Hôtel Mercure Paris Tour Eiffel Pont Mirabeau4.0 out of 5.0

This hotel is only small and we felt very looked after from the moment we arrived. We stayed for 5 nights and the room was a good size, clean, modern and overall very nice. The location isn't too bad - we usually walked down to the Eiffel tower (around 20/25 minutes at our pace) and got the open top bus from there however we did also use the train/tube service which was very cheap and efficient (would definitely recommend). The only downside of this hotel was when it came to checking out - when we arrived the lady who checked us in told us we had breakfast included (we were please because we didn't realise this before) so everyday we would enjoy the continental breakfast. However upon checkout we were faced with a breakfast bill of almost 200 Euros!! Of course we explained that we had been led to believe this was included and after about 30 minutes back and forward we agreed to pay half the bill - they were very apologetic for the lady who suggested it was free (conveniently it was her day off) however not a great end to our stay. Would stay here again just make sure you double check what is and isn't included!
I visited this hotel in august staying for 3 nights for my birthday twice we had someone come into our room as they was given a key which i was appalled by. I then complained which staff said dont worry we will sort breakfast for you as we was checking out however we has that included which i didnt know about however i have aent numerous emails complaining and nobody has got back to me i have just been ignored i would not go back to this hotel again
The hotel was nearly perfect: looks like it has been recently renovated, modernly designed, relatively large rooms, clean, good French breakfast, extremely helpful staff. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, near public transit stations. There are many good restaurants and stores in the vicinity.
We stayed here for our 5th visit for three nights at the end of September, travelling as a couple. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have only paid for a Privilege room once. On all other occasions we have stayed in a standard room and this has been fine until this visit. On this occasion we were given a hot and stuffy room on the fourth floor overlooking other people’s rooms rather than looking out at river – we’ve even had a balcony before now. In this room, you couldn’t exit the bed on one side due to a wall / pillar being in the way. The air conditioning was inadequate and even with the windows open you couldn’t cool down. Only one day was hot so expected the room to warm that day – the rest of the time the temperature was what I would call normal and the room was still stuffy. No natural light to be had either. However the room was clean and the bed comfortable as it always is at this hotel. The hotel was fully booked so not much could be done. Maybe there needs to be a new pricing level introduced as this was a less than standard room. I think we may stay here again in April and book Privilege or maybe time to try somewhere new. We never have the breakfast here as it looks very overpriced for what it is but the Regalia café (a 30 second walk away) does a great breakfast for €7. We’ve been big fans of this hotel down to its loyalty scheme, location, pricing and staff but over £400 for three nights in what felt like a miserable cell was not good enough on this occasion. I will say that they have the friendliest staff and the check in and check out very efficient.
Stayed in the hotel for four nights, in one of the "upgraded" rooms. The room was perfect for a couple, and included an espresso machine and cold beverages in the fridge (free of additional charge). Thr double bed was VERY comfortable. The hotel is rather small, but very well-kept. The interior design is modern. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is typical to Parisian hotels, and includes freshly-baked bread and pastries, cheeses, yogurt, etc. - simple but tasty. As for location: the hotel is on Avenue Emile Zola and not in central Paris. However, it is very close (3 mins. walk) from an overground train station (Javel), which will take you to the Eiffell tower within minutes. Also, since the hotel is within a residential area, most restaurants nearby cater the local populace and are in no way tourist-traps. There are two supermarkets nearby (5-10 mins. walk) as well as a big shopping mall.
Stayed with 8 friends for a weekend at the beginning of October for the Chantilly race weekend. Room was slightly bigger than typical Parisian standards but definitely not up to four star standards. The resturant area was tiny and would have struggled to contain the eight of us so instead we used the excellent cafe at the end of the road. Good location with a metro station a few metres from the hotel and an RER train station a few metres more. The area was generally quiet and only about a 15-20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower.
I recently returned from a long weekend in August 2017. The hotel is about 20mins in a taxi from the Eurostar train station, a nice journey which takes you past the eiffel tower for the first time! The hotel is in a great location, about 15min walk from the Eiffel Tower but only 5minutes from a fantastic square with lots of lovely bars and restaurants. The front desk staff are EXCELLENT! I contacted Sophie before staying to let her know it was my birthday whilst staying at the hotel, i got a lovely room and even had a balcony with a great view! The staff at reception couldn't have been anymore helpful, English was great and really lovely to talk to. The only thing i would say needs updating is the air conditioning, That particular weekend was over 30 degrees and unfortunatley the air con wasn't great. even when i turned it down to just 5degrees. Would certainly stay again and again! Danielle
We stayed at this hotel in 2015 and came back. It is within 20 minutes from the Eiffel Tower and across the street from the Metro. It is also near the river and train to Versailles. Small but good rooms and service with usual breakfast offerings.
Decent hotel, excellent front desk staff - very helpful. Rooms are small but for European standards they are OK. Breakfast has a very limited selection for the steep €17 per person! As for the location, it's on a very quiet street. Abt 15-20 mins walk to Eiffel. Closest Metro stop is a block away from the hotel. It's easy to get to anywhere using the metro. Versailles palace is abt 35 mins away, direct train, no change of train which was very convenient. There are only a few food options around this hotel and it's not in the most happening areas of Paris. But overall for the price, a pretty good place to stay.
The rooms are so tiny that you have to hold your breath in order to fit into the shower. That is not an exaggeration. I really liked the customer service here. The people were truly friendly, and the breakfast was okay, however, I would not say that I would come back again.
