The Terrass hotel is a fashionable modern hotel in a popular area. Location The hotel is located in the popular area of Montmarte. It is situated on a busy intersection directly opposite a cemetery. It is a short walk to streets full of restaurants (e.g. Rue des Abbesses), cafes, and fashion boutiques. It is about a five minute walk to Moulin Rouge and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the funicular that takes you to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. You can take bus 95 or 80 at the stop near the hotel to drop you near the Arc d'Triumph or the Eiffel Tower. Metro stations are also nearby. There is a great view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower from the hotel's seventh floor restaurant and bar. Consequently, it is a popular venue for guests and the public alike. Room We asked for a quiet room for our five night stay. We were allocated a forth floor room with the window facing a quadrangle away from the street. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The decor was modern and a bit quirky (or should it be called 'fashionable'?). The bathroom was also spacious that could nicely fit two people. The walk-in shower was large, had a good non-slip floor, but did not have a safety handle. The bed was large, firm, and comfortable. The bed linen seemed clean and fresh. Complimentary tea and coffee was provided but complimentary bottled water was not provided. Unfortunately, during the first night we were disturbed by the constant hum of machinery which seemed to be coming from an air conditioning plant at the lower floor of the quadrangle (we always seem to be unlucky to be given rooms where there is some annoying machinery noise and we are sensitive sleepers). We complained and requested a quieter room. The staff were understanding and allocated us to another room on the first floor. The first floor room was smaller than the forth floor room, but there was no annoying machinery noise. Unfortunately, we had noisy people in room(s) above us, or somewhere near us, where doors would bang loudly and it sounded like baby elephants thumping above us. The bed was less comfortable because it was made with two mattresses pushed together. There was a dip in the middle of the bed where one mattress was a bit higher than the other mattress. The first floor room had a much smaller bathroom and could comfortably fit only one person at a time. The walk-in shower had a design fault where the bathroom floor flooded every time we had a shower (we directed the shower away from the door but the splash back was enough to cause the flood). The housekeeping staff gave us a couple of towelling bath mats each day to help mop up the flooded floor. Staff The staff were friendly, efficient, smiling, and polite. The staff at reception were also good at providing information when asked. In particular, Fabio was always eager to help. We were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of Pinot noir, with a nicely worded welcoming hand-written note, in our room when we first arrived. The unopened bottle of wine was not transferred when we changed rooms, but the staff soon rectified the mistake when we told them. Food We did not have breakfast because we thought it was too expensive at 25 Euro per person. We did not have dinner at the hotel restaurant, so we can't comment on the food. You can get a good breakfast, lunch, or dinner from nearby restaurants and cafes. Problems/Suggestions Fix the design fault with the shower, so the bathroom isn't flooded every time someone takes a shower. When guests ask for a quiet room please ensure they get one the first time. Better soundproofing of rooms, and better mattresses, so guests (especially long stay guests) can get a good night's sleep. Housekeeping entered the room twice during our stay without knocking. The complimentary wine, and hand written note, was a nice gesture - and it was appreciated. However, a complimentary bottle of water each day would be good for all guests. Overall, it is a fashionable hotel with great staff.

What a cool hotel to stay at! Comfortable, spacious, great shower area, and the service was just outstanding!!! Not to mention a super roof top outdoor bar with views of the Eiffel Tower! This hotel is in the Montmartre area of Paris. This is a great location if you are a foodie, as you are away from all the big touristy area of downtown Paris. We would definitely stay here again! Oh yes, very short walk to 3 different Metro stations.

A lot of high rank and nice words on Tripadvidor. A super duper sajt with nice pictures. Here I am in a superior room with a noisy fan outside and rooftop bar above. It's like sleeping on the highway. So just avoid this hotel and choose another.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Terrass hotel on our last visit to Paris. The hotel is one of the best hotels in the Montmartre area, It seems to have been completed remodeled a few years ago. The staff was very helpful and almost all spoke English. The rooms were a nice size, we had a base room on the first floor and it worked out great. No view of the Eiffel tower from our room, but that is what the 7 floor terrace bar was for. Lots of great restaurants, shops, and bakeries within easy walking distance, A couple metro stations also within walking distance to take you down the mountain to the river and the museums. A full service hotel in great area off Paris.

I was in Paris for my Honeymoon. We had only booked a hotel for the first few days of the trip. I found the Terrass Hotel online and walked over to discuss availability with a staff member. He was able to set us up with a room that had a view of the Eiffel Tower for 2 nights and a regular room for our last night! It was incredible! Both rooms were beautiful. The view of the Eiffel was amazing. I recommend having a meal in the restaurant upstairs at least once. Our waiter was friendly, the food was fantastic and the view was even more amazing than from our room.

Came here with friends when we were visiting Paris just to go sit at the rooftop bar. It was absolutely lovely and the views were amazing. The drinks were great and the service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

This is a cool hotel. The rooftop bar is awesome! We loved sitting up there looking at the Eiffel Tower particularly on the hour when the lights flash. Solid wine list and a couple of excellent Armagnacs!

I have been to this hotel many times and absolutely adore it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel has a great design with cool, good sized, clean rooms. The rooftop bar on the 7th floor is a must to see the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. The location is in Montmartre which is the best place to stay in Paris, with great food and lovely atmosphere it's also close to a few metro stations and really easy to get around the city from here. I look forward to returning again soon!

This hotel is located in the charming neighborhood of Montmartre. I had never been to Paris and was unsure about location. It was great. It was easy to uber everywhere. The hotel is pretty and it had a beautiful scent. Staff was helpful. Rooftop bar has a view of Eiffel Tower. Andrea the bartender was terrific. Overall this hotel is highly recommended.

I stayed at Terrass hotel in mid September while sightseeing in Paris following a four day stay at Disney. I loved this hotel! The rooms were very comfortable, clean, service was excellent and the location was great. It is in Montmartre but it isn't in a sketchy area (which the area west of Moulin Rouge seems to be a little sketchy). Close to place de clichy metro stop, only about a two block walk from the hotel. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. The restaurant Le Basilic just down the street from the hotel is also excellent! I would love to stay there again and will hopefully have the opportunity! Five circles, I have no complaints at all!
