This boutique hotel is awesome. Tucked into a side street not too far from the Eiffel Tower, it's rooms are a bit on the smallish side, but really lovely, nicely decorated, and clean. The staff is very friendly and their English is impressive. There is a bar, and room service (no idea how the room service or food from there is as we didn't use it), and there is a supermarket 2 doors down for snacks, including beer & some alcohol. Nice! The only thing weird is that there are no towel racks in the bathroom. Hairdryer and safe in room, iron & ironing board on request. Really nice continental breakfast. If we ever get back to Paris (which we haven't planned on but who knows) we will definitely stay here again. Can't emphasize how much we like this hotel !! Many thanks to the management and staff for making our 4 nights here so special.
This trip was a gift from our children to celebrate my 70th birthday. Our daughter spent a lot of time finding a hotel where she knew we would be happy and comfortable. She choose well - down a quiet street and great location. Close to public transport and walking distance to a lot of the sights. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke English. We had a lovely room on the 5th floor and the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and quality produce. We would certainly recommend the Garden Elysee and we would be happy to return there on any future visits to Paris.
I only stayed here for one night but from my short stay I felt it was a good hotel. I slept well, the rooms were clean and well looked after. It had a good little mini-bar/snack area and the room had all amenities, a kettle etc. The staff were very helpful and noticed my poor French immediately and offered to speak English, which I was very relieved about! On the day I left, we had checked out in the morning but came back later to ask them to call a cab which they didn't mind doing at all. They were really good hosts. The breakfast was a good spread with a selections from boiled eggs to yoghurt and cereal, croissants, pastries and cheese/meat selections. It's in a great location 5 minutes to the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower, so almost slap bang in the centre of the city.
When we arrived, they was late to prepare and deliver our room. But they kindly offer different drinks for the whole family while waiting in the lobby. Meanwhile at the end when checked out, they didn't take the tourist tax because of their delay! Breakfast was average (not very good but OK) and the room was good as a triple. Location is very good, near Trocadero Gardens,Tour Eiffel & Arc DE Triumphe.
My time at the Garden Elysee was shaping up to be excellent until two events coincided. I contracted some type of respiratory infection and the hotel was performing very noxious maintenance. The combination of the two made sleeping in my room impossible. I contacted the front desk, they found me a room on another floor not as affected by the fumes. The room was not completely free of fumes (they permeated the entire hotel) but I was able to get some sleep that evening with the windows open and the heater fan running constantly. I would love to stay here again, but I would be certain the renovations are completed. My original room facing the garden was much quieter than the temporary room I had facing the street.
My room faced a beautiful courtyard with large windows that open. It was the quietest hotel room I've ever had in a large European city. Small but well laid out room with very comfortable bed. The breakfast is included and offers a very wide variety and was probably the highlight of my stay. Very nice little gym onsite. Excellent staff and service.
I usually stay at another hotel close to this one, but it was full so i had to come here. I have to say the rooms, the breakfast, the service was all great. They did not have their gym available. I was very dissapointed to find the gym closed in winter for renovation. They could have done it in the summer.
I'm travelling to Paris regularly and I'm always staying in this hotel. It's quite (it doesn't overlook directly the street), great breakfast buffet and lovely personnel, Well placed in the city, close to Trocadero (Eiffel tower), Arc du Triomphe and Champs Elysees.
Spent a week in this quaint hotel over New Years. Great room, fantastic breakfast, quiet side street location-perfect for sightseeing, easy access to metro and tour bus stops within minutes. Staff was outstanding; very helpful. Highly recommend it.
This hotel lived up to my expectations. A lot of people complain about room size but in my opinion they are decent compared in general to hotel rooms in paris. The rooms have been renovated and are very modern. It has a nice garden area in the back of the lobby. It has an amazing location close to major sites (walking distance to eiffel tower and arc de triomph) and a few steps from the metro. I didn't give it 5 stars because during our stay there was a garbage truck that woke me up each night and there was work being done close to the hotel which could be bothersome at times, nothing too bad. All in all great stay.
