I've been lying in bed for almost three hours trying to get to sleep and have now given up. There hasn't been a break in the traffic outside the window. Between the cars passing on I-10 and the local traffic on Davis Hwy you will not get any sleep. I've stayed at the Atlanta Renaissance Concourse Hotel which is located in close proximity to the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport runways and slept without issue. If you reserve a room here you should plan on bringing ear plugs.
Stayed one night. Room was a little sparse, but clean. Ample space in bathroom sink counter. Room was close to elevator, but no problem with noice. Breakfast sitting area is very small, but we did not have a problem with seating. Looked like it was also used as a business meetIng room. Evening provided fresh baked cookies for guests. Convenient to I-10 freeway, but made for a noisy room if you are facing the front of the hotel. Next door is a Waffle House, and several retail shopping close by.
Rooms are very bright and nicely decorated. Could not ask for a better location, close to I-10, large mall and several restaurants. Beds were comfortable and room was spotless upon arrival. Front Desk staff was friendly and professional.
Great mid-range hotel with a really nice breakfast included. The room was furnished nicely and the beds were super comfortable. Nice TV, decent writing desk and bathroom (though the baths could use some updating). Overall for the price the accommodations were A+. Best thing of all? The staff. EVERY single person we dealt with was super helpful, informative and friendly. Smile on everyone's faces no matter the time of day, how many people needing attention at the same time, or how many phones were ringing. In particular, Beverly at the Front Desk deserves special recognition. She took an incredibly difficult situation (crowds of Floridians evacuating Hurricane Irma) and worked her magic to make everyone happy, including my party. Many thanks to you all.
Stay often at Fairfield Inns and our second time to stay at this one. It's okay overall as staff is friendly & pleasant and the room was clean. The breakfast was fine with a good choice of selections. This is an older Fairfield Inn but we would consider staying there again as its very convenient to I-10 East just before leaving Pensacola.
This property falls directly into the "you get what you pay for" category. It's nicer and has better amenities than a Red Roof or Holiday Inn but not quite what you'd get a regular Marriott location. Barbara at the front desk was GREAT-professional on the phone and in person, and staff was extremely friendly (woman cleaning up after breakfast ended asked my family if we were done or would like anything else before she started removing items). Room was spartan with two double beds-not quite comfy for two) and a chair and desk. TV was fine, everything was clean. Parking lot was small, we wound up in a Chuck E Cheese lot net door. Waffle House is also next door although free breakfast was good-scrambled eggs, cheese omelette a, hard boiled eggs, Canadian bacon and turkey sausage as well as bagels, rolls, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt and waffles.
My family stayed here as a last minute resort. There were absolutely no rooms available from Destin to Pensacola so we booked the Fairfield Inn. I have to say the people were nice enough especially the breakfast attendant but the hotel itself makes money only because it's a tourist town. Our room was hot most of the night and the restroom was tiny and everything just seemed old. The elavator seemed to be on its last leg. I complained about the air not working and I only got a we're sorry. Really, not even let us take off half the price of your stay. Would never stay again.
My visit just started poorly: 1) my room type was oversold which should never happen to a Platinum Elite. Not a huge deal - but it foreshadowed the rest. PS -the front desk person was nice. 2) Road Noise Road Noise Road Noise - I didn't sleep an ounce - I hear eveyr car, truck, motorcycle going by on I-10 a block away - thank god I'm just here the one night. You hear every car door from the parking lot too - on the Waffle House/I-10 side. 3) Breakfast - room is tiny....and the oatmeal not hot. Again, the staff member there was very pleasant - so at least they hire nice folks. 4) Gym - the tvs on the equipment don't work - so you get neck sprain looking to the right. omg - what a waste of $130 - and my week will start off horribly due to lack of sleep. Stay elsewhere - at any price!!!
We originally were across the parking lot at different hotel. Checked out immediately and booked here best decision we ever made. Delicious breakfast selection. Mini waffles biscuits and gravy fresh fruit. Make sure you come here and book early.. It fills up fast for a reason.
We stayed in rook 101 for 4 days while visitng our daughter. The TV did not work for entire stay. The front desk told us the TV in that room had been broken for a year. I filed a complaint with Marriott and received a meaningless response from Pensacola management that the tv did work. I think I know how to work at TV.
