We stayed in comfort suites in different locations during our road trip in May. This one was one of the good surprises of the trip. I does not look like much from the outside but the folks inside are giving it the TLC it needs. The room was updated and spotless. Some of the common areas are in need of some work, but the attitude of the staff (they are working on it to make it better) was refreshing. I hope they can continue to improve this hotel!
We are expecting a grandbaby next year and space will be limited at our son's house so we wanted to check a few area hotels. Luann was at the desk at Comfort. She was Gracious, accommodating, and informative. she showed us a room. We were impressed with the room and the breakfast area. We plan to use this facility next year.
Large portico for unloading and loading. The room was large, quiet and clean. The coffee was good and hot. The friendly staff really cared. Everyone was willing to go the extra 10 miles to help which is why I wrote this. I never write reviews. Lots of good eats near by. I would stay there again and Remember to tip your chamber maid if you're happy.
The only thing this hotel was missing was a laundry room. I went here on a business trip needed to wash work uniforms. I would come back room has a lot of space and clean. Good location by the mall and a Wal-Mart.
We stayed in room 210 while at this comfort inn. The room was great but the hallway on the second floor needs a little work. Carpet was bunching up like it was in need of stretching and smelled a little musty but it was clean. The exterior was in need of an update also. We did not eat breakfast there but it smelled great they were not open yet. Everything was clean just needs updated we would stay again. The staff were friendly and other then the tons of kids in the pool and hallway the hotel it's self was quite.
Spent one night at the Comfort Suites during a visit to Bradley University. The entrance to the hotel is behind a Perkins and not easy to find at night. I requested a double queen room on the second level away from the interstate, however, the only queen rooms available on the second level were on the interstate side. We did hear some traffic throughout the night, but it wasn't too bad and did not keep us awake. Also, there were a number of children running around the hotel when we checked in, but they quieted down nicely around 10:00 pm and we were not disturbed at all during the night. Rooms are spacious and have plenty of outlets to plug in phones, laptops or other electronic equipment. Water pressure in the bathroom was sufficient. Beds were comfortable. We wanted to cool down the temperature in the room, so even though the thermostat was set at 67 we had to manually switch the controls for it to run, and after cooling down the room, it turned off again for the rest of the night. Breakfast was adequate with scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereals, breads, coffee and juices.
Stayed at this property for a week and the staff, and property were fabulous...hot breakfast is enough to get you going..Great Value for your money..all suites property in quiet but convenient location..They even allowed my furry family..Thanks!!
Ideally, I would have waited to write a review until I left from my stay at any hotel, however, with what happened this evening I feel compelled not to wait. I am currently staying here with my 8 month old daughter and 4 year old niece and there is a loud party in the room down the hall that is keeping everyone up. I went to the front desk and told the attendant who in turn informed me that the people in the room are the band that plays at a local bar who stays here every week and should "head out shortly". I asked him what he was going to do and his response was "if they're still there in a half hour call the front desk and I'll say something". Excuse me, WHAT?! You don't think it's necessary to take care of this now, at 10:00 at night? My family needs to just sit up waiting for them to leave because these jerks come every week?! Unfortunately, my sister had to take matters in to her own hands and threaten to call the police because of the obvious underage drinking going on in the room before we were taken seriously. Perhaps Choice Hotels should give their staff a lesson in how to be hospitable.
I am writing this in the middle of one of the most sleep deprived nights of my life. I am traveling with my nieces who are 8 months and 3 years old. No one has slept in days because of the noise levels in this hotel. Teens run up and down the halls yelling and laughing and there is a party going on down the hall in which two 40+ year old men are intoxicating a group of underage women. When notified of this, the desk staff stated that "the band usually leaves in half an hour so it won't go on that much longer." Indicating a) zero respect for families and others needing to actually sleep at 10 pm and b) that this is a frequent occurrence at this dump. Stay here if you want to guzzle Mike's hard lemonade with the roadies for some unknown band and risk catching an STD and statutory rape charges. Otherwise stay far away from this inferno of sleep deprivation.
There are some areas of the hotel that could use updating, but everything seemed clean and there was a good amount of space for our family of 5. At breakfast, the eggs were good and the waffles were disappointing. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and accommodating.
