I stayed here for one night. The room was excellent. It had more space compared to other French hotels I had stayed at. Everything was very clean, and the location is close to many main Paris attractions. Also the woman at the reception, Samantha, was very helpful and kind. She speaks excellent English and she also tolerated my French. I would certainly stay here again.
We stayed 3 nights for our first trip to Paris. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They spoke English well. We stayed on the top floor. The room was nice with more space than we expected. The bathroom was very large with a shower and a tub. The location was nice with lots of shopping around. Easy to get to metro and tourist attractions. Breakfast was simple, not huge like American breakfasts. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.
I have stayed here before and it is a pleasant hotel to stay. Not expensive and a little tired, but still very pleasant, Reception staff were helpful and good (esp Maelle). We were upgraded to a suite as we were there for 4 nights but the room had an unpleasant odour so we moved to a smaller room (reception were good about it and sympathetic). Breakfasts were good, simple continental breakfasts with nice helpful staff. Location is great as it is close to the Metro, to attractions, shopping and sightseeing. I would stay again. Our son was also staying and he had no problems with the hotel or its amenities.
I stayed in this hotel one night for work and was really impressed. I was welcomed by Maëlle, a really helpful girl at reception who took the time to explain what to do. The hotel is very well located with its central position and Opera is a great place to stay. A big thank you to the cleaning service! Absolutely a place I will recommend!
The location of this hotel is ok. The room has very low ceilings, a bit claustrofobic. Toilet seat was worn out, very disgusting. And then there's the receptionist. At the check in she said we would have a nice view, but when we got in the room we could only see an inside wall. The only nearby parking available is about 5 minutes away and costs 42 euros per day. When we asked this recepionist the obviois question if there is a closer, less expensive parking available, she started laughing in our face. Not cool.
Located near the Opera and Galeries Lafyette so easy to find. Front desk staff was helpful but somewhat limited English. Breakfast was available for an uncharge and for us worth doing because most cafes nearby don't open till a little later. Room was comfortable, city sized so not spacious, there was a hot pot but not a coffee pot. A nice feature was the bottle of water each day, one of those little things. Bathroom was a little tight but nice amenities.
This is a come trip to Paris after 20 years. We decided to go when we were having a 7-day stay in London. Eurostar is very convenient and it's an excellent idea to stop by Paris when we are in London. Hotel Opera d'Antin is at an excellent location just right next to Lafayette, less than 2 mins walk. Location of hotel makes everywhere easy. Within 20 mins ride by underground train to Lourve, walking distance to shopping streets, just great! Hotel is neat and tidy and we got a room at top floor, nice and spacious (maybe we are lucky enough to get upgraded). Bathroom is great with both shower and bath & bright, good for girls to dress up and make up before leaving the door. Concierge staff are kind and friendly, English level is good that out of our expectations. Welcome drinks just chill you up after your travel to hotel. The friendliness of people in Paris just enlightened our trip. We definitely come back to this hotel.
I had picked this hotel for it's excellent location and good reviews. I unfortunately can only agree with the fact that it is seriously well located but I really don't understand why it is getting good reviews. The hotel is quite small and in desperate need of renovation... and in need of some loving touches. It does have a beautiful old bar area in the lobby but that sums up the nice touches. Everything is so old, dusty and the air super stuffy to the point of stifling. The room was fairly spacious but the beds were very hard and the pillows quite terrible. The Christmas tree was still up in the lobby and it was the later half of January (19th) and it seemed to be a symbol of how this place is run.
When we arrived we got a free upgrade to the suite on the 6th floor. The rooms is very cute, under the roof. The elevator goes up to 5th floor and then there is a little staircase up to the suite which is the only room on the 6th floor. The room is big (for Paris) and has a double bed and a single bed and a desk and two chairs. The bathroom is huge (with bathtub, shower, separate toilet, two sinks and its own window). The hotel is built against the back wall of Galeries Lafayette. When you walk out the door, it is about 50 meters to the entrance of Galeries Lafayette and about 200 meters to the entrance of Printemps. There are several good cafes and restaurants right next to the hotel. The room is very quiet at night. The personell at the reception is extraordinarily helpful and nice. When we came back from shopping on the last day with too many bags for the plane, the very helpfull gentelman at the reception gave us a huge bag to fit all out stuff in. Highly recommended!
It is literally just behind Gallery Lafayette. If you are about affordable, location and easy access to food and transportation to famous tourist sites, then this is your hotel. We took taxi going to sites coz we didn't want to deal with crowds on trains. Taxis are less than EU10 to different tourist spots. If you are a walker and the weather is fine, you can walk to most tourist spots. From CDG airport, it is only EU10 one way and just non stop bus ride to Opera. From the bus stop it is only 6 minutes walk. Just take note this is not your fancy hotel that has coffee maker, big rooms and amenities of 4 or 5 star hotels. But Constance is the best among all the front staff. The other two should not even be hired in front office. No personality at all but we only encounter them on our way in and out so no big deal. As long as the bed is okay, there is hot water, there is a small elevator that we do not have to drag our bags in the stairs and there are couple of cafes and restaurants around, I am good! You don't need to get any breakfast deal from the hotel. There are couple of coffee shops that you can get pastries, baguettes and there are even some chinese and other retaurants around. The alley way going to the hotel is very safe because it is well lit. I am definitely recommending this hotel if you do not mind some minor flaws and not to fancy accommodation.
