We decided on a last minute week away before my husband returned to work plus bring our dog, which of course is always hard at the beach. However, my husband found this one and we immediately booked.
The location was GREAT. You hear and see the beach from the upper deck, easy walk to restaurants, liquor store, dog friendly neighborhood, etc. The only issue we had with proximity to bars / restaurants was the live music bar that played music on Friday night until at least 1am, but the music was nice to listen to. :) We were leaving Saturday morning so we took note of it which may not have been the case if we were in town until Sunday.
The king bed is very soft, I'm more of a firm bed kind of person, but still slept very well. My mother in law slept upstairs and navigating the staircase was interesting but thankfully she could use the lower level bathroom when she wasn't upstairs. The kitchen had all that we needed. It is a tight space, but felt there was adequate counter space. The freezer of the refrigerator worked really well plus there was an ice maker in the lower level refrigerator, there is a keurig and toaster, plenty of plates, coffee cups, regular cups, utensils, etc. We did run the dishwasher at least 3 times since we did make food frequently in the house.
The main living room couch was rather comfortable and still offered a great view of the beach. I genuinely loved ALL the windows, it offered a view of almost every angle around the home. The AC worked really well, but did have to close some vents to divert air to the bedroom as it did get a little stuffy. I also loved all the counterspace in the bathroom so we could lay all our items out and not feel cluttered. There were plenty of bath towels provided.
There are also some older beach chairs in the lower level storage and was helpful to have an additional chair. The washer and dryer was a great add! I used it at least two days and it helped us lighten our to dos once we got home since all our clothes were clean. The lower level deck offered a place to get out of the sun during hot portions of the day plus be with the griller while cooking.
The only issues we had was the internet didn't work, but we bring our own internet (so no issue), the upstairs sink had a leak from the left pipe, and we noticed on the last day that the kitchen refrigerator had standing water under the drawers. It was a great spot for what we wanted and needed. We'd definitely be back!
