My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Sofia... the service was good. The room good for our 3 days stay... nice bedding... too little pillows though... WC clean... when we return at night the room is clean. Alpha the hotel manager was the best... always cordial and friendly... Ebrahiem as well... however his English was sometimes a problem. Overall a good stay...

Horrible nuit passée: 1ère et dernière fois

Malheureusement la pire nuit passée dans un hôtel. Points négatifs: Hôtel très mal insonorisé, du coup on entend tous les bruits de l'extérieur et aussi tout mouvement à l'intérieur (chasse d'eau,personnes dans les escaliers etc..). Mon séjour a été gâché par d'autres clients qui se sont disputés dans la nuit. Cela a dégénéré en bagarres avec utilisation d'arme blanche et intervention de la Police. Malgré l'intervention du réceptionniste, le tapage a duré longtemps, empêchant les gens de dormir toute la nuit. Pour courroner le tout, le deuxième réceptionniste du matin prenant la relève s'est montré d'une impolitesse et d'un manque de professionnalisme terrible, sans coeur ni même un semblant d'empathie pour les faits produits dans la nuit, alors même que son collègue s'était fait agressé.. Bref, Dommage, l'hôtel était correcte mais veillez à ce que tout votre personnel soit plus empathiques et serviables. Points forts malgré tout: hôtel près de la station de métro; chambre double de taille correcte, assez propre. Merci au réceptionniste de nuit qui a été gentil.

AVOID THIS HOTEL!!

When we arrived, we struggled getting our suitcases in through the lobby door. The front desk attendant just sat and watched us and didn’t bother to at least come hold the door for us. When we finally made it to the front desk, we were not greeted, no “Hello!” or “Welcome!” or even “Bonjour!”. He just asked, “What’s the name?” and he didn’t look up at us not once. He then told us, pointing to some tiny messy room behind him, “Put your luggage in this room. Come back at 2pm”. It was only 1pm. Most hotels will have your room ready even an hour early. He didn’t give us any luggage claim tickets so we chose to wait in the lobby to protect our luggage. He could have said, “You’re welcome to wait in our lobby, while we get your room ready.” Instead, he never got up, never looked at us, no thank you’s, and a smile? - forget it! He didn’t tell us anything about the hotel or the area. We felt very unwelcomed! Our shower had no hot water for 2 days! When we asked, they just said “everyone in the hotel is showering, wait 5 mins”. There was black mold along the shower floor grout. The beds were not comfortable, and the pillows were old, stained, and flat. You could hear all the other guests through the walls. There’s no elevator for a 4 story building. And there were always questionable seedy characters outside the hotel! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

This was a reasonable priced hotel. Beds were fine. It was a small room with a very small bathroom. It worked for the three of us. The area of town however was not the best, but we did not run into any problems.

Location was amazing close enough to açai Les night life like bars and food but at the same time far enough away that wasn’t noisy, only down fall with hotel was stated bottled water in room in description and wasn’t and when I asked I was told use the tap in room

Okay hotel near metro lines

The hotel is not modern and has no elevator for your heavy luggage. Best thing about the hotel is near metro lines 4 and 2 that take you to Notre Dam, Louvre Museum and Arc de Triomphe. It is also within walking distance (10 min) to Montmartre area and Basilica, as well as 15 min walk to Moulin Rouge. And staff is extremely friendly!

Good value great location hotel

The staff were very helpful with a good enough English spoken. The local population is cosmopolitan with a good vibe, Self catering is easy with 2 supermarkets close by along with the all important local bakers ( 2 ) . The Gare du Nord train station, the Sacre Coeur and artists square are within walking distance. We would be happy to stay there again

Avoid this hotel! Budget in a very bad location!!!

This hotel is in a very bad location! There are loads of active pick pockets in the area. The photos are not a true reflection of the condition of the hotel. They also don't provide proper linen, as they only put duvet covers as bedding on the beds.
