First the positive. This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderfully convenient location with bedrooms which are far larger than average. I've stayed in several other hotels in the Champs Elysees in the past year and this beat them all. One word of advice - check the bill on departure very closely. My check out process was handled by a chap whose mind was obviously elsewhere. He asked me twice if I'd taken anything from the minibar, to which my answer was no. Then he produced an invoice which attempted to change me 27 euros for two bottles of water and an extra tenner for an 'adaptor'. So glad I noticed it as I'd hate to be home and nearly forty euros out of pocket due to absent mindedness of my host. Sadly the experience of arguing I'd taken nothing from the minibar - something I'd already clarified twice - was deeply uncomfortable. I will not return.
The hotel is very convenient for sightseeing and shopping in a quiet location. It has very helpful and polite staff. However, the rooms are very, very small and pokey, the furniture a little tired and the food totally average for the silly prices that are charged. As always breakfast is not worth the high cost for an average buffet. The hotel is 4 star at best and the web site pictures exaggerate its appearance.
The hotel is perfectly located a few minutes away from Avenue Montaigne, les Champs Elysees et 15-20 min from the Eiffel Tower. The staff is very helpful and will provide great recommendations for restaurants that are trendy. Everyone may seem a bit serious but they quickly remember your name and are very eager to help you enjoy your stay. The hotel itself is very classic french in the way it is decorated and laid out. The amenities are nice - the rooms are "bigger" compared to other hotels in Paris but can still feel a bit cramped. The bathrooms are pretty small.
Friendly staff, large room with seating area and balcony. Very clean and comfortable. The best thing is the LOCATION! The Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysee and the best shopping in Paris are all within a few blocks. Nice breakfast available every day.
We booked on-line - no problem. The location in 8th Arrondissement. is just perfect for a short site seeing tour as it is within easy walking distance of Ave Georges 5, Champs Elysee and the Seine. In nearby Rue Marbeuf most of my favourite restaurants are located. The hotel is very well presented with two lifts to all floors. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and housekeeping do a very good job. The Bar and common areas are clean and elegant and the bar staff are very helpful. the concierge is a mater at his profession and managed to get us bookings at a restaurant that when I tried was "fully booked". A full on buffet breakfast is available and is more than acceptable. Just one minor groan - the coffee is not always piping hot when arriving on the table. We stayed for three nights and the staff could not have been more helpful. I will return!
We just came back two days ago from a family trip at this hotel . Since the first day we felt like home . Every employee would call us by our family name and the concierge service was really amazing. They helped us in all our requests and asked the next how it was . We really highly recommend this hotel !
Hôtel de La Tremoille is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of a very nice area of Paris, (8th arr), that did not disappoint. The hotel was fully booked and we were early, so the front desk kept our luggage while we went for a walk on the nearby Champs-Élysées. When our check-in was further delayed by tardy guests, they offered us drinks at the bar while we waited for the room. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful and offered us our choice of rooms – we ended up with one on the 6th floor that was not only spacious, but nicely appointed and updated with a partial Eiffel Tower view! The bed was comfortable and the extra rollaway bed was perfect for our son. The room AC worked very well (it was quite cold) and kept us comfortable at night. We were lucky to have missed the heatwaves, where this feature is a must and was very much appreciated. The bathroom was updated with black tile and marble counter, with beautiful fittings in the basin and tub. It had a nice glass enclosure, but was missing the glass door. The enclosure only covered about 1/3 of the bathtub, which allowed water to splash on the floor each time we showered. As a result, we ended up only using the bottom faucet and not the shower head. Apparently, this is a design feature of European hotels, but which North Americans would find very impractical. We used towels to sop up the water – guests will need to be careful to avoid a slip and fall. Housekeeping was great and kept our room tidy with fresh towels each day. And we went through a lot of towels! There was also an amazing selection of bath gels by Molton Brown (UK), in scents such as ‘Black Peppercorn’ and ‘Relaxing Ylang-Ylang’. I am now a convert and had to pick some up on our way out of the airport duty fee shop. That’s when I realized how expensive they were. We had 6 different full size bottles to choose from in our bathtub! Fabulous! The breakfast buffet was served in the bar restaurant area. It featured a selection of fresh juices, fruit, cold cuts, bread and croissants, with hot food such as scrambled eggs, bacon, crepes and sausages. It was delicious and well worth the extra cost. We really appreciated our fresh brewed coffee and cappuccinos each morning! We were located a short walk from Avenue George V on a quiet street, just minutes from major attractions such as the Eiffel Tower (9 minutes), Champs-Élysées (5 mins) and Arc de triomphe (10 mins). We felt safe walking from these attractions even late at night, and were conveniently located near to Metro stations of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Alma Marceau. Finally, our checkout was smooth, with no issues. After our departure, we messaged the hotel about a hat our son left in the room (we searched but couldn’t find it). Housekeeping found it after we left and they promised to hang on to it, until we can find a way to get it back. We were very impressed with the professional staff at the hotel, from the front desk and concierge to the wait staff and housekeeping. Overall this hotel made our first visit to Paris very enjoyable and we would highly recommend it.
Went for a Easter weekend. Good location. Excellent service. All the staff are very professional and Try there best to give you the best service. 4 star only for the property. Property need to be upgrade. It’s not a five star property.but all the
Was very surprised at the size of our room upon checking in, I have stayed at other hotels in Paris and the rooms were tiny. Our room had a living area and then a separate bedroom and bathroom with two doors opening onto the street. The staff were extremely helpful upon check in and during our stay. The rooms are made up every morning and also turn down service is provided which is a nice touch. I had room service one day, and the food was delicious! Breakfast was included in the rate and had a good selection. Would always stay back here when returning, the location is no more then a five minute walk to the champs elysses, but further enough back in a tranquil street surrounded by bustling restaurants and high end shopping. Gorgeous hotel!!!!
Superb position just off George V and the Champs-Elysées : friendly staff : lovely spacious rooms, clean adequate bathrooms, excellent concierge with great recommendations: breakfast room needs a complete renovation: from decor to food : only reason they never got 5 stars in my review is because of the disappointing breakfasts & poor coffee : otherwise a lovely spot and happy to return.
