Points to consider

Staff were welcoming and responsive. Unfortunately they were unable to supply a rubber non slip mat for the very elevate bath/shower combo. The tub was quite slippery and thus required me to be on hand while my husband who has neuropathy in his feet showered. With elevated soaking tubs it becomes quite a feat for someone to exit while everything is wet. We would have appreciated better lighting in the room as it felt quite dim. (Not the only place in Europe we have experienced this) Breakfast was average for the cost, plenty of options but nothing special. ( Be aware this hotel is in a residential area and several blocks to the Metro station. English speaking staff were available.

The property and overall expectation for an IHG hotel was as expected (one of the reasons why we choose to stay in them), except one major disappointing issue. We arrived on 9/13, on 9/16 their elevator broke. They placed a sign that is was a shutdown as part of improvement works it was out of service since the 17th, which was incorrect and odd. We were provided a room on the 7th floor. We had to go up 7 flights of stairs for the remainder of the trip when we departed on 9/19. The part that was most disappointing was that the management/staff made no effort to either offer us a room on a lower floor, (which did appear they had available), assist us with our luggage on the AM of checkout, offer some IHG points (I am a member in long standing), etc. On one occasion, one of the staff members apology seemed very dismissive. We had additional family that had rooms on the 4th and and 5th floors and they had the same comments that I am providing. So what would have been a perfect trip to Paris was smudged by something that could have been handled by just being a little polite. I know they could not fix the elevator, I know what it takes to have them serviced as I have worked for medical practices that have had this happen, and we made every effort to accommodate patients that this may inconvenience.

Excellent service from Juba; friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and there were numerous options. Our rooms and linens were clean. My only concern was that room 106 had a musty smell and it was giving the family a mild allergic respiratory reaction. Maybe mould caused by the adjacent green roof garden drainage into a porous old wall? Maybe this should be investigated.

Pleasant Surprise

This hotel is a nice surprise when you check in. It’s in a very quiet street just 5 mins walk away from the cafes and restaurants in Rue Epic. We were a family of 3 and stayed in a triple room which was clean and modern. Fridge with complimentary bottled water on arrival and a handy safe in the room. Beds very comfortable.Staff on front desk very pleasant and helpful. Didn’t have breakfast as the local cafes so close. We would definitely stay here again as you can walk to the Metro station at Place Le Clichy within 10 mins. Ubers to the Louvre area around €13 and serve the area well. Overall we were not expecting the hotel to be as nice as it was.

The hotel was well-kept, comfortable, and the breakfast had a great variety. The only issue we had was regarding being “dog-friendly”. They charged a fee of $40/dog per night and they did not allow the dogs to use the only area with grass for the restroom. This was brought to our attention when the staff very rudely told my son that it wasn’t their problem.
