Cape Dara for me is the most luxury hotel in Pattaya. First step when your feets in the room you will don't wanna get out lol Clean, Near the beach, Nice view, Good Service, Food Delicious even room service and beach around the hotel that you will never get bored stay here. - 2 Pools that i can spend all day waste my time with it - Nice Restaurant for breakfast and Dinner Plan buffet that rotate every week - Bar in the pool and hotel - Cafe - Chinese Restaurant - Spa and Fitness Who wanna get out when you have all of this????? :) Even this is my first time review for this hotel but i go for more than 4 times already and used to try all the type room so my fav is "Dara Deluxe" and "Private Pool" and have Dara Lounge on 24 floor for customer who stay Dara Deluxe and Private Pool or higher type of room so you can see Beach, Sea, and City view in a same time. :) for me I give 6 Stars for this hotel and if you stay in BKK you can drive here super easily take time only 1.5-2 hrs

I don't know who sets the star ratings for hotels but I would suggest these are largely self awarded. When you pull up to Cape Dara, the huge entrance and prices charged suggest this is a 5 star hotel however there are way too many issues that you would not find in genuine 5 star.establishments. We booked a deluxe room facing directly out to sea and obviously the view is good - however the rooms themselves are somewhere between 3 and 4 star. eg our A/C only had an ice cold setting because the thermostat was broken (for 6 days) twice reported to reception - we weren't offered an upgrade (they did offer to move us to a similar room but late at night) or a reduction in the bill but given a cake !! Its not too easy to relax on your balcony of an evening as you are directly above the pool bar music which goes on late into the night. This wouldn't be too bad if they had a larger playlist - I must have heard the depressing Joan Armatrading's 'Fast Car' at least 5 times a day - by day 4 is was like being water boarded !! You can't charge any devices overnight as the sockets work from one switch which means you need to have the bedside lamp on if you want to charge anything - I thought they were joking when they told me that! 5 star ? It is sold as a beachfront hotel however this isn't entirely true as the hotel is built on it ! There is no beach in front of it, (just hundreds of hastily dumped sandbags), to the right there are just thousands of plastic waste items washed up on to the tiny slither of rocky beach and to the left you can walk a short way through the debris before being cut off and have to come back. Certainly not enough beach to relax on. Swimming would be a hazardous affair given the large amount of speedboat/jet ski traffic. The bathrooms, unusually for Thailand, are 3 star at best. No rainfall shower, not even soft close loos ! Every day I had to ask for the mini bar to be restocked (which would be complimentary if items were replenished) - even then it was rarely done. The breakfast is quite good though can get crowded. Westerners are likely to be put off by the eating habits of some guests. The hotel is probably 90% Japanese/Chinese/Korean clientele, 9% Russian, 1% western based on what I saw. This might explain why the English language is not widely spoken at reception but may also explain why the utterly disgraceful addition of shark fin items appear on the menu. I thought years ago the world got together to banish this disgrace and this is the first hotel I have seen for many years that openly serve it ! It shames Cape Dara that this is the case Regardless of whether you mainly cater for people from nations that have zero regard for the worlds wildlife this is completely unacceptable. Please don't ask me to reuse towels to save the environment (hotel speak for save us some money) and then blatently support the gradual extinction of the shark ! However the worst thing about this hotel is the bed reserving - see pic which was taken around 7:30am !! There are only around 15 beds around the pool that are in sunlight first thing to cater for hundreds of rooms, and every single one of these are 'reserved' by people who get up at 5am to place their items on the sunbeds before going back to bed. We witnessed some that were reserved that weren't used the whole day ! I asked the swimming pool staff why they allowed this and they told me they want to stop it but senior management have instructed them to leave it. So the staff are correct, senior management are wrong ! I wouldn't go back to Cape Dara based purely on this - it is just way too annoying and easily fixable. Do what the Hilton Hua Hin did with this problem and that is place a sign at the entrance to the pool area that says any beds with no activity for more than 1 hour will have the items removed and you can retrieve them from the lifeguard station. It worked brilliantly and they no longer have this problem. The staff here save the day as although English is not good are very willing, especially the pool staff. The pool is one of the best I have seen, a pool you can properly swim in, just a shame you won't get a bed around it. There are a couple of swim up bars with great staff too which is a nice feature though if you are from the UK, the Brexit disaster is going to hurt your wallet here. Though the buffet options run on various days are not too bad at around £25 per person for the seafood buffet (which is good) The review seems to be a tad harsh but if you want to charge 5 star prices you have to be judged at that level, and this hotel currently sits somewhere between 3 and 4 star.

I went there with my friend for 2 nights. Facilities in hotel was amazing! Nice swimming pool and main restaurant provided a good taste dishes. My room located in front of ocean view that very nice, One thing that I have a problem with it is Internet can’t connected well But never mind. We also got a good farewell from Khun Dang bell staff before we go back to BKK. ;)

We were looking to have the afternoon tea there. We already called the hotel if they can serve it at the main restaurant so that we could have a nice seaview which they said ok. They said we can go to the main restaurant and the staff can arranged the tea set for us. Once we get there, told the restaurant's reception what we wanted, then we had to wait for 10-15 minutes without anyone getting the order. When we asked the waitress (with the moody face), the first answer is that we had to walk to the bakeshop and order by ourselves. Then after 10 seconds she may just realized and told she can call to order for us. Overall this's not the way you treat the customer, they made us feel like we were begging them. If you want the afternoon tea with a view in Pattaya, just go to the more popular Drift at Hilton, It may a bit more crowded but the staff were much more professional.

Came here for a special occasion and the hotel and staff made it even more special. The design and views were amazing and the staff added that extra touch of class with their professional and polite service to us.

We appreciate their hospitality and kindness from the beginning of the planing of our wedding until the end of the day. There is no doubt that here is the best place for the wedding in Pattaya. Place is great. You can take a great photo! Food is fine (we had a western style only though). All staffs are professional for such kind of events, I think. We had invited our family from overseas but they also enjoyed themselves during stay. If you were looking for a place for a wedding in Pattaya, I would recommend Cape Dara. Besides, they speak English so don't worry about it!!
