided on Room service which is now delivered in a brown paper bag complete with plastic cutlery! If I wanted to eat like I was at MacDonalds I would have been completely satisfied, however paying >$30 for burger and fries in a brown paper bag didn't feel like I was at the Sheraton at all. Not one to choose if you're in Perth.... Lots of other great hotels in the other end of town, which is far more scenic as well.
Booked in for one night to attend the Hopman Cup at the Perth Arena, opposite the hotel. Lady at check in was lovely and friendly, explained everything to us and good first impression. Room on floor 5 overlooked the Arena, which was great. Two double beds with quality linen, great sized bathroom and toiletries, small fridge, big TV, coffee and tea facilities. Room was clean, good sized windows with light and block out curtains. Breakfast next morning in clean environment, friendly staff, good selection of different products. And then check out easily completed. We parked in the car park behind the hotel and had card validated on departure - really cheap ( by city standards ) parking at $16 for 24 hours ( this was on weekend may be different during week ). Overall, could not fault our stay and had a very enjoyable stay.
My husband and I stayed here for just 1 night. We did a road trip from Perth to Esperance, so just stayed in the city for about 24 hours. We stayed in Perth before, so I knew what location I wanted. It's easy to walk down to the river or to the CBD, where all the restaurants and bars are. Nice and friendly staff at check in, the lady explained everything very well and took her time to help us with our questions. Room is big enough and bathroom too, very good shower. Everything we needed really, would book again!
Stayed for six nights here. Clean, modern and comfortable room and bed. No mini bar but this was not a problem for me. Close to free CAT bus service on yellow route. Excellent buffet breakfast. Bar friendly with food available reasonably priced but not cheap. Join as SPG member to obtain 10% discount for all food and drink. Staff all friendly, cheerful and most helpful. I would certainly stay here again
We stayed at this hotel for a night on the way to Margaret River. The rooms are clean and modern and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were surprised there was no mini bar. However, the breakfast buffet was excellent. Parking is not onsite but just around the corner. This was a reasonably priced and well located hotel and we would stay here again.
The plus point for this hotel is the location - in the CBD area, yet away from the hustle bustle of the city. Not far from the Watertown Shopping Outlet. Room has the basic fittings and clean. Very near to the free CAT bus station which can get you to the many places within the CBD area.
From the looks outside and the hotel finish at the lobby and hallway - it is dated and a bit vague; the front desk should get rid of the products display for sale - looks cheap! The design of the lobby with the bar and the restaurant - seems uncoordinated - yes lacks the presentation. The surprise is when you get into the room - it is spacious and clean - but very basic fittings; bathroom may have been updated; Nice bed! pillows maybe too soft. Staff are nice and cheerful. No parking - you need to park in another site and walk back or walk to.
Opposite the Arena ,walking distance to Chinatown and a free bus to the WACA. Can’t really add to the other recent reviews. Good rooms, twin with 2 large beds. Decent buffet breakfast, lively bar area with good meals. Free Wi-fi throughout. Good value
Stayed 2 nights at this property and I am happy with the stay. The front desk staff was very helpful as we arrived at the hotel at 7.45am. She offered to help us to get a room as soon as possible and indeed by 10.30am we had our room. The room with 2 double beds were sufficient for the 3 of us - the bed was big enough to be shared by 2 adults. The room was clean, airy and spacious. The bathroom and the toilet were separate. The hotel's breakfast was great - good variety of bread, yoghurt both the Greek and normal as well as a menu for you to choose the types of egg dishes. They even had little touches such as putting your coffee in a cup for you to take away! From the entrance of the hotel, turn right and you will hit Murray Street and Hay Street in less than 15 minutes. For those who are driving, there is a public car which is just next to the hotel (less than 5 minutes' walk) and you can buy a daily multiple entry pass for $24. I must say Four Point Sheraton properties never disappoint!
