We had an amazing time in your beautiful country and it all began with the front of the house. I have been in hospitality for many years and without question your staff are superb at customer service. If anyone needs any assistance.... call on these wonderful people. From arrival to departure the culture is personable and feels quaint, not big chain. SPG does it well. Ocean view is great! Restaurant, bar, rooms and spa all good. Nice amenities in the room too. 20 minutes from the airport so easy access.
Our stay at Le Meridien Panama City was AWESOME!!! From the moment that we made the reservation and did a little tour of the property, we felt like family. We were staying at another hotel previously and wanted a change. This was such a positive change. The views are amazing and the staff is even better! We were put in a platinum suite that offered great ocean and city views! The room was well appointed with robes and slippers, a whirlpool tub, lots of space to relax and rejuvenate and a large shower. We really enjoyed coming back to our room each evening because it gave us a sense of peace. The staff, Axia Gonzalez, Joel, John, Alfredo and Angie made our stay exceptional. Everyone greeted us when we returned from our days adventures with questions about our day and offering suggestions for dinner or for the next day. We were greeted on the first day with plantain chips and fruit in our room (that were delicious) and the staff remembered our anniversary. They left a beautiful plate of cheesecake and an anniversary message that was so thoughtful. When we came downstairs for Happy Hour that day, everyone told us Happy Anniversary and went out of their way to make us feel special. That meant a lot. In the restaurant, Angie was top-notch! She was so attentive and fun! By the time we left Panama, we felt like she was a part of our family. She asked genuine questions and really paid attention to what we liked from evening to evening. Breakfast here is great also! They have a variety of items to choose from like hot items, all types of pastries, fruit, omelettes and fresh juice. The staff is very helpful and made sure my coffee cup was never empty. They didn’t have a dedicated lounge for gold/platinum members during the time we were there, however they still had lounge benefits, like complimentary breakfast and happy hour each night. This hotel is located within 2 km of the Panama Sign, Seafood Market and Casco Viejo, so a leisurely stroll will get you to these locations quickly. Also, Uber’s are easy and cheap from here to most locations. Also, Uber has Uber English for those who aren’t very confident with their Spanish. They take a little longer, but its worth it! The Hop On/Off Bus (City Sightseeing Tour) stop is about a city block away in the park in front of the InterContinental. This location is also a quick walk to the MultiCentro Mall and Hard Rock. In summary, when we are in Panama City again, we will stay here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the staff of Le Meridien Panama City!!
Le Meridien is located in the middle of Panama City, across from the waterfront. Staff is outstanding. Front desk is excellent. Restaurant and bar have great service and food. Very well maintained. Nice rooftop pool and lounging area.
Whether you are a normal and functional person, or- like me- an incompetent who loses their valet parking tag, you will find that the hotel staff are willing to go above and beyond for you: Not only did Alfredo help me get my car out of valet parking when I lost the tag, he also helped me when I left my iPhone charger in my room by quickly walking several blocks into the street to meet me with it after I had left. While most people may not run into these issues, in all seriousness these things are more prone to happen when one travels- and I think it indicates that the staff are watching out for their guests anyway :)
Wonderful service all around. Very clean, friendky staff. Wonderful food. Excellent in all the departments. Beautiful design on the rooms and lobbies. Lots of places nearby to eat that you can walk to.
These guys never cease to surprise me... I am a local, and live preety close to the hotel. But me and my girlfriend really love this place so we stayed for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and they took care of EVERYTHING. This place is just magical. The spa is heavenly. The restaurant is amazing. The whole vibe is addictive.
I happened to be in the parking lot helping a mate load some stuff in his car while my wife requested the valet to bring our car around. I heard a car wheel-spinning out of its parking behind me. I turned around to see where the noise came from, only to find out that it was MY car! I went over to where my wife was waiting for the car, asked the driver why he was driving my car so badly and his response was that they were in a hurry and I mustn't worry because nothing happened to my car (as he tapped my shoulder). Completely poor attitude and disrespectful management of customer property.
This hotel is centrally located right on Avenue Balboa. We had a nice ocean view from our room and the room (Gold Suite) was very roomy and comfortable. The happy hour in the bar is a nice touch as well. Drinks and tasty tapas every night. The real gem here is the staff! Every, single, one of them!!!! We had the most wonderful experience with the workers at this hotel. Every person we talked to were genuinely friendly and were concerned with the comfort of the guests. While we were here, I had a small accident while out walking around and needed to go to the hospital. I made it back to the hotel and the front desk manager, Alfredo, not only helped me with my wound, but got a taxi, rode with me, translated at the hospital, even stayed with me while I got stitched up! Really above and beyond!!!! The concierge, Ferdinando, was excellent as well. His recommendations were all spot on. He also organized a special "feel better" surprise for me after my accident. I arrived and met staff here, I left friends behind! I highly recommend staying here. If you are familiar with the Le Meridien brand you know what to expect from its properties, and you will find all that here, along with some special people.
My wife and I booked this hotel for a 2 night stay as a belated anniversary trip. A week prior to our arrival, I received a kind email from Ferdinando the concierge offering his services.. nice touch. We had arranged our own transportation from the airport to the hotel. Aixa did a great job at check in. I noticed another guest was having trouble with his reservation, and a supervisor was eagerly helping him... very attentive. It was a nice surprise to see a slice of cake and a hand-written card for our anniversary in our room! Our room was more like a small apartment with designate areas, even a small kitchen counter. We loved the clean lines. Although the glass partition between the bathtub, shower and toilet area is surprising at first, the glazing on the pane provides enough privacy. We very much enjoyed the happy hour drinks and snacks, as well as the bountiful breakfast. Liseth was in charge of the breakfast staff and she was kind and willing to answer our questions about the local area. Speaking of that, there are several night clubs along the beautiful boulevard where the hotel is located. We did hear faint thumping noise on Saturday night from the music, but we were on the fifth floor facing the ocean and it did not bother us enough to interrupt sleep at all. The pool and terrace are well located to have a drink and look out toward the bay. The spa has an enormous space for men to shower, sit in the sauna and the steam room. Naima was efficient with the check out process the night before we actually left because we had to leave very early the next morning. Over all, as seasoned travelers, my wife and I were MORE than impressed with the hotel and grateful for the services and kindness of all staff with whom we interacted. This was the first time we stayed at a Le Meridien property of the Starwood family of hotels, and after this wonderful stay, we look forward to the next stay, whether here or another country.
