We were thoroughly pleased with our recent stay at the Meridian, Panama. We arrived to a warm and welcoming reception and continued to enjoy the same throughout from a most attentive staff. Between the lovely breakfast each morning as well as the a la carte, the Saril restaurant was most satisfying - not to mention the delicious Sangria enjoyed on the outdoor terrace. The Concierge, Ferdinando and his colleagues were both professional and friendly and were right on the mark in suggesting 3 of the best restaurants in the city as well as arranging a scuba excursion for my daughter. The Meridian is a lovely looking hotel, well located - just a nice walk along the beautiful Cinta Costera to the old town and feels like a a little Oasis in downtown Panama. Most memorable!

Starting the day with breakfast at the buffet is really a delight especially if you get to meet Jose Rodriguez. He will brighten up your morning and send you on your way with a smile, he also speaks great English. This Hotel is small with only 6 floors no waiting for anything especially elevators. Beautiful view of the waterfront and close to old town which is a must visit. Thanks for the great service. Roger and Randy Los Angeles

If you happen to stop in you CANNOT miss the most gregarious guy you'll ever meet Jose. He is more than your average waiter. He is e consummate employee concierge. No request is outlandish o beyond his capability. The best part is he does it with a smile - never a problem.... he never seems to have a bad day... you always feel like family... he is the #1 readon to have lunch and cocktails at the lLe Meredien. Go see for yourselves!

I had the joy of spending two nights at the Meridien. To say it was the best hotel experience I have ever had is not exaggeration. The hotel is beautiful and impeccably decorated and maintained. The breakfast buffet spread was expansive and all of the food delicious. Above all was the staff. They were welcoming, kind, accommodating, attentive to detail, and fun to talk to. José Rodriguez was especially exemplary. He attended to me at breakfast and made sure I had the best experience possible. He speaks beautiful English, cooks delicious omelettes, and is the epitome of what every hotel staff should be: warm, attentive, and personal. Thank you, José!!!

We stayed in Panama city for several days and were able to get two adjoining rooms. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful in regards to transportation, local restaurant recommendations, and helping us figure out what to do in Panama city. There are several good restaurants and shops within walking distance. There's a nice view of the old and the new parts of the city and the waterfront.

I stayed here with a friend while in Panama for several days. It was a perfectly nice hotel, especially given the very competitive rate we found, which included a delicious and plentiful breakfast each morning. The gym is quite nice, with modern equipment and a beautiful ocean view. Over the course of 4 days, I was the only person in there on every morning but 1. When we had a somewhat alarming incident - someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night - the staff was very responsive and concerned, and helped us get to the bottom of it ASAP. It turns out a man in a neighboring room came back to the hotel in the wee hours, and mistook our room for his. His key did not work on our door, and we had put the security bar in place before heading to bed, so he never got in, but his repeated attempts were quite upsetting at the time. The staff reviewed the security footage, assured us of what happened, double checked that there were no duplicates of our keys floating around, and I believe spoke with our neighbor. It never happened again, and we appreciated their quick response. When we were visiting, the neighborhood streets and sidewalks were in very rough shape due to repairs on the sidewalks and the area pipes. Work that has to be done, but made it hard to explore and take advantage of nearby restaurants. Clearly a temporary obstacle, and not the hotel’s fault. The rooms weren’t particularly noteworthy for their decor, but everything was well maintained and clean. It’s a more than solid option for staying in Panama City, and the location was a quick (and cheap) Uber to almost anywhere you needed to be in the city.

The room is excellent and the breakfast is great, but one the best qualities is the service, specially from Jose Rodríguez in the restaurant. In addition, if you like to run, you will be just in front of the bay and you can run for a few km with one of the best views of the city.

I had a short stay of four nights at the hotel. Check in was smooth and I was upgraded to a gold suite which was a nice touch. The rooms are a little jaded, but the hotel is well kept. There is a very limited choice for eating in the hotel with the only restaurant being Saril but the food is good whether at breakfast or for dinner. Only one minor glitch in that housekeeping returned the wrong laundry to me but that was quickly resolved. Would definitely stay here again.

My flight got cancelled. I stayed at the Meridian, I arrived early and everybody was so helpful ! Especially Jose,in charge of the Breakfast, who took a fantastic care of me. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very confortable

We were more than pleased with the level of service of this modern, luxurious hotel. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The staff is attentive and helpful. The rooms are large with all the amenities plus an extensive view of the Pacific and the Causeway Amador.
