EVER STAYING HERE AGAIN!!! AND IF YOU READ THIS... AVOID IT!!! Air conditioning seems like heat. Restaurant service is horrible, and they dont even try to help you and get things right, it took them more than 1 hor and 30 min to get 2 salads, and when we complainnes about it, they said that they cant do better because the staff is all trainee. that they hire students. I f you need a taxi, they dont even know how to call one for you, it took the lady in the front desk to call one for 45 min long. If you speak english , they are not friendly to you at all... They forse you to explain to them what you need in poor french, even if they do speak english. Dont call this hotel a Marriot is the worst version I have ever stayed in. They cant have an award from Trip Advisor, I think they write their own reviews. there were a lot of clients complaining.... not only us.
We were only in town for a day and a half and we looked at staying at the airport but given the cost to take the train for two days to center Paris, it ended up being cheaper to stay at this Courtyard. The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant. The hotel is right around the corner from a Metro station and that line, Line 13, connects to all the other lines to take you to the major spots. In one night we were able to get to the Arch d' Triumphe and walk to the Eiffel Tower and only have to take two lines to connect. If you ever have used the Metro in D.C., it is very similar. They have a restaurant and bar, as well as a small little convenient store if you have to pick up any items. We got a family room which is two hotel rooms sharing a pass through door. The one room has a king bed, the other has two twins. If you are trying to save a little money, the twins are actually double beds. Each room has its own bathroom. Cab ride to hotel was 55 euro. Metro day passes for 4 people covering two days of unlimited use of the metro system was 80 euro.
My purse was stolen at the hotel restaurant - Oleo Pazzo. On April 23, 2017, I was having dinner with my family at the hotel because we were leaving early the next day. I hung my purse on the back of the chair and when I reached out to grab my cell, the purse was gone. We tried to call the police but the mgr said we had to go to the police station. There was no time for that so we decided not to go the police but there was a camera pointing to our table. We then asked the mgr to look at the tape and they later came back and said the engineer who ha the code was not available...he would be available the next day but we were leaving early so they gave me an email address to contact the hotel. I did send an email with all the details but never received anything back. This was our second and last time at this hotel.
We arrived at night the lady at the reception was so friendly and professional, room are spacious with a big TV, quite and clean, the area of the hotel is good and safe, only one thing the parking was a little bit expencive we paid 18 euro which we could park the car outside free of charge.
The hotel is close to the airport but a 2 or 3 minute walk to the metro station. It was quiet with lovely staff and great food. We bought breakfast with our room and it was great. French and American dishes. Clean and secure. I would stay here again.
I saw some complains on quiet neighborhood of that location but when you consider metro station in 200 m distance all looks different. Hotel offer underground parking so it's easy to reach. Rooms are clean and fresh making your stay easy and chilling. Good bargain!
The hotel is quite good. The check in was really fast. The rooms are spacious and food is excellent. The soundproofing was good as well. The hotel staff seemed to be very serious and stiff however they were very helpful about the road instructions. Carrefour Pleyel Metro station is very near ... about 5 minutes however the neighbourhood is shabby. The hotel is away from the city. The breakfast spread was good, with quick replacements and lot of warm food. Overall a good expreience
A good standard of hotel, variety of drinks and food available. Breakfast covers most requirements I'm sure Yes the hotel is a way away from main city, in an area of offices, but we walked around 20mins to two very good bistros which were filled with locals and not full of other tourists ! Happy "hour" every day from 5-7 on draught beers Room service available for food as well.
It is north of Paris, which takes about an hour to reach by Metro. Out of the Metro Station, you get to walk about ten to fifteen minutes to get to the entrance of this hotel. The district is a bit 'rotten' with closed down shops and graffiti, and some people loitering on some abandoned 'tunnels' or 'footpaths'. It is a rather quiet district otherwise, and a bit too quiet when you come back at night. With that room rate we got and the comparatively spacious and well-equipped rooms you get within Paris region, I think there is nothing to complain about. One thing is, hope it has been improved since my stay, that when I stayed there, free Internet access was only provided in public areas of the Hotel. You can imagine some guests sitting in the lobby at night to stay connected with their friends and family, or, with the world. 😜
We stayed here for the six nations rugby for three nights. It is ideally placed to walk to St Denis and the Stad Du France. Easy to get to by public transport and indeed public transport is cheap and plentiful all over Paris. They were very strict about the bar closing times and leaving the lobby. However I believe this was due to the rioting and a coach full of Korean tourists that were robbed not far away. They happily served us but said we must be out of the public area at midnight. So if anything they were actually looking after the guests given there was problems in the area. Rooms and all areas were spotless, loved the fact you had to use your room key to operate the lift. Staff were polite and very helpful, in fact I left a jumper and they arranged its safe return to me. The area is "up and coming" but can feel a little intimidating. But we found a café bar just down the road. It was full of locals and we soon got chatting and had a great night. The breakfast had a good cold range but the hot one was a bit limited and could have been warmer. The pillows were a bit hard and I thought there was usually a pillow menu in Marriott? All in all a nice hotel and quiet. I would go back and ideal for the rugby.
