We stayed at the corner deluxe, room was huge but with air con facing directly towards the bed which doesn't make any sense. Wind was so strong even turned to the lowest wind speed, and air con was too noisy. Problem with the bathroom door, cannot close well. Also, the button turning from tap to shower didn't work properly. Kids Club was small with extremely less toys to play, and cleanliness need to be further improved. Private beach is a bit derelict, only few sunbeds with was dilapidated. Rubbish around, needs better maintenance. Pool was nice though. The hotel has a counter for booking local tour or taxi transfer, but it was extremely expensive. I asked for a taxi to pattaya airport which quote me a price of 1500 baht, eventually i grapped a taxi on street which only costs me 700 baht. Breakfast was good, large variety of food choices with stunning views facing the sea.
I visited Cape Dara Resort recently, and to be honest, I did not find the rooms to be excellent. The bathrooms were pretty much old fashioned making it look a bit dirty. Even the sleeping quality was average. However, the view was great as every room had ocean views, and most of all the staff was awesome, and the pool was great.
Check in was very smooth and staff very friendly and helps us for everything. Room have a best view and facilities also good. Our rooms looks old but well maintained. Very much appreciated about their magic leaf concept for their environmental friendly campaign. It looks something different. Will come back for sure.
Cape Dara is such a wonderful resort with wonderful staff.. Had the deluxe room on the 20 floor with perfect views and very comfortable space. You can see the whole pattaya from your balcony, totally amazing, the sea view is excellent. The place to have breakfast is also comfortable, you can enjoy your breakfast with the wind blowing softly from the sea. The shuttle bus is also user friendly, the waiting time is super short while the drop off area is quite convenient for you to go to the beach or transfer to other transportation.
Nice hotel, looks good. Very busy though and the staff speak barely any English. Had a lot of problems with our bath/shower, no water would come out, this happened 4 out of the 5 days we stayed. Also, if you’re thinking of staying beware of the charges at the end, we were told that we had to pay for a bag that the hair dryer belongs in (which we didn’t have) 200 baht and then a hand towel was apparently dirty, so again another 200 baht. Also if you can try and order your taxis yourself as the lady who works on the tours counter always over prices taxis saying it’s longer to get there than what it is and charge is a lot more. The taxi company they work alongside with gave us 550 short change and drove of and then you find it difficult to communicate with staff about it if you don’t speak the Thai language. But all in all looks nice and got some pretty pictures.
The hotel seems to focus its strategy on cheap Chinese group tours (as many hotels in Pattaya) which requires of course cost reduction wherever possible. That is of course a viable strategy, but since the cost saving affects of course also individual travelers, the cost structure should also be adjusted for those guests. The room was nice with a great view, but still overpriced (nice bathroom and bathtub with seaview, but dirty windows). The restaurant could be nice, but not so well trained staff gave it a bit of staff canteen atmosphere. The tenderloin was horrible and cold, the salmon was undercooked. Even though we were the only guests, we had to wait ages to order and pay. Breakfast was very nice though and some of the staff were also very nice, friendly and helpful. Overall not very bad, but we would have got a much better value if we paid the same amount of money in one of the international 5* hotels.
This is my second time staying here. I asked for the same room, 2300. I love this hotel, the facilities, the staff. Having the suite we had club access with complimentary drinks, cocktails at happy hour, food almost all times of day. Room is very large, clean, with wonderful views. Between me and my friends we booked 4 suites. The staff even remembered us from when we were there 5 months prior. I love cape Dara. Will return again in late September 2018. 🙏🏾
This hotel was probably good in its day, not 5 star. Full of oriental families and kids screaming all the time. Would not recommend for a quiet break. The shuttle bus is a definite requirement as its too far to walk to town.
Located on the corner-ended of Na Klua road, which connected to Pattaya beach road. As such, the hotel is connected to private beach. Hotel room and facilities were superb. Super large room with panoramic view of Pattaya bay. Staffs were really nice and full of hospitality, even though it was peak time on new year day. Only thing I could complained was that being there on new year would come with gala dinner package. Foods were ok, but theme of event was not that excite. Could be there for just an half hour and left for something somewhere more fun.
Great Room, bathroom, bed, views, breakfast, pool, staff in fact it was all very nice except the price 9000 baht for a deluxe room, having stayed all over Thailand we are aware what should be charged. Location is OK as they have a free shuttle serivice to Dolphin Cnr.
