What makes this hotel is the staff, the food choice, the cleanliness and attention to detail. We stayed in one of the new Executive Suites...they are spacious, clean, modern with a fantastic bed which gave us a refreshing sleep each night. Hot water - plentiful.. Good wifi..could possibly do with a few more drawers but I am really nit picking to find a fault!!!! What is not good about the hotel is the 1980s approach to reserving sun beds with towels at all times of the day and night...it is more annoying than a fault - there could be plenty of reasons why people feel the need to do this...but it does take the edge off of this wonderful oasis. When we did have a fault with our sink (plug not working properly) - it was diagnosed and fixed within 15 minutes - this level of customer service is second to none experienced before. The Paphos Shopping Mall is within 10 minute walk and the recently renovated town square is 2km away. There are plenty of trendy bars, restaurants and coffee shops here... Thank you for a very relaxing week.
2x 30 something couples returned from the KJ. The hotel is fantastic - service is 2nd to none. Room - we requested 2 rooms close to each other and pool facing - our request was fulfilled. We were staying in the one bedroom suites - which were fantastic - very spacious with loads of windows with pool views! Food - the food is amazing - we stayed all inclusive - each night is a themed night along with a beautiful salad bar. Particular highlights include; the profiteroles (little drops of heaven) and the pain au chocolate (handfuls of happiness). Drinks - milkshakes are to die for.. cocktails are okay - quite a small menu to choose from. Beer on draft is okay - can be a bit flat they have Keo and Estrella. Spirits are branded if you request it. Andreas the manager is brilliant too - he clearly loves his job! All the staff were great and very hard working. I can't comment without mentioning the cats of the hotel - they are fab!- there is about 16 that I managed to count!.. each had their own personality. The hotel could draw on this more - maybe each cat could have their picture and name on the website or on the wall in reception... they are beautifully kept and give lots of love! If you aren't a cat person don't worry - they won't bother you! I'd come back again for another visit in a heart beat!

Recently returned from our annual trip to the KJ. (Started in 1999). Superb holiday as ever, believe the fantastic reviews this hotel receives. The heart of this hotel is as ever the entire staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Special thanks to Andreas, the two lovely Maria's,Alex and our cafe frappe queen Angela. Hope to see you all next year, Trev and Di.
This hotel was in a lot of ways perfect. The food was great. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay and you don't want to leave the hotel and just relax by the pool, this is a great place to stay. We were on half board. I would recommend for this hotel full board or all inclusive. One more thing about the food. The food was great because really anyone on any diet can find a great selection at every meal. Also, their drip coffee was very good. So why not a five? We were always going to check in very late, but our flight was delayed, so we didn't get to the hotel until midnight. The person who checked us in didn't speak English and sent us initially to the wrong room. The right room was next door and when we arrived there were no blankets. So my husband went down and the very nice person took him to the laundry area where he handed him what my husband thought were blankets. Instead it was mattress padding and because he was exhausted, I just didn't sleep with a blanket, just with a top sheet. The beds also were also not super comfortable. However, they did provide us with water, sandwiches, crackers, and cheese in our refrigerator, which was super nice. We never complained to anyone about this because we never saw said man again and as I've said before, the staff was really lovely. But I think it's important for someone who is checking in late to have realistic expectations. The next morning when we went to look around outside the facility, it was a little surprising how dilapidated the area was. This is not a reflection on the hotel, but was just a surprise. It didn't feel unsafe or anything like that. It's just a really run-down area. The hotel is not really for kids, not because of the hotel itself but because of the guests it attracts. Some people found our kids (who are very little but well behaved and we are strict) to be irritating. The hotel is very, very quiet, like college library quiet. We did not see any nearby playgrounds and ended up going to the mall almost everyday so the kids could run around. (To be fair, we didn't ask.) If you are going without kids, or with one baby, it's a fine place to stay. However, if you have small children that need entertaining beyond what a pool can provide, just be prepared to take day trips or hang out at the mall Gymboree. Thank you to the staff who were all quite lovely.
Just returned from 11 glorious days at the King Jason Hotel. I have 2 food allergies, and the staff were very helpful in sorting food that I could eat, even down to cooking items freshly just for me. The Dining room has a live cooking station where you can see the food being freshly prepared, and what a choice at every meal. Excellent. Rooms are well furnished, beds are twin but larger than a single making into a Queen/King bed. Again, very comfortable. Bedding and towels changed every few days. The Hotel is in a residential area, easy to walk to the Harbour, front, and large Shopping Centre. Travel agents describe the Hotel as being 10 minutes’ walk from the beach, yes, it is, but there is no beach! There is a concrete area with sun beds, and platforms into the sea. Not child friendly, although other areas of Paphos do have a beach. We could not find fault with anything at the Hotel, except the Island voltage of 230v wasn’t sufficient to charge our Electric toothbrushes. Note to self, take battery toothbrushes next time. Would we return, like a shot, the Hotel is more suitable for couples/adults rather than families with children. There is only a child’s paddling pool for entertainment, not play area etc. Also there is no evening entertainment, but it is a very friendly hotel where makes their own entertaiment.
My wife moira and I just returned from the king Jason two days ago . This is our second visit we were also there last September . From the moment we arrived It was fantastic . Andreas Maria and the staff are second to none . The food is out of this world , the accommodation is fantastic and the whole complex is spotless clean . We totally love the people and the hotel , and we will be back next year again . Oh and I must mention lulu and Jenny my two friends the cats . Loved them too , pity I couldn't bring them home to Scotland . So roll on next visit to the best people and hotel in paphos . Thank you guys for a brilliant holiday yet again . Joe & moira west .
I stayed in the king jason for 1 week in August 2017. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is amazing and the food was out of this world. My only fault was there was no entertainment on an evening and the view from our room wasn't the best. However this will not stop me from returning to the hotel again in the future. I can't wait to come back.
We've just returned from a weeks holiday at the King Jason. Unfortunately just before travelling my wife broke her ankle and so we were after a very lazy (and stationary) time). We've never stayed here before but chose the King Jason because of the outstanding reviews on trip advisor. Don't be put off when you arrive and remember that you've booked a hotel in a residential area - if it's sea views and glorious sunsets from a balcony that you're after then you're coming to the wrong place. Aside from the lack of a view (which isn't their fault) everything else about the hotel is very good indeed and we echo all the other very positive reviews. The food was excellent, the staff are very well trained and really friendly. As others have commented, the leadership shown by Andreas and Maria cascades across the hotel - very impressive and a great holiday.
