The location was perfect. It was five minutes from gare du nord and the metro station. For those who'd take RER B for the airport, this hotel was a good choice. Room was tidy, staff welcoming. The only con was for the price. But it was Paris, and it was the train station.
From start to finish our stay was lovely! The people were lovely and helped us uncork a bottle of wine! The room was clean, fresh bed and towels everyday, all new and modern, the room itself was very big and the shower was amazing! The room even has air conditioning which after a stuffy tiring day roaming around Paris is a god send! We didn't have breakfast as were an on the go kind of people but it looked so nice when we'd walk past! In terms of location, everyone moaning about it being in a dodgy area must be snoots because it's not! Location is brilliant and so close to the gare de l'est. not once did we feel unsafe!
Would be 5 star but the breakfast room was tiny and people were having to queue and wait to get in there for breakfast. The area where the hotel is situated wasn't the best in Paris but very near the Gare Du Nord station. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were very clean and nice and if looking for a cheaper hotel in Paris as a base to get out and about, we would recommend.
We went to París to show our granddaughter Paris. Midnight Hotel suited us very well. It is so close to the Gare d'Est and Gare d'Nord that it is ideal for coming in from the airport and seeing all the major sights in Paris. The staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast is served in a cramped space. It was OK but the milk was sour and for two days they had no apple juice. Overall it was a pleasent stay and we would stay again at this hotel.
Visited in May 2017 - very small room. Staff were not bad. Location leaves a little to be desired.. Homeless right outside the hotel. Area seems a bit shady. Bit of a walk into town, defo would require public transport or uber. Another frustrating thing, I paid for flowers on the bed. Got them, we packed them up and put them with our stuff (my other half loves Paris and wanted to do a scrap book of our trip), but the cleaner decided to bin these... Left the empty juice bottle that was next to the bin though.. Bit frustrating. You also do not take the key out with you - it needs to be kept at reception.
The hotel was pleasant, staff very helpful and kind. Room well decorated, comfortable and clean. Very good location, Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est are nearby, where you can take also a hop-on hop-off buses. Only place for breakfast was too small, difficult to circulate, sometimes you should wait for a free place.
The room was very modern and comfortable, bed was very large. Staff were helpful and stored our luggage for us. Good location very close to Gare du Nord, quieter at night than we thought it would be .
Paris is great, the hotel was clean and newly renovated, front desk friendly, good public transit but I have to rate it poor for the following reasons... 1. The street that the hotel is on is scary - with not a few staggering drunks and homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk a few feet from hotel entrance - one needs to walk by them to get into the hotel. Looks like they live there permanently with mattresses, etc. Not the romantic Paris we were looking for. One night a fight broke out and a bottle was thrown and smashed near my partner's feet. She was terrified. 2. Falsely/Misleadingly advertised on Booking.com as in the 6th Arrondissement, when it is in the 11th. (See attached screenshot showing 6th in big letters as Results of a search for 6th, but 11th in small blue letters on blue background). The hotel refused to make it right when I requested to cancel. 3. Misleadingly advertised free cancellation with a big green button (See 2nd attached screenshot) - again, the hotel refused to make it right. 4. Neither Booking.com nor the hotel allowed to cancel the reservation, even though it was only within hours after I saw the errors. 5. No hot water in room for the last 24 hours of our stay - management has yet to return calls or emails with request for refund for last day (the clerk noted the problem on the bill but could not settle the issue - no manager on site). 6. Room is smaller than it looks in the photos. Just enough to walk around the bed. I bumped into the wall TV a couple of times because it was narrow. This hotel left us with a very unsettling feeling, staining the memory of an otherwise pleasant trip.
My sister and I stayed in this hotel in a twin room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom modern but the stairs are difficult to negotiate with bags and elevator is pretty much for one person and one bag. The hotel is very small and easy to walk right past but it's located close to 2 major train/ metro stations which is handy. The neighborhood is a little scary too but we never felt threatened. Overall nice!
We chose this hotel for its location near the translation. The rooms are very small but clean and the bathroom is nice. The staff is not friendly nor helpful or flexible (for instance checkout at 11:00)
