We booked this hotel for a city trip: a not expensive (to Paris standards), clean and quite big and comfortable room (we got a suite, without extra charge), in a hotel very close to a metro station and near a (quite expensive) parking. We considered this hotel to be an ideal spot for people who want a comfortable place to stay. Because of the immediate presence of a metro station, it is also an ideal spot to start trips into the centre of Paris. Of course you can find places on a much better location (closer to the city centre) but we didn't find one that offered the same quality at the same price... Conclusion: a good deal. We only took the room, so we don't have an idea about the breakfast. (But who cares about that in Paris?)
I was very pleased with this hotel and would recommend to anyone planning to visit Paris for a few days. The room was bigger than expected and had a separate living room with sofa bed. We had a family of four and was quite spacious. Very clean room, comfortable, and quiet. Air conditioning and wifi worked just fine. The hotel is literally a few steps away from the Metro and takes 15 minutes to ride to Gare du Nord station. There are many good restaurants across the street and one inside the hotel. Front desk was accommodating and courteous. Overall, this is an excellent hotel in a good location.
The hotel rooms are very small and there is a lot of noise in the hotel. Moreover, the breakfast lacks option particularly for vegetarians.. Moreover, there are not even fresh fruits for breakfast..overal, a poor experience
Reception staff not particularly welcoming. Junior suite for four was two single beds pushed together when we requested a double. The other beds were a sofa and chair bed which I presume hadn't been used for some time as a cigarette but fell out! The mattress on these beds were absolutely pathetic. No comfort and you could feel every Spring. Even though we booked for four. There were only towels for two. We did ask for extra and after waiting a while, chased the reception and was rudely dealt with. Do not eat at the adjoining restaurant the Hippopotamus. Expensive deep fried cheap food. Eat elsewhere. Certainly not worth the 130 plus euros. Rubbish.
I stayed at this hotel in May with a small group, I shall be honest as possible, the hotel rooms are very clean. However the rooms are very noisey from the street outside the bed was too hard couldn't sleep all night. They need double glazed windows to prevent the noise from trains and tram and the police cars going past as well as music from cars. It's a total nightmare. The breakfast was disgusting I had cardboard cornflakes with cold milk. There is scrambled eggs and bacon which looked revolting. The croissants were hard. It's a complete let down for French breakfast. I don't know how they charge €150-€250 per night. I wouldn't pay €40 euros it's a basic B&B I've stayed at better motels. The area surrounding isn't nice ether it is close to metro stations but there are no shops of supermarkets.
We payed for a late check out (until 16.00) because i work night shifts. At 10.00 the housekeeping comes in the room, even though we hung out the 'do not disturb' sign, and woke us up. No apology whatsoever. At 11.15 AGAIN the housekeeping comes in the room and woke us up. I went out of bed and asked why she did it, but she didn't speak a word in English. Then finally after being rudely awakened, we managed to sleep again, but at 14.30 the reception called 2 times on our phone to wake us up. Besides that, everyone should know that the rooms are extremely noisy. You can hear EVERY sound in the rooms around you and from outside. The staff doesn't speak English well and the restaurant is also not worth a visit. We will definitely NOT return here.
Hotel was nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was small but very clean with fridge and smart tv. Metro right outside the hotel which will bring you anywhere in paris that you need to go. McDonalds only a 60 second walk from the hotel if you dont like local food. Would stay again if I return to Paris
Right next to the metro station, comfortable room with stable wifi connection. Parking garage with discounts (ask about it right after you drive in). If you like jogging the area is perfect for that. Not in a dangerous neighborhood! Only negative is the attitude of the receptionists.
This hotel doesn t deserve 4 stars. First beds are not comfortable when u book a kingsize bed you have 2 small beds... No coffee machine, no free water. At night many people are shouting in the corridors... Rooms are small. But you have a lot of tv channels which is cool. It s very clean.
Choosing to stay at this hotel for my business trip was the biggest mistake ever. Except for the proximity to the bank's premises that I was to have meetings in, there is no other positive factor. Being a 4star hotel, I was greatly disappointed in the service rendered. On check-in, the reception was cold - and I thought maybe it was the early hours of the Sunday morning since I arrived at 6.45 am having flown more than 14 hours from Singapore. I reminded the reception that my travel agent had put through a request for a late check out on my departure on Wed night with payment of a half day's charge. I was told that he will need to check with his manager and I was to check back with the reception again on Mon. The worst happened today when I checked with the reception again on the late check-out. The manager to,d me that his assistant will assist me. Whilst he stood next to his assistant and communicated to her in French (knowing full well I spoke only English), his assistant told me that they are overbooked by 7 rooms and thus is not unable to extend my check out time. However, if I were to pay the full rack rate then they are able to extend the check out time as requested. Honestly, I think this is taking advantage of the situation here. Instead of arguing further with them, I told them to please do the extension of checkout time. This is indeed a bad experience and I will surely advise other colleagues coming though Paris not to stay at this hotel. And to think that they get quite considerable business from my bank.
