Hotel Aiglon4.0 out of 5.0

For some, the 14th Arr is not considered the most touristic portion of Paris but it is a plus for findings lovely hotels in a more quiet surrounding. I found Hotel Aiglon by chance as prices at my usual hotel in Paris were a bit step and I was impressed by the quality of this place. Located next to metro Raspail, lines 4 and 6 will get you anywhere. Port-Royal on the RER B line is also walking distance and from there you can reach both airports and Gare du Nord. Gare Montparnasse is also walking distance from the hotel (buses to ORY and CDG). Same thing for Jardin du Luxembourg Very quiet room even facing the street. Modern, clean. I loved the mosaics in the bathroom- small but well designed. Large closet with plenty of hangers. Nice touches such as coffee, green tea, chocolate cookies, bottled water. I also loved the books left in the room and the library downstairs. Very cool. Breakfast options are either the buffet with eggs for 18 euros or continental for 9 euros. Very reasonable prices considering Paris. The staff was lovely. I think, rare thing in Europe, that they have largers rooms for families Esprit de France has others hotels in Paris and some charming chateaux hotels outside of Paris. I hope to try one
Wow - this place is truly special. We stumbled upon this hotel for our honeymoon and they blew us away. They upgraded us, treated us like royalty and gave us a warm welcome to Paris. The rooms are spotless, have tons of character and all the amenities you need. Breakfast was a delicious way to start every morning and helped with us keeping costs down (our server even greeted us by name every morning!). It was great staying in a neighborhood as opposed to the touristy places. When we come back to Paris we will be sure to stay here again - what a magical place and great find!
Very Nice Hotel close to the Train Station Montparnasse. Quiet and Nice Rooms. Great breakfast. Very Nice staff. And you are so close to the Lively Boulevard Montparnasse and to the Metro Station. . We Had a Great Stay.
We often stay in the Raspail area when in Paris and this is clean and close in to the Jardin de Luxembourg. The walk is close to Bob Marche, the restaurants are reasonable and the rooms are large by Parisian standards. Good overall value in a four star hotel in a urban setting near museums.
My husband and I spent 8 nights in their Superior Room, then 1 night in their Standard room upon our return from Mont Saint Michele. We chose Montparnasse mainly because we wanted to stay in a hotel which is within walking distance to the Montparnasse station. It is a cozy, tasteful hotel with double- sealed windows and a very quiet air conditioner. As we have stayed in both types of room, I can say in confidence that the Superior room is well worth it. The toilet bowl is located separate from the very big bathroom, and the extra entrance space before you enter the bedroom is most useful, especially for people like us who came with big suitcases. Taxi fare from CDG airport to the city now runs a fixed price. It is 55 Euro one way. The Raspail metro is just 2 min from the hotel, and there are tons of good restaurants when you turn left from the hotel. The staff crew is very professional and polite. If I were to stay at Montparnasse again, I will definitely come back.
Great hotel and staff very friendly and helpfull. Location is great and not far from lots of nice bars cafe and restaurants. Very close to the metro so for us that was great as we Highly reccomend this hotel
Sweet small hotel with French atmosphere. Located near the metro station and buses to famous locations in Paris. Very comfortable and not too expensive for area it located in. The elevator is very small and slow
This hotel is in an excellent location. 1 min to metro, 10 mins walk to numerous high street shops.Lots of cafes and bars in close proximity. More than anything it is beautifully designed and very clean and delightful to return to after a long day of walking around beautiful Paris. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and I cannot fault this hotel.
We loved hotel aiglon. The room was perfect for us (a couple). Some might think it is small but european rooms tend to be smaller than american ones. We had a small balcony with a gorgeous view. The bed was extremely comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helped us with making a last minute reservation. The location was ideal, I have been to paris many times and had never stayed in the area and really enjoyed being able to walk around there. The metro station is super close to the hotel, which was a plus.
Stayed at this beautiful hotel in September and couldn't fault it at all. Travelled as a family of 4 and from the minute we arrived the kids were given little gift bags complete with colouring books, pencils and slippers (they were over the moon with this!) - thought this was a lovely touch. We stayed on the fourth floor and our room was clean, bright and very spacious. Again, things like bath robes, toiletries and a walk in wardrobe all gave a luxurious feel to the hotel. Complimentary bottles of water were also awaiting us in the room. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the metro station so was ideal for going out and exploring Paris. We decided to eat breakfast in the hotel for the two days we stayed. It cost 18 euros per adult and the children ate free. Plenty of choice but there seemed to only be one waiter covering the whole breakfast area and if we wanted additional coffee etc. we couldn't get hold of him! Small gripe! We ate in the restaurant next door to the hotel on the first night - Le Jockey. The food was very enjoyable. On our second night we wanted to eat somewhere that served Parisian food so we enquired at the reception desk and the gentleman there was more than happy to recommend places for us and also booked us a table! Overall we would definitely stay at this beautiful hotel again - thanks to all at Hotel Aiglon who made my families first stay in Paris a most enjoyable one.
