We came here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. The bed was two twin mattresses pushed together to make a queen, and it would separate during the night. Not close to landmarks nor the Big Bus tour (had to walk 30 minuets to the bus tour). The shower head was broken, and because there was no door water spread to the bathroom floor. Also, the attached picture was our “garden view”. On a positive note the people who worked there were pretty nice and the restaurants around the hotel were delicious.
I booked the Moulin Plaza for a trip to Paris with my Mum. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very rude female receptionist. She would let us check in ten minutes before check in time so we sat and waited. When we got to our room I was disappointed by the size, it was far smaller than I had expected it also had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke when it was meant to be a none smoking room. The walls were so thin we could hear the people in the rooms next door and above which woke us up several times in the night. Also, we had to leave our key card in reception every time we went our which we had never heard of before. Overall our stay was very average and slightly disappointing. I wouldn't stay here again.
when visiting Paris with friends, we stayed at Moulin Plaza Hotel and I am happy to say that we were very satisfied with the hotel services. Everything was clean, rich breakfast, friendly staff, perfect location. Certainly, we will be staying at this hotel during our next visit in Paris.
We stayed here from 5-9th feb, our flight getting to Paris was delayed and we would be arriving late, we rang them up to notify them of this and they said they are open24/7 at reception and that it would be no issue. The hotel is easy to find it is next to the metro stop called Blanche. On check in the reception staff were English speaking, we had to pay the city tax on arrival which was roughly 13euros for 4 nights. We went to our room, the lift is very small and slow and only allow 2 people at a time otherwise it’s the spiral stair case. Our room was 303 which had a street view of the moulin rouge itself which was really pretty at night when it was lit up. Our room was extremely close to 301 and 302, room 304 was on its own. It was noisy at night due to outside and also being so close to a joining rooms. The room had a double bed, small desk 2 mirrors and shelving and a rail for a wardrobe. The room was well equipped with plugs. Shower was lovely it had a large shower head and smaller moveable one, the shower didn’t have a door which wasn’t ideal as water soaked the whole floor. New towels and toilet rolls provided each day. Only down fall was there was no toiletries or coffee making facilities. Although you did get free water and mints on arrival. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom which does over heat and cuts out. We requested an iron and ironing board from reception which was no problem. Everyday when we left we had to leave our key at reception which we found odd, the rooms don’t have any signs on them such as do not disturb etc. The location of the hotel is ideal with being able to access many attractions from Blanche a single journey costs €1.90. The buffalo grill and rouge bis at the top are both lovely and reasonable restaurants. There is a great Irish bar over the road which does happy hour 4-9 where alcoholic drinks are €5 which is a bonus as most drinks are 8-10euros depending on what you order. Did also find the bedding quite itchy and thin as it’s a bed sheet and blanket there was an air con facility available which we had on heat and there is luggage storage available to use too. Check out is 12 which is a bonus as some places are 10/11. Would recommend the hotel. The WiFi is good signal in the rooms, the tv doesn’t have any English channels not that we were there to watch tv. It also in walking distance to the Sacre coeur and van goghs house if that’s of any interest.
Just back from staying in Moulin Plaza Hotel. Lovely place for the price you pay. Extremely good location with easy access to the Metro. Room was clean with a great shower. Extremely easy to get from Airports also. Would recommend because of the location and price.
Very easy to find the hotel from the nearby Blanche metro station, small but comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms with TV, ours was a 4th floor balcony room with view of the nearby Moulin Rouge, street noise wasn't an issue for us at all, lots of cafes, bars, creperies and restaurants nearby, also a few souvenir shops which sold identical items to those nearer to touristic landmarks at a generally lower cost ie. 4 items for 10 euro instead of 3 items at other stores. The Pigalle area has a reputation as being seedy due to the number of adult stores and clubs, but please don't let this put you off choosing Moulin Plaza as a base for your trip, out and about in the area, we walked up the opposite street to the PAUL bakery (Best orange juice I've ever had) and we also walked to place de Clichy and we found little likely to offend, I believe that beyond the blanche metro there is a higher concentration of adult stores, but we didn't venture that way during our short visit. To conclude, I'd say that this is a competitively priced Hotel with helpful, friendly staff, 24 hour reception, good WiFi connection, an excellent buffet style breakfast (extra charge), this was our first visit to France and Paris and we were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met, given it's location and excellent transport links, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or indeed to return as a customer myself.
I stayed here in January 2018 for one night. Easy to get to and staff were friendly. I did find it a bit noisy from other guests. Having been here in the off season it was very inexpensive. It was a quick 15 minute walk to Gare du Nord to take a train to the airport. There is a subway entrance about a minute from the hotel that will also take you to Gare du Nord with one transfer but the walk was nice.
I booked the Moulin Plaza Hotel for an (initially!) two night stay in Paris. I had been travelling previously and my friend had been living in Paris for an extended period of time and had literally just moved out of her apartment. On arrival to the hotel, the receptionist, seeing the amount of luggage we possessed between the two of us, upgraded our room without skipping a beat! We found all the reception staff to be helpful and polite, particularly when we decided to extend our stay by a further two nights, keeping us in our upgraded room. Accommodation itself was comfortable and clean with enough room to negotiate around the luggage! Breakfast was a great start to the day with the only negative being the slow WiFi speed. This hotel is very conveniently located both to Montmartre and the Metro. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
I stayed there for 4 nights: room and bathroom was small and simple but it was clean and the staff was always friendly. The hotel was only half a block from the metro stop (Blanche on line 2) and I actually found this very convenient. The noise from the "nightlife" outside might have been a problem... I think it's fine if your expectations aren't too high.
I think the hotel goes on to earn more points than the room rates I booked for. I think I got the promotion pop up from google after browsing for hotels in Paris. The price was so competitive I did not spend much time researching on the neighbourhood. Overall I have no complaints except the lift but guess that cannot be changed. The staffs were helpful and the location was so close to Gare Du Nord. It’s the locality that had set me off. Finally if you are traveling single or with friends this is a good bargain, not with family.
