The room we stayed was on the 3rd floor, it wasn't very big , but was clean and modern decorated. The breakfast was great, it filled our bellies until noon, the croissants were made in heaven - soft and fluffy. From what I could tell, it isn't a very touristy hotel , but more of a one-night-in-town-with-business place . It is close to the metro, but it doesn't have any stores nearby, the hotel has 2 vending machines if you need water or something to nibble. It was OK for a 3 night stay, although one morning was very noisy at 7 a.m. on the hallway as some men were changing the fire estinguishing system in the ceiling. I was very tired then and 7 a.m. was too early to wake up from so much noise. I
The B&B Hotel Saint Denis Pleyel is within easy reach of the Carrefour Pleyel Metro. The staff were very helpful and polite, and our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The breakfast was suitable for our needs, with baguette slices, bread, cereal, croissant and coffee available. Bacon and scrambled egg were cooked on the Monday, although these were not available during the weekend. A wider selection of pastries, such as pain au chocolat, would improve the selection. The WiFi signal was rather weak, and streaming videos was not possible as a result. It was however sufficient for browsing the internet. Besides this, we had a very enjoyable experience at the hotel.
The hotel is very convient to Carrefour Pleyel Metro station on Line 13 allowing easy access to the centre of Paris. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful making the stay very good. The room was cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. The breakfast availability was basic but very good including croissants, bread, bacon and scrambled egg. However it could be improved if there was a wider selection of hot foods such as sausages. The WIFI wasn’t very great making surfing the web take ages. Besides that very good experience here.
Good experience of this hotel. Staff were so accommodating. Letting us use the breakfast area in the evenings for our meetings. The top floors have been recently converted and are better than lower floors. Breakfast was good and all enjoyed it. Nice coffee, even bacon for British travellers. Good location for Paris, Stade de France and cathedral/Market. However there was a terrible smell on the 3rd floor from the plumbing in bathrooms/sweater smell which was off-putting and its basic (no phone, hairdryer etc). Pupils thought sleeping was easy with comfy beds. Code on doors meant no losing keys. Internet WiFi was strong too.
Had to move hotels after 1 night. Staff were awful. Very rude and unable to provide security on the door. Anybody off the street can walk in and do what they like. Not safe and we moved hotels the next day. Also we were promised meals in the evening at the restaurant next door 'la tour' for 7.30pm and these were cancelled last minute. Meant we had to wait until 10pm for pizza delivery instead. Furthermore when checking in the staff were very rude about us not realising we speak french and understood what they were saying. Very unprofessional. We were a large group, and they tried getting us to share beds, despite us paying for each person having their own bed. They claimed there were not enough rooms, until we complained and kicked off. Basically they were trying to get us to use less rooms so they could sell the unused ones. Very cheeky! Never have I stayed in such a bad hotel. Never ever go here.
General The B&B is located in a quite neighbourhood. Easy to reach by metro. Chek-out was at 12:00 AM but the key was not working since 11:00 AM, so I have had some little trouble to go in, because the service at the reception was not that good. Positive - 15 minutes from the Stade De France - 3 minutes from the metro - cheap accomodation. Negative - they speak just a sufficient english - room is really spartan - breakfast not included in the basic price. I will come back if I would have to attend another event at the Stade De France.
If you don’t find anything else go to this hotel, but don’t expect too much. Tight room, tight bathroom, not well maintained, poor breakfast. Expensive for the level. Just a positive point: staff is nice.
So it seems this is basically one of the hotels you stay at if your attending the Stade de France, there was signs up about the concert we were at so it kind of figured, if your looking for a hotel for the stade de France this is perfect! We went to see Coldplay and took the metro from our hotel (5 min walk to the station 1 stop on the metro) very quick maybe 15 minutes tops, we walked back from the venue to the hotel and it probably took us 20 minutes, so either is doable! The area itself is nothing to write home about, residential mainly, it seemed pretty safe and had a variety of amenities including some restaurants and shops. I will warn you though none of these seemed to be open on Sunday afternoon/evenings, and we struggled to find any place to eat, however -revelation- you can do this cheeky thing called click and eat in the stade de France, where (via app) you order food on your phone and it is brought to your seat... pretty neat... fair enough I felt like I was taking my life in my hands (literally- I don't think the burger patties had actually ever touched a pan)... but no one was sick so just be cautious. The breakfast was great for a budget hotel, choice of croissants, breads with Jam Nutella honey etc, also yoghurts and scrambled egg and I think bacon as well but I just stuck to the cold. Hot drinks are also available. Unfortunate the vending machines were not working (although looked pretty well stocked with both food and drink... waffles to note) so if this occurs just pop next door to the Hilton and look miserable and they let you buy things from their fancy corner shop type thing! The room was basic, pretty much no toiletries but it was clean and that's all I really ask, tv was good but I spent all night looking for an English Channel, the last one (I think 84) is BBC world news, just for reference. Also there are USB ports in the TVs which you can charge your phone off, it's pretty slow but still works. Overall the location was quiet despite being near a few main roads, it took us about 25 minutes to taxi to the airport (CDG-2). Pre book taxis because your not getting one by standing outside the hotel, basically no traffic (blessing and curse), I would recommend downloading the Allo taxi app very useful and super efficient I've found! Enjoy your travels I would stay here again!
Simple and minimalist hotel, With a non so friendly staff. We arrived shortly after midnight, The person at the reception was angry(Maybe had a hard day). After verification of the reservation, he demanded payment in advance, which was higher than that which appeared in the original order. We asked for explanation, but he hardly understood englishץ Not to mention talking english. The rooms (we ordered 2) were cleanת Not so spacious. Bed hardת Uncomfortable-thin mattress. Breakfast -modest buffet, If you arrived late (after 8:00) Some supplies run out and there was nobody to refer to. Transportation - Metro Near
This hotel has picked up some mediocre reviews mainly due to the nature of its neighbourhood - I deliberately chose it because I was entering Paris from the North West and I knew I needed something reliable. Despite arriving 5 hours before the stated arrival time the staff allowed us to take over our room - which was comfortable and spotless. After a six hour drive through the night this was a great relief. This is a typical B&B chain hotel - its cheap and it does what is says on the tin. The locality isn't actually too bad - its pretty quiet and this is inner city Paris for goodness sake. The local Metro stop is 2 minutes walk around the corner. Breakfast is good. I would definitely return here.
