Review: Courtyard by Marriott Paris Saint-Denis We stayed at this Marriott during the Women’s World Cup. Hotel location: The hotel is far from the major Paris sites. If you plan to see the Eiffel or Louvre, plan extra time. The metro is within 5 minutes walking distance, but we always had to take at least 2 metros to get to a major site. The metro is very easy to use. We used google maps to get us where we need to go. It was very clear on which train to take. Uber and Taxis were expensive to get to the city centre. This will add up quickly. The hotel is located in a working class neighborhood with few restaurants in walking distance. We researched a few places to eat one day, walked about a mile, and all were closed mid-afternoon, even though the hours were correct per Trip Advisor. Staff: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We never had an issue. Daily cleanings were consistent. Room: We had 2 adjoining rooms. The size of the room was larger than most European hotels, but smaller than American hotels. The room was clean, but quite worn and dated. Bathroom: The bathrooms were a bit small. The tile grout was nearly gone or mildew-black. The bathroom needs a renovation. Like most European hotels, there were no wash clothes. Facilities: the lobby and breakfast area is large with plenty of social and eating places. There’s an outdoor patio with a pet rabbit. One night we enjoyed watching a match in the lobby. There’s a computer and printer for guest use. This made it easy to print our Cup tickets. The hotel also sells a variety of snacks, sodas, bottled water, and beer. Restaurant: We had the daily breakfast. The hot breakfast consisted of hash browns, sausage, bacon, eggs. The cold breakfast including yogurt, nuts, fruit, cereals, etc. there was fresh bread, pastries and croissants. Juices and coffee was also offered. The hotel serves dinner most nights, but not on Sunday. Be sure to plan for that. We did use the bar for snacks and drinks a few nights. It’s not cheap - typical hotel markups. Overall value: The hotel was considerably cheaper than the city hotels which is why we chose it. It’s clean, a bit worn and definitely not convenient.
Stayed here with family with 2 young adult.good hotel with modern upgraded big rooms. Did not like the hospitality as made to wait for at least 1 hr despite it was way past 2 pm,May be overbusy and under staff. Thereafter despite of repeated request 2 rooms were given far away from each other. Deffinately not staying again.
I just can’t. I can’t believe that Marriott lets them get away with this. It’s not a Marriott. They shouldn’t put the title on it if it’s not a Marriott. This place sucks. The showers are freaky and flood everything and there’s nothing you can do about it besides huddle in a corner and hold the shower wand. Everything is broken nothing works. For example the plug next to the bed, the refrigerator, and the lamps. The staff gives the wrong directions to places and makes stuff up. It is so far out of Paris that it takes 45 minutes to get there. I understand that part is my fault, but if someone is reading this they should know it takes 45 minutes to get to actual Paris even though Paris is in the name of the hotel.
One of the best hotel I ever been in Europe where staff members are so friendly and I have in mind the receptionist Anna who was very helpful and always with a beautiful smile on her face. The room was clean and nice. Near the metro station where you can go to Paris centre. I recommend this hotel. Value for money
I was lucky to be welcomed by William. He is probably the best host i have ever had. He was kind, helpful, answered all my questions. We should all learn from him. Malcolm was super cool too. I just forgot the name of this other host, he is blond, and skinny. Look for them always, they very nice. The was clean and tidy, the shower spacious and the blower has american plugs to connect my tablet. Eventhough Saint Denis is not a picture worht it place the hotel made me feel safe. Daniel
It’s a small hotel with friendly people but far from the city. It’s mostly for business trip. I checked in late and there was no towels in my room. Anna at the reception was very friendly. The restaurant was very busy for breakfast but Joel took care of us. I will definitely go there again.
A lower then average Marriott brand hotel. Slow and confused check-in, old and stale decor and a disappointing breakfast. The check-out process was as equally confused as the check-in. This hotel needs refurbishment and some management love. A positive is its distance (a 5 minute walk) to a metro station that takes you directly down town. The staff were also friendly and pleasant.
Had a business meeting at the bar, food selection was good and it had a nice atmosphere. There is an outdoor area you can sit and enjoy a peaceful drink and food. The food was pretty good and the prices reasonable.
Waited 20 minutes to check in. Nothing was explained so had to return to desk for information on WiFi. This was meant to be a simple business stay but it feels like they aren’t set up to handle business guests. Have cancelled future stays, will head back into town and risk the traffic. From a long time Marriott Rewards member.
I have visited Paris on several occasions but recently discovered the very special Courtyard Paris Saint Denis. Location is perfect as I could sleep with my windows open and enjoy the quiet area. The metro with good connections to almost everything, was within easy walking distance. The Monday through Friday staff in the food service area did a wonderful job especially with the cafe olé! Housekeeping keeps everything spotless and well supplied with all amenities. A very special thank you to Sarah, Cyptien, and William, you three front desk staff are exceptional. I totally appreciate all the advice, suggestions and directions you provided, you made my trip so much mor fun. I also had the chance to meet and chat with the Manager and I now understand why this hotel is my favorite, the kind and caring management. All my best Janet
