Just back from a wonderful first holiday in this fabulous hotel . We chose to upgrade to one of the new executive suites , this cost us around £500 through Thomson but to us it was money well spent as the room was perfect and huge ! We were on the top floor of block D which has views towards the elegancia adults pool . These rooms also have two balconies ..the food is absolutely delicious and is without a doubt the best food I've had at an AI hotel . The staff at the king jason are some of most friendly & hard working people I have ever met & nothing is ever too much trouble for them . Will we return ? You bet ! Thank you Andreas & co for a wonderful week , Trish & Dave

We returned to the King Jason to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and I have to say that we could not have spent it anywhere better. Thank you so much to ALL the team for their wonderful service and constant kind attention. The food is always top notch, tasty and is easily comparable in quality to good restaurants. The bar and restaurant staff are attentive and pleasant we were so sorry to leave. The hotel is kept spotless and any problems are dealt with efficiently and promptly. The hotel is in a residential area about 20 minutes walk to the harbour passing many ancient sites. Thank you everyone for once again giving us a holiday to remember and hope to see you again.

We booked this holiday with First Choice, opting for the all inclusive holiday (a bit reluctantly having been on many all inclusive holidays before and usually disappointed with the lack of quality and 'herding' mentality for meals, drinks etc) ... we booked very last minute and got a great deal for one of the executive suites for a week, 15-22nd June. Having last been to Paphos 28 years ago, our first holiday abroad as a couple, we thought we would go back to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We chose the King Jason based on the reviews from several sites, including Trip Advisor. I looked at the option of booking directly with the hotel, however I opted for First Choice as it more cost effective. Our flight was massively delayed (7 hours) so we missed a day of our holiday and didn't arrive until late evening. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and luggage was taken to your room, we signed in and were offered a cool glass of rose wine and chocolate :) First impressions of the hotel were great, the reception is beautifully designed and you immediately get a sense of this being a small, cosy and very friendly hotel. We were taken to room C402, which didn't overlook the pool, or main part of the hotel, it was at the top of a 4 storey block (but don't let that put you off) just behind what I assume was the original hotel before the refurbishment earlier this year. Wowzer ... the suite was fab, we had a corridor of wardrobes, a lounge area, huge comfortable bed, wide, big balcony with views to the sea, massive fluffy towels, silk robes (too hot to wear !) and slippers if you wanted them .... no idea why this hotel hasn't been awarded 5* status. There were little touches that were lovely and made you feel a very valued guest, there is a small kitchen type area, discreetly in the suite, there were sandwiches, crackers, water, fruit left for us as we had missed dinner. We literally left our cases etc and went down to the bar area. There are a few areas for guests to sit and enjoy their drinks, it's very 'grown up', no music, no entertainment, absolute bliss, which is why we booked the hotel, knowing it would be peaceful. When we arrived, unlike all other all inclusive holidays we have been on, we didn't get tagged ! no wrist bands, there was a drinks menu at the bar, very, very nice, but I wasn't sure as an all inclusive guest where 'our' drinks menu was, having asked the barman we were told that we could have anything off the menu, or more, or make up our own drinks ... we were very pleasantly surprised, there were champagne cocktails, branded drinks, ie Tia Maria (I'm partial to a black Russian), the list was extensive and included fab cocktails, amazing milkshakes and non alcoholic cocktails - great during the daytime, basically the quality and choice was amazing. We took our chosen drinks and sat in the library area before taking a drink to our room and enjoying our late night snack. The week that followed was fabulous, as other reviews constantly say, the staff, both Andreas and Maria, all of the waiting staff, reception staff, bar staff are so hospitable, their promise is to 'redefine genuine hospitality' and that's exactly what they have achieved, you don't feel uncomfortable or awkward, you just feel like a valued guest, it was so lovely to see so many people who had visited the hotel before and see the greeting they got from the staff, genuine warmth. Andreas runs the hotel like a well oiled machine, being an observer I could see how he makes it look so effortless, whilst knowing that this involves a lot of hard work and comes from years of experience, expertise and great leadership, as Andreas said to us, when deciding on the renovation of the hotel it had to be done right, and it has been done so right ..... We didn't take children, however I wanted to say that there were only a handful of children there, I'm not sure if this was due to it being term time, children are certainly not unwelcome by the hotel, but obviously the lack of entertainment and quietness naturally will make families look for possibly more lively hotels to ensure their children have a fab time. The staff made a huge fuss of children, and there was a lovely children's area of the pool, however in my opinion the hotel does lend itself to a being more of an adult centered place. The gym looked great, very well equipped, but didn't try it. There is also an indoor pool and would have loved to have tried the spa, however stupidly getting sunburned meant it would have been painful ! When we visited Paphos 28 years ago we stayed in a brand new hotel, we shared this with Andreas and couldn't believe that he had opened that hotel and Maria had also worked there, so we had met them both before, a long time ago, less grey haired, less wrinkled .... we loved that holiday too. The food is as everybody has said, fabulous, quality ingredients and each day is themed which means you don't get exactly the same food day after day. The cleanliness of the kitchen, food areas and beautiful presentation is amazing. All the staff take such great care and pride in their work and it shows, in bucket fulls. I miss the creme brulee ... a lot :) The pools are fab, sunbeds have thick comfortable cushions and pillows, there were plenty of umbrellas to create shade (it was so hot whilst we were there) and the adult hydro pool is fab, we spent the week totally relaxing around there. The black pool tiles make the pool look very contemporary and chic, great touch by the designer. There is an outdoor pool bar, when it's not attended there is a sign to say help yourself, however there was always somebody there to help when we went for a drink or to sit down and relax on one of the sofas. Walking into Paphos takes around 15-20 minutes, there are a few routes to get there, it's busy and bustling at nighttime. We did get a cab that the hotel organised a couple of times - 8 euros, the driver was really helpful and had worked mainly for the King Jason for the past 18 years. Maria also organised a huge, beautiful bunch of my favourite flowers for our anniversary, requested by my husband, which was a lovely surprise. Alex from reception was really helpful too, we asked for extra pillows and a clothes airer to dry towels, swimwear etc which were very promptly provided. All in all, this hotel cannot be faulted, if you are looking to feel spoilt on a truly relaxing, stress free holiday this is definitely the place for you .... enjoy ... be prepared to put on some weight (you are on holiday so it's allowed) and be valued and pampered, who could ask for more

The King Jason certainly lived up to its reputation! Our first time here, not our first time in Cyprus. Excellent service, excellent facilities, excellent food, excellent quality drinks, excellent service, excellent room. We only stayed a week but felt that we had been there for 10 days........our holiday started as soon as we arrived, so relaxing and the food is to die for. Can only reflect the positive reviews made. Would definately return and recommend. Andreas & Maria are lovely, hard working and professional people, who make everyone feel so welcome. All the staff are very attentive and work very hard to make your holiday a special experience. A beautiful little hotel complex.

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic break @ The King Jason and I can understand why it gets such rave reviews but if you're booking direct, as we did, there are a few things you need to consider. Initial welcome - very good considering we didn't arrive until 1am, due to flight delay Food - fantastic, great choice at each meal Staff - as said in previous reviews the staff are very attentive and nothing seems too much trouble for them. Yes they do clear dishes away quickly but if you've finished with them I don't see this as an issue Pools - lovely and there are enough loungers available Rooms - Apartments with microwave, fridge etc. and were fully air conditioned, a must have in Cyprus during the summer months. As I've said we booked direct with the hotel, which was completed very efficiently and we did get a free upgrade from bed & breakfast to half board. What we didn't appreciate is that Thomson's have an arrangement with the hotel to provide their guests with an all inclusive holiday. I did inquire if we could pay for an upgrade to all inclusive but was advised that this was not possible due to the arrangement with Thomson's. What could the hotel done to made our experience even better? Whilst they have a pool bar it does not serve any snacks, appreciate we could have gone into the restaurant and bought lunch, but after a substantial breakfast all we usually need is a toasted sandwich to keep us going until dinner. The only other option is to go and buy something in the local shops or bars but there is very little close by, as the bars have closed down or the shops don't have a great range of stock. Appreciate that this is outside the control of the hotel management but flagged up for your consideration. It's a 20 minute walk from the hotel down to the promenade in Paphos and there is a very good bus service as well. Yes we would go again but it would have be on an all inclusive basis.

first class accommodation andreas and his staff cater for your every needs most relaxing, the hydro pool for a refreshing dip looking forward to our next visit to room 17 in June next all the best to all for the rest of the season

Ok ...so thank you for looking at my review. Firstly everything you have read in other 5* reviews is true...every word. My review is honest. If you want unashamed luxury, indulgence and the attentiveness of amazing staff...you will find it here. Let's start with Andreas the manager, he is the most hard working, attentive, charismatic, charming man I've ever had the privilege to meet...if I wasn't married I'd take him home with me...... hmmmm. Anyway back to the review...his team are like his family, hand picked hard working immensely dedicated guys who have only one thing on their minds....your pleasure, your happiness, your total expectations are catered for. Nothing is too much trouble, whatever you want...you will get. This holiday should be carefully planned I.e. Get on Slimming World prior to this holiday as you will be served the finest restaurant quality cuisine that has been lovingly and creatively prepared by the team of chefs. Then ... you will be led by the hand to the most seductive area of the hotel....The Most indulgent, mouth watering, heart racing, irresistible banquet of desserts you will ever feast your eyes on. All of this served with whatever you desire to drink... and topped up regularly that you even start to fancy your own husband!! Aside all of this, the pool areas are paradise, the rooms magnificent, the staff from management to chamber maids beyond perfect. Choose this hotel and you will want to return time and time again!! A truly orgasmic experience. Can't wait to come again! Thank you King Jason....one word...AMAZING.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week in March. Fantastic place to relax, lie by the pool and read books. The rooms are lovely and food is great. The staff are also very helpful - we were particularly well looked after by Sargur.

Me, my partner and our friends stayed for 10 nights and do not have a bad word to say and wish we could have stayed for longer! Rooms were emaculate, very spacious and filled with essentials. We arrived late in the evening (12am) and the staff were kind enough to provide food and drinks in our fridge. Rooms were cleaned everyday which was a bit much for myself but I know they have to keep you picky people happy! Food was incredible. I've stayed in all inclusive before but this is the first time there has been a variety of foods where I have not once been bored with selection of food(themed food nights every day) drinks selection was vast with named brands. Pools: We stayed next to the main pool for the whole holiday. Always beds for the 6 of us even at half 9 in the morning. The staff ask regularly if we wanted drinks brought to us and ALWAYS remembered the orders without even writing it down. All staff were what made the hotel that extra bit special. At every meal they ensured that there was a table for everyone. Staff being on the ball asking what drinks we would like straight away. Always very professional and kind. The bar staff were always very funny and entertaining. A special mention to Andreas. Always checking in to see if everything was okay and made you feel very welcome. On the last day I fell very ill and despite checking out they were kind enough to accomadate me so I was well enough to fly home the same day. Without this room I think I would have missed my flight - I cannot thank you enough for this. Overall this hotel excelled in all departments and have already recommended to others as a must. I would definitely come here again. Thank you all so much for making the holiday so relaxing.

Fantastic 2 weeks, food was great! Wide variety of food throughout the entire holiday. Some waiter service by the pool at various times! Didn't enjoy the wine too much but there is a sweet rose which is palatable! Local spirits, cocktails, lager and strongbow cider are all great though! Rooms had a fully equipped kitchen with tea/coffee in the room too. Free bag on arrival for the pool towels supplied for use, robes and disposable slippers supplied too! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole experience was lovely. No entertainment other than a large TV in the lounge and one in the Bar! There is wifi but it's a bit hit and miss and only 2 English TV Channels Pools were great and there are plenty of sunbeds and chairs. The only disappointment is the area (Russian Road). Although old Town is only a 15 min walk (Uphill) in the opposite direction are the bars (Towards the Marina) 5 mins 10-15 to the marina! If you head towards Tomb of the kings, shops bars and restaurants are a 10 min walk!
