every week, i learn the word "confiance" through the actions of the staff at this particular hotel. this week further magnified such thought for me, as i encountered two very difficult situations. Three ladies at front desk resolved with such care and calmness. I was impressed more so this past week than ever. Merci, vous etes tres gentile.
Great location! La defense is a great area with beautiful modern architecture and picturesque landscape. Big clean room. Simple and modern amenities. Excellent breakfast. Very good selection of continental fresh produce. Fantastic service. Everyone attentive and friendly.
We stayed here twice this spring - for several days in April 2019 with children, and a few days in May 2019 just as a couple. During neither visit was the A/C on, and both times it was hot and humid outside! During our April stay, I called the front desk and asked if they could have someone check our A/C. They promised to do so, but nothing changed. The next day, I stopped by the front desk and asked if someone had checked. The employee promised he would have someone check that day. Nothing changed. When we checked out of our April stay, I asked if they had ever checked our A/C. FINALLY, the employee said "yeah, our A/C isn't on yet because it isn't hot enough." I told her I had baked every night. Bluntly, I wouldn't have stayed in May had we not pre-paid and received a great deal. I'd stay here again, but only November through February. Too hot the rest of the year.
Was a part of the packaged tour group! Great hotel in the heart of the city. Sufficient amenities throughout the hotel. Staff were knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to all travelers! Thank you Renaissance!
Initially, when I booked this hotel, I wasn't expecting a quality product and quality service. I lowered my expectations because it was was one of the best deals for hotels that I could find in Paris. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. We were traveling with my wife's parents and redeeming one of the Marriot hotel packages that we redeemed for 7 nights and the process was seamless. The check-in process was handled by Thomas and he was great. He thanked me for my Bonvoy loyalty and checked us in quickly. I was dealing with American Express fraud over the phone, checking into 2 rooms, redeeming a 7-night certificate and upgrading for club access and through all of that, Thomas was wonderful. He's a great person to put at the front desk to greet customers because he took care of everything so my wife and I could relax. Also, Johanna was great every time I came up to the desk for a request, whether is was to borrow umbrellas, ask for more keys, or a recommendation on where to buy chocolates for gifts. Johanna and Thomas made us feel like we were at a Ritz Carlton. The rooms were very clean. You can tell they were recently renovated. The bathrooms were also very clean and updated. The hotel has a triangular shape so most of the rooms have a great view of the Grand Arche, which is beautiful. The beds have medium-grade firmness which my wife and I both liked. Also, awesome down pillows. A side note to management, I want to give our cleaning lady some praise but I didn't get her name. I walked in on her cleaning our bathroom and noticed she was scrubbing the tub like it was her own home. She greeted me with a smile while I quickly ran in to grab my bag. I appreciated her thorough cleaning regimen because of how picky my wife is with hotel bathrooms. If you can find out who cleaned our room on the morning of May 8th, please tell her thank you again. The highlight of our stay was the food and service in the club lounge. The lounge is on level B of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious every morning. There's a variety of hot and cold items and a great spread. There's also an afternoon to evening service with hot/cold food items that were delicious (chicken, fish, and desserts). There's also a great selection of wines and beer. Most importantly I want to thank the staff in the lounge. Meron was there every evening and she was wonderful. She anticipated our every need. She would engage us in conversation and ask us about our stay. On several occasion, she would go back to the kitchen and bring out more food and proactively offer us other food items. She was absolutely wonderful. One night, we had our 8 year old neice with us, and Meron noticed she liked the macaroons and went upstairs to the kitchen to bring us some more even though they were wrapping up the food service. We felt like we were dining in a full-service restaurant every night. Thank you, Meron! In the mornings we were serviced by Kumar and Latifa. Kumar was greeting us every morning with a smile and made himself available to all of our requests. Latifa and Kumar went above and beyond one morning, on the last day of my wife's parents and neice. They prepared a special table for us and decorated it with coloring sheets, coloring pencils, a pastry basket and some baloons for our neice. She abslutely loved it. Latifa came over to check in on us multiple times and to ask our neice if she could get her more nutella, which Latifa noticed she loved. Meron and Latifa, thank you very much for making the trip special.
We stayed here on our first day in Paris before we headed out to Strasbourg. We chose this hotel because I’m lifetime Platinum Elite Member, I’ve stayed here before with a great experience and it’s proximity to the La Defense train station / Grand Arch. Overall this is an outstanding property. It has an incredible club lounge with great food and a very accommodating and friendly staff. I mentioned to someone that it was my wife’s 50th birthday and upon arrival we found out we had been upgraded to a full suite. The room(s) (there were several) was amazing. It was a very nice treat and it was greatly appreciated. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. The rain shower head was probably the best I’ve experienced anywhere. The room and the hotel in general are newly renovated and immaculately clean and polished. The proximity to the La Defense train station is very convenient. You literally walk out the train station and past the side of the Grand Arch and it’s just on the other side. If you do it right there are no steps from the station to the hotel if you’re dragging luggage. La Defense is at the end of the #1 Metro line which runs the length of the Champs Elysees down past the Louve and to Chatelet / Les Halles (metro / RER station) where you can get a direct RER to Charles de Gauell airport. It’s a simple connection and it saves on a taxi cost. Keep in mind La Defense is in the business district so if you’re looking for a charming, eclectic, old and tiny room or property for a high price this place is not for you. Back to this hotel - beautiful place, impeccable staff, good location, great restaurant on premise, super clean and modern - great place to stay. You can’t go wrong staying here. Highly recommended and I’ll likely stay here again.
Stayed here for one night and was upgraded to a club room with a nice view on the grande arche. Check-in was very friendly, breakfast was decent and overall enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very close to the metro station which made it easy to go and explore the beautiful Paris landmarks.
The hotel was immaculate. Meron, the club lounge attendant, was so kind, warm, and provided exceptional service. The food was wonderful and Meron made it special. Will stay here again! Bravo keep doing what you do!
I often stay at the Renaissance at La Defense when I come to Paris for work. The club lounge here is one of the best I’ve visited. Everyday around 6 pm, you can expect a spread of appetizers and desserts that are beautiful and delicious. Meron (club lounge staff member) is super friendly and her customer service skills make me feel at home and special. At the end of the work day, the whole group of us looks forward to joining again in the club lounge and get greeted with Meron’s friendly smile and excellent services . Thank you!!!
We started our trip in France at this hotel. The rooms were clean, service was great and the breakfast was very good. We ate a quick lunch at the restaurant bar and were helped by Vincent R! He knew we were in a hurry, so he made sure our food came quickly. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I definitely recommend this hotel.
