Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel is clean and bed is comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to Eiffel Tower. Stayed up till 10pm watching Eiffel Tower and felt safe walking back to the hotel. Extra charge for WiFi, breakfast.
My adult daughter and I were quite comfortable and pleased with our rooms. We stayed on the fourth floor with Great views of the Eiffel Tower (looking to the right). This hotel is clean and service is great. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. So glad we chose this location. The Ecole Militaire Metro is right around the corner, next to a Nice grocery store. There are many good restaurants in the area. Rue Cler is just past the metro.
I had a very bad experience in this hotel. First of all the wifi cost 15€ for 3 days. This is ridicoulus on 2019. When i arrive the guy at the reception was talking with his private telephone, i had to wait the end of his private call before to check in. The room was too small and smell of smoke. Big surprise the day after, my body was all covered by bites of bedbugs!! Terrible experience i left the hotel immedietely. I've complained but the guy at the reception with a very arrogant attitude laughed to me. He said that is not his problem and that he doesn't care if i put a bad review because the hotel is always fully booked. I do not suggest this place, around there are much better hotels and cheaper.
We were leaving for a 2 week trip to Europe, visiting the Basque region of Spain, Paris, and Geneva, Switzerland. I was so excited and I could not wait to see all the famous places I had only heard of and seen in pictures and movies. This was my first time visiting Paris and I didn't know the city at all; but I knew I wanted to find an affordable hotel near the Eiffel Tower and other famous landmarks. So while researching our trip, I looked at a TripAdvisor map and booked our stay at the Derby Eiffel Hotel. It was centrally located to all the sites and reasonably priced. Once we arrived at the airport outside Paris, we took a cab into the city. For the first time ever, I saw the Eiffel Tower far away, in the distance. As we got closer into Paris, the trees and buildings blocked the view of the tower, so I couldn't really tell where we were in relation to the tower and the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a wonderful staff that made us feel at home right away. The hotel was a small boutique hotel with beautifully appointed lobby area; and a nice sized, clean, and somewhat modern-looking room. Our room happened to be on the 3rd floor, facing the street. Once in the room, we set our luggage down. The room was a bit dark, so I decided to draw open the curtains. I couldn't believe it!!!!! To my surprise, I could see the Eiffel Tower from my balcony window. It was only a short walk to the tower and the Seine river. It was one of the most magnificent and memorable moments of my stay in Paris. I was so pleased with our stay at this hotel. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit.
We enjoyed the hotel location as we were close to subway and could walk to Eiffel Tower and the Seine. As accommodation, hotel is adequate. Rooms are small. Buffet breakfast was very good, though, with the usual European offerings of pain au chocolat, croissant, cheeses, eggs. There is a bar as you come in which is pleasant for chatting with people in the evening. We enjoyed a fast food restaurant nearby that offered delicious crepes!
My partner and I went to Paris for a long valentines weekend and were blown away by the city! This hotel is in the perfect location with a Metro Station just a 2 minute walk away! We were lucky enough to get a front window of the Eiffel Tower which made waking up everyday so magical! Room was a really good size with en-suite and was cleaned everyday. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of February. When we checked in the manager at reception was helpful pointing us in the direction of the Big Bus and the Eiffle Tower. The room is basic but that’s all that was needed. The location is great as it’s close to a supermarket, metro and restaurants. The only negative thing was rowdy neighbours but that wasn’t the hotels fault. Would stay here again
Hotel Derby Eiffel very close to the tower, good view from the forward facing bedroom. As is common in Paris centre the hotel is small and quite cramped but clean and quite comfortable. Bedroom small but adequate. Did not try the breakfast and got the impression it was very continental cold one. Staff friendly and spoke good English. Hotel very close to Tower, restaurants and metro so very convenient. Would definitely stay there again.
For a hotel close to the Eiffel Tower, this was all unexpected. Staff not friendly, fridge not stocked, room smelt musty, elevator is extremely small (not for claustrophobic folks), hotel itself had a bad odor. Gave an extra star for the decor.
If you’re anything like me you are finding it hard to find decent accommodation in Paris at a reasonable price. This place meets both of these requirements. It is located about a 15 min walk from the Eiffel Tower and has plenty of great restaurants in the near by streets. The rooms are well presented however our room appeared to have mould in the shower corners and the flood skirting had water damage. Staff were helpful when approached and assisted in arranging hotel transfer.
