Myself and my partner booked 4 nights in the hotel in April. From the minute we arrived to the time we checked out the staff were none else than excellent! The room was good always left clean and attended to by accommadation staff! It's in an excellent location! Merci beaucoup! We'll be back
I have spent 5 days in this hotel. The stuff is lovely and the atmosphere is good. The area is nice. But, the room is very small. It contains all the accesories (coffe, towels, slippers, safe) all what you need and not need. But it is small room, and the feeling is like a equiped dunegeon. For this price you can find something better.
We loved our stay here and enjoyed our view from the balcony. The rooms are small but clean. We really liked the location it was on a quiet street. It still close to the metro. I would definitely recommend it.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April for a long weekend seeing the sights of Paris with my parents. This hotel is in a good location, close to restaurants and the metro station. The rooms were small (as people have said) but we hardly spent any time in them as we were out and about every day! Bed was comfortable and room kept nice and clean. I really enjoyed the macaroons on arrival! :-) The Reception staff were really friendly and always on hand if you needed any advice on how to get to places. We only ate breakfast in the hotel once as this was not included in the price, it was a good breakfast with enough choice. We got breakfast one day from the local patisserie down the road, the pastries were delicious! All in all a good hotel at a reasonable price that I would recommend to friends and family.
PROS The location of the hotel was the only bright spot in our stay. The lady manning the reception during the mornings was very professional and very friendly. Also the second lady we met during our stay whose name eludes me was quite friendly too. CONS We checked in to Westside on the 6th evening. The lady who checked us in was professional and courteous. The lady in the morning every day was also very professional and courteous. But there was a gentleman we dealt with in the evening every time who was eternally grumpy and seemed to react like we were an interruption to what he was doing. The Hotel rooms were very small for a 4 star hotel and not what we expected. The breakfast was one table with bread and croissants and few other knick knacks. You would definitely expect more from a 4 Star hotel. On our second day we ordered room service and I ordered Lentil Soup, Lebanese Platter and French Fries. We waited for more than 90 minutes and after multiple follow ups, I got Lentil Soup, a plate of cheese and no French fries. I did not have dinner that night. Apparently this hotel does not have " Room Service" in house. They just order from a nearby restaurant and so there is a lot lost in translation. My Sister's family who were staying with us could not get water delivered either. Overall it was a very disappointing stay especially after travelling through Italy, Switzerland and getting some amazing service from similar sized and similar category hotels. As mentioned, the plus points were the location and the friendly lady receptionists who were professional and courteous. The remaining staff were quite unfriendly and we felt quite unwelcome (including the ladies at the breakfast who were very curt). I provide this feedback as a constructive feedback so the hotel can view the service from the perspective of the recipient of such services and look at ways to enhance the same.
I stayed here with my boyfriend in March 2017 for 3 nights and we were highly impressed. The location was fabulous, approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the Arc De Triomphe. The area felt very safe and there were loads of amenities near by. Very accessible by bus, metro and taxi. Took around 30/40 minutes to get to the hotel by metro from the Gard du Nord. The room was a lot bigger than i had expected there was a spacious bathroom with a bath and shower, large double bed, small table, 2 chairs, free wifi with good connection, bath robes, slippers and tea/coffee making facilities. The attention to detail was impeccable, we even had welcome macaroons on arrival in our room. We loved the spa facilities. There is a small pool and a sauna with sofa loungers. We had the spa to ourselves so we took down a bottle of champagne and sipped it by the pool! Pure bliss! We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it was too expensive. However there is a local patisserie around the corner from the hotel, where we had freshly baked croissants and baguettes every morning for €1/€2 each! They were divine! The staff were very helpful including providing us with umbrellas when it rained. If you are looking for a good value hotel in a good location this hotel is perfect for you. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family and would definitely stay here again!
I had to pay the breakfast charge that was about 40Euro before checking out. However, the lady from the reception desk wanted to charge me 300Euro and she gave me an attitude that she thought I didn't speak English before I was even going to ask her any question. I was confused and told her that I had paid everything through Hotel.com and I asked her what 300Euro was coming from. She told me it was "government tax" and did not bother explaining anything further. She went on and had my credit card wiped and made me sign the bill. This is my first time to France and I had a flight to catch so I did not want to start a fight with her that might ruin my day and I did really act like a gentleman. Fortunately, at the end, she somehow realized she made a mistake by herself and returned my money. However, this is a very unpleasant experience.
We stayed here for 3 nights late January and were highly impressed. We were extremely satisfied at the staff service as we were relocated as soon as construction work next door caused noise in our room. Attention to detail by staff was great e.g. offering umbrellas when it rained, gave us a map as it was our first time in Paris. Swimming pool and sauna were an added bonus. Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Location was ideal- 10 minute walk to arc de triomphe, safe area, close to many amenities (approx 2 min walk from supermarket). Could not recommend this hotel enough.
Visited from 23/01/2017 to 26/01/2017. Had an enjoyable stay. Didn't spend much time in the hotel itself as there is so much to explore in Paris. The room was made up everyday with fresh towels etc. Fulfilled all requirements and expectations but nothing was out of the ordinary, which can be expected on a budget. The pool and sauna facilities are nice after a long day on your feet. The location is ideal for tourists. Would recommend to travellers on a budget.
We stayed in room 206, small but with everything you needed. Metro station 10 minute walk away. Arc de triomphe, about 15 minutes, breakfast was plentiful but charged at 14 euros pp. Lots of nice shops within a short walk from hotel
