Glad that we stayed here for only one night and probably not coming back again. Room Rate is overpriced and totally not worth the money we spent for a 5 star hotel. Comparing to Holiday in which is a 4 star hotel but much much better in service, quality, and a lot cheaper. The room was old and was needed of refurbishment! We could see the cracks and dirty spot on the wall and also furniture. This is definitely not a 5 STAR HOTEL! Staffs were friendly and the pool was nice.
Stayed at this hotel first 2 weeks in october We arrived on an early morning flight so arrived at the hotel at 9.30 am.told to go for breakfast and our room would be ready, which it was so excellent start. The room was on 21st floor and was faultless fantastic views all nice clean and everything you would want. The staff were all very nice, nothing was too much trouble. While we were there the top pool was closed for a refurb but there was always room round the other pool or on the beach. There is a shuttle bus runs to the rounderbout at the start of beach road which was a great asset .Breakfast was ok but they cater more for the aisian guests. All in all a very pleasant stay and would go back there again
Beautiful hotel the rooms were immaculate check in very quick as was check out. great staff nice quiet location not too far from the nightlife but far away enough not to be bothered by noise. The lower pool onto the beach was especially nice .
Booked an all exclusive suite for 6 days. Free executive lounge with food and free evening cocktails. Never had to eat out! Free transportation. Private check in beautiful ocean view, very nice room. My traveling companion had an accident requiring hospitalization, the hotel arrange transportation and medical care and insured I was taken to the hospital to visit. Will never forget this care from the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel for visits to Pattaya. The price was reasonable for what you receive. Be sure to book a suite with all the free extras and you will be very happy. Spa passes, food, drinks...
We had an early flight into Bangkok so arrived at 9am and were told the room wasn't ready. Usually a problem but in the outside part of the lobby they have huge sofas you can sleep on. Good work ! Our room was on the 23rd floor awesome views , the room was extremely clean and the housekeeping were awesome. Shuttle bus drivers absolutely made our holiday always waiting and always looked glad to see us, keep,up,the good work guys. Everyone in this hotel is so friendly I would have like to tip them all every time I saw them.
After we saw news coverage that there may be a volcano eruption that could interfere with air travel to Bali, we were recommended by our travel agent to stay at this property in Pattaya for the last leg of our honeymoon. This property is NOT at all a 5 star resort. The staff are lovely and try very hard but they do not make up for this horrid property. The property looks to be wearing quickly despite its claim of being only recently built about 5 years ago. We booked a private pool villa but the room itself was very small with a tiny bathroom and the thinnest of bed linens and bath towels. Our room and basement hallway to get to it smelled of open sewage. Gross. The private pool wasn't very private, we were located just above the general hotel pool and each of the villa pools are connected to the same water so you see your neighbours. Our pool was filthy with a dark black stain around the entire edge and some of the pool tiles were starting to come off. The power went out in our room a few times (not for too long) but we wondered if they even had proper backup power. We ended up cutting our stay short and booking in at the Hilton hotel further down the beach for the rest of our stay in Pattaya. The Hilton was a true 5 star experience and would highly recommend this facility. The property offers great views, a really cool infinity pool on the 16th floor and a rooftop bar that is the place to be if you aren't in the mood for the go-go bars. In reading up on the Crap Dara, it appears that it lacks a general manager and it is independently owned by a wealthy family who manage it in addition to running another business. You can really feel that it lacks decisive on-site management and has the feel of a resort that is trying to cut corners and save money. I hope they can get there property in order and in the meantime, I'd suggest they adjust their star rating to better reflect the level of quality one should expect. It's a 3.5 star property at best and no amount of vacant, ghost bars and empty restaurants can fix this. Offer less but do it better. Again, the hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. A special mention to their concierge. She was a very sweet lady who really attempted to improve our stay and suggested great activities for us.
We enoyed our stay in Cape Dara, the rooms were neat and well maintained with contemporary interiors. The staff is efficient, although not as warm and welcoming as ones we interacted with in other properties at Bangkok and Thailand in general. Almost all rooms have a sea view which is fantastic to say the least. In the evening, the sunset and multiple ships docked in the sea that are visible present a breathtaking view. Plan to relax over drinks overlooking the waters over sunset one evening for sure. I was really looking forward to the private beach, and although a couple of reviews on TA & Booking.com had mentioned it earlier, I was disappointed to know that the beach was inaccessible for a swim. The beach has eroded considerably and hence you can only relax on sunbeds overlooking the water. The life guard on the beach also mentioned there were stinging fish in the waters and hence discouraged us from entering the waters (which is fair) The infinity pool with a bar is cosy although a tad small. The main pool was undergoing renovation during our stay. There are plenty of affordable and interesting restaurants and bars along the beach road and on parallel roads once you get into town, so you might want to skip the in house restaurants unless you feel like splurging. Breakfast spread is vast with extensive south asian dishes. However, there are sufficent continental options too for Westerners. It gets really crowded in the mornings so grab a seat early. The property is located in the Northern part of Pattaya for privacy and exclusivity, I presume. Getting into town is not a problem though, as they have extremely prompt shuttles every 15 mins dropping guests to a more central point where shared taxis (must try them) and cabs are available to take you into central and south pattaya spots. The Tiffany cabaret, convenience stores, massage parlours are all just a couple of mins walk from the shuttle drop-off point called Dolphin circle. Overall a nice experience staying here, and nothing to complain about really..but somehow I didn't feel it offered enough bang for the (top dollar) buck! Would try another property the next time if I'm choosing a premium property again.
Cape Dara is such a wonderful resort with wonderful staff. Had the suite on the 23rd floor with perfect views and very comfortable space. I had club level access as well where the staff was very helpful and friendly. I plan on returning to Pattaya again in mid 2018 and I am already looking forward to my stay here again. Thanks for the love Cape Dara. #TheKitchenAssassin
Lovely views from the room, great pools one over looking the sea. At the edge of the town so not crazy with a few nice restaurants near by. I would recommend this hotel if you are going to Pattaya although on the edge of the town free shuttle.
You can see the whole pattaya from your bathroom, totally amazing, the sea view is excellent. The place to have breakfast is also comfortable, you can enjoy your breakfast with the wind blowing softly from the sea. The shuttle bus is also user friendly, the waiting time is super short while the drop off area is quite convenient for you to go to the beach or transfer to other transportation.
