Rooms are nice and cozy, breakfast is not at all good but there is a restaurant and pastry house close by so no issues !!! Got a room the moment I landed so did not have to wait for long ..... lift did not work most of the time so had to walk 4 floor for two days !!!!

Okay so bearing in mind it was a three-star hotel, you can never be entirely sure what you are going to get for your buck but thankfully we were pleasantly surprised with the Opera. It's in a nice quite street off the main road, in the Montmatre area of Paris, with a wonderful boulangerie at either end where you can pick up a cheap breakfast. The hotel itself is clean and functional with all your basic needs and for 3 stars a good space. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful, even with my lousy French, and happy to answer any questions about the area. There are two metro stations within five minutes walk of the hotel which take you cheaply to the bigger tourist sites and the Moulin Rouge is just around the corner, as well as the Basilique Sacre-Coeur and Montmatre Cemetery - the final resting place of greats such as Degas and Berlioz. We booked flights for a family of four and two rooms in mid- August for just over £700 total cost, which seems a good price for the experience. Only off point is the breakfast. We've stayed in European capitals before where the breakfast has been included in the price and therefore 12 Euros a head extra charge seemed a little extreme even for Paris. We went with the option of a croissant and a coffee in Parc Monceau each morning instead where we got to do a bit of people watching before a busy day of sightseeing. Definitely would go back and use the Opera again.

The hotel is just average with quite small rooms. Breakfast was below standards. The stay cost is not cheap by any standards. Only plus is the location. Hotel is 3-5 kms to most of the attractions such as Eiffel, Montmartre, and champs Elysees.

I'm the person who send to this hotel my friends, and made a reservation for them, because they had a problem with Credit card to book a room. My friends were coming for 2 days only, and I want to make their stay at this property memorable. The first day I spoke with Valeria, she was kind and nice, the second day I had a conversation with Saeed (I'm not sure the spelling is correct) he was also nice, he understood all the situation and helped me and I got the answer to my question. But, today 15.05.2017 between 21:00-22:00 I had a really bad conversation with Hotel Receptionist. 1. He didn't introduce himself. 2. "RECEPTIONISTS" when I started to ask, he was not interesting to help me, the problem was again with Credit Card, from my mom's card was blocked ***€ till 26/05, but, the hotel name was America Opera Hotel, which we didn't know. In my mind, I had a Question mark???? Started to check what is going on, and find out the hotel has the right connection with Elysees Opera Hotel. Decided to check with the hotel. 3. When I ring the hotel, and double check the name of the hotel, Receptionists said yes, it's the same hotel (America Opera Hotel and the Elysees Opera Hotel) I was curious why they blocked from my Credit card some amount, because when I booked the room I have mentioned that they will arrive at 20:00 pm and all the bills we will be paid by CASH!!! I have put a comment clearly that all the payment will be made by cash at the hotel. I was thinking some third pard hotel is charging for my card, I should know the reason for what, especially The credit card does not belong to the person who is in the house, (From the hotel side need to check for security reason the Credit Card holder name and the signature) Asked the receptionist to help me sell out the problem, from first word he was very rude!!! 1. When I asked him to reconfirm the name of the hotel? His answer was, " I said Elysees Opera Hotel" okay that is fine, 2. explained the my small problem which he made a BIG one, told him the person who is staying at that hotel, he asked me to spell it his name, spelled third time and he said they don't have a guest under this name, I tried with another name doesn't work, got the same answer. 4. Even gave him an advise to check with in house guest. He was not interesting to help me, okay, said will call him back. After 2 minutes checked with my friends their room number and call him back, gave him the room number, when I question him why he didn't find them first time, he started to speak with me in a rude manner that I didn't spell to him at all, again, I have repeated to him my problem, he started to shout at me and didn't listen to me, when I was trying to stop him, he said "Listen to me, now I'm speaking not you" he doesn't know the telephone etiquette, I'm a pregnant woman which I didn't expect from the hotel side, especially from 4* property. 5. Tried to stop him, he just ignored me and he said he didn't finish and I have to listen to him!!! At last when I asked his name? His answer was Receptionist! Asked him many times the same answer I got. At last he said he is working at the hotel and he is a Receptionist!!! Dear Management team, I believe that you're trying to provide 4* service, but, with staff who is not helpful, arrogant, rude, he can't listen, and he doesn't respect customers! It's seems like you grab him from the market, this kind of Receptionist can't work in 4* property. I was planing to send my friends and family members, but after this situation, I will run away from your hotel and will advise to choose other properties! Thank you very much for taking your time! Hopefully you will not leave this case!

Good location in Paris~ the room itself is too narrow and the breakfast wasnt that cool as expected. It costs 60€ from the airport to the hotel and 45mins away. But anyway, as we will be there for sleep, it is not any compliant to talk about.

when we arrived at the hotel and walked in you could see that it was very clean and tidy, we booked in very quickly no hanging about the room was all ready for our stay, the staff was very helpful as to where the bus links are and as to the metro system and what lines to connect to for our travels around paris. once in our room it was very cosy and comfortable and fresh and clean, our room was made up every day and left spotless, the breakfast was more than adequate plenty to choose from to start the day nothing seemed to much for the staff and catered for all needs (children) families over all I would recommend this hotel for its location as its very central for all restaurants bars all at reasonable prices.

We stayed for 2 nights & were surprised how good the hotel was after reading some of the awful reviews! Reception staff very friendly, rooms larger than we expected (have had smaller ones than these) & a very good breakfast. For a 3* hotel you couldn't expect more. Convenient to 3 metro stations & a good location. Would go to this hotel again.

I really don't understand why the general rating is four stars. There is really nothing positive to say about this hotel. The reception staff is very unfriendly, the rooms tiny, the room service a mess, the breakfast not worth mentioning, not even one single parking spot in front of the hotel to unload the luggage, and very unreliable WiFi - for 140 EUR per night. But the thing that annoyed me the most was that after a long day in Paris I find my room not cleaned. I find it really bizarre that if I tell the reception, they don't believe me and tell me into the face that the room was made. After I convinced the reception that the room was indeed not made, I learned that the guy doesn't have the key to the closet to hand me new towels. To me it seems as though they don't care about their guests, because they know the guests will only stay very few nights, and there will be new guests arriving every day anyways, believing that this kind of negligence will have no consequence for them.

Its a nice little hotel, very well maintained and perfectly functional. Location is perfect for a quick / short stay in Paris and yet if you want to visit the key attractions. Close to couple of bus stops which take you directly to Paris Noord on one side and and Eifel tower on the other (bus 30 i think). Gare St Lazarre is 7 - 8 mins walk away which connects to other cities in France. The rooms are standard... with all the basic amenities you may need....very clean.... but nice. Air conditioning was good in summer heat. Staff was friendly and helpful.... did cater to couple of our requests ...since we were travelling with a baby. Recommended....

Hotel is located near 3 metro stations that are very close. Check-in was fast and easy. Rooms very small and there is no fridge in the rooms. Great staff and reception guys are very helpful and friendly. Late check-out given for free but the down side was that the free wi-fi was not working as good as I expected and because of that I had to buy more and more traffic on 4G. Overall I do recommend it to anyone travelling to Paris.
