We loved our stay at HGH. The rooms are charming and immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and black out curtains. A delicious continental breakfast is delivered to your room every morning, and you can enjoy a quiet drink downstairs in the lounge in the evenings. The hotel is located in a charming part of Paris, within walking distance to countless restaurants, cafes, boulangeries, and providers on Rue Mouffetard. Our room had a spectacular view of the Pantheon, and the spaciousness of the surrounding squares left us feeling that we were returning to a tranquil part of Paris after a hectic day of sightseeing. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and very polite. I would highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to returning in the future.
Lovely hotel with superlative staff and lovely view! We were overwhelmed with how helpful and pleasant the staff was! We were able to order our breakfast in our room with the view overlooking the Pantheon and the woman who came to our door was a real charmer...bon vivant! The hotel staff in general was amazing and even though our room size was small (after all this is Paris) every immaculate and artistic touch was amazing! We hope to come back next year. Merci!!!!!
This is our second time staying at this well located left bank hotel. Staff are always helpful and we were upgraded because we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary to a room with a direct view of the Pantheon. Tip, book in advance for their special pricing.
My husband and I recently stayed at L'hotel des grands hommes and had the best time every. The location of the hotel is great! I was pleasantly surprised that we could take the subway directly from Gare du Nord to the hotel. Only 3 stops and max 15 minutes. The staff is awesome and Mathieu was very nice and always there to answer our questions. The breakfast was a real treat and the rooms are gorgeous! I can't wait to be back! Thank you!
Just loved this hotel, was a great location that was safe centrally located and had lovely views. The proximity to the beautiful Pantheon and the great neighbourhoods of the Latin quarter and St Germaine du pres was perfect. There was lots of transportation nearby but I chose to walk and could easily do so. There is great restaurants, shopping and cafes close by on the Boul San Michel as well as the lovely Rue Moufetard. It's a short jaunt to Notre a Dame and The Seine. The 24 hour desk was extremely important to me as a solo traveler as was the safe located in my room. The balcony was lovely and worth the extra money. The front desk clerk Yvan made my stay better by his great service and friendly disposition. The room was just lovely and the deep tub an extra bonus. The breakfast that was included was perfect and can be delivered to your room at no extra charge. The only thing I would have wished for was extra blankets as Paris was cold. The wifi was faultless and easy to connect to. This lovely hotel gets a 5 out of 5 from me and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
I stayed there from April 9 to 11 as part of my trip to Paris. It is probably the most subtle, understated yet classy, comfortable and exciting place to stay. The view from the room is fabulous. What better than to wake up to the Pantheon. Very French in its architecture and styling with fabric draped walls, a cosy bed, a beautiful living area, a balcony that makes it all the more special. The location is perfect....walkable to all the places you need to see. Paris is indeed about walking around. Restaurants, places of interest, gardens, metros. What makes the hotel special - is it lets you absorb the city at your own pace..It is beautiful, classy and not intrusive. Thank you for a wonderful stay..
Our room was romantic, convenient, and chic. We had a bathtub and a shower. A comfy sofa where to put our stuff. We could hear the birds chirping (room 15). A veritable oasis of tranquility. The breakfast, another feast!
Really really enjoyable stay. Superb location with a number of excellent restaurants close by. We went for a balcony room which added a nice dimension to our stay. Young staff were very helpful. The continental breakfast set up the day well each morning. Really loved the area and the hotel and just came back each evening to relax after full on site seeing. Book your restaurants in advance to ensure a relaxing time.
Booked direct with hotel as it was much cheaper than other booking websites, and from the moment of booking, received a series of very friendly messages from hotel staff, welcoming us, asking me if they could do anything to help before our arrival (and in perfect English). We chose a Pantheon view room as it is such a beautiful monument, the room wasn't huge but it was certainly big enough with a very clean bathroom and separate loo. Breakfast was included, good coffee, very fresh pastries and yummy bread and some fruit. Served in a lovely vaulted room in the basement. The staff were SO friendly though, a real compliment to the hotel. Camille genuinely wanted us to make the most of our short stay. She also booked a fixed rate transfer for us back to Orly which worked very well, the buses or RER can be very temperamental at the time we were travelling back, it was good advice.
Very nice three star hotel in a super (and quiet) location on Place du Panthéon. If you upgrade you can get a room with a large balcony looking out at the Panthéon. Although very close to all the sights of the Latin Quarter, Jardin du Luxembourg, shopping around St Sulpice, nightlife around rue St André des Arts and the RER to both CDG and Orly, and an easy walk to Nôtre Dame, the location of the hotel itself is very peaceful. Continental breakfast was excellent, staff were all very friendly (and speak excellent English) and there is a good lift. A small quibble is that the bathroom was a bit old-fashioned, but it functioned well. Very good choice for a stay in Paris.
