Walked in off the street and was quoted a rate that was 50% higher than what I could have gotten had I booked it online. When I complained about this later I was given 3 false reasons why this was so before they finally just admitted that that's the only rate they may offer walk-ins. They did not care to negotiate. They happily gauged me. I stayed there for 3 more nights at the normal/reduced rate but I will remember your policy of gauging people who are new to the country and unaware. Otherwise the hotel was fine.
A part from the very nice people at the reception and at the restaurant, I Have been impressed by the status of the rooms: very old and decadent and also dirty. Not a problem of housekeeping but just the status of the rooms. This hotel needs a super urgent renovation and after many positive experiences in others GARDEN INN in my opinion a prestigious hotel chain like Hilton should not mislead their customers that expect certain quality levels promised only on papers. I really hope theynwill take actions soon. On the opposite I have to spend nice words on all the people working in the hotel from receptionist to housekeeping and to restaurant also. I will not consider this hotel in the future if theynwill not renovate the rooms
This is my 3rd or 4th stay at this hotel. Convenient location to restaurants, casino, train, taxi everything you could possible need. Laundry facilities a huge plus. Great food in restaurant. Breakfast option can be included. Highly recommend it.
Excellent value, location, service, accomodation. The personnel were attentive, courteous. The king bed was heavenly. Internet was fast. Breakfast buffet was a bit meh, but not out of the ordinary. I loved the pitchers of fresh fruit water!
Four staff members promised to turn on jacuzzi, never happened all day and never cared to follow up. Arranged a 2 hour tour never happened; sent a kid taxi driver who couldnt speak english for a 1 hour taxi ride. didnt go.Main manager never returned my call for help.
Well managed hotel. Stay here!!! Overall --- great hotel in Panama City with a great price. The hotel had fairly clean rooms, a very friendly front desk, and helpful porters. Watch for better prices on Trivago and other travel sites - you'll get a better price for the room including breakfast compared to Hilton's own website which did not offer a breakfast rate --this by the way, is against Hilton's guarantee of offering the best price guarantee. Many USA Guests end up paying $15 per person for breakfast where other sites offer an inclusive rate for all guests in the same room. This can end up costing $15 to $30 or more per night for a guest or a family. The breakfast buffet is exceptional for a Hilton Garden Inn - as a Diamond Hilton Honors Member -- I can tell you the breakfast buffet is one of the best!!! The wait staff at breakfast is very friendly and professional. The restaurant after breakfast is troubled. The food in the restaurant is GOOD but service is questionable for non-Spanish speakers-----and avoid the Club Sandwich which is nothing more than a cheap baloney sandwich. The quality of housecleaning needs a little improvement. Upon arrival the room carpet had not been vacuumed and there were toenail clippings still on the carpet near the desk. Also - the maid never mopped the entrance and closet area in my room. Never!! The quality of housecleaning needs improving.
Enjoyed my stay at the Hilton, it was my first time in the region. The staff are very friendly and some of them have food English. Food is also good in the restaurant, especially the seabass. The taxis outside the hotel are experience so I recommend Uber for getting around the city. The yellow cabs don't have meters, so difficult for a foreign to gage the price! The hotel is very good value and I would stay again.
Want to say thank you to Hilton Garden hotel for providing us with great service and help with accommodation after hurricane Irma destroyed our home in St Maarten. Hotel is a decent quality and amenities as described, but the courtesy and service we received was beyond and all that mattered to us!
It's a 3 star hotel, with parking garage. hotel room is quiet and the beds are comfortable and breakfast buffet is good. It's not a family hotel, the little Whirlpool has a very nice view of the city, just than we were there came a quirk couple touching to each other, this became uncomfortable then we must leave the place. Is very close to the main avenue, Via España close to the bus and metro station. Is ok to walk around during the day, but in the night is not so nice, About to 200 mts from there is a casino than make this most a hooker area.
i say for 3 nights at this place and it was no so good, the place was very luxury but the biggest problem was the people, no atention, no interest in the people. i call like 3 times just to ask for some towels how can that happend, but at the same time the hotel was beautiful... they need to get new people with more interest in customer service.
