Beautiful hotel with a fabulous bar and restaurant on site. Within walking distance to others and very close to the Cinta Costera (lovely pathway along the water). Staff was great and attentive

The hotel is excellent. The room service, breakfast and attention to the customers is outstanding. We had a great time and we recommend it. The location is great.

Really liked this classy hotel. Only issue is it is in an isolated location. Would have preferred to stay in Casco viejo

There is constant noise in the rooms. Plus the service is awful. We tried to get coffee (because while there is a Keurig maker in the room, they do not have k-cups. There is sometimes coffee in the lobby ... not always... and then they charge $9 for 2 cups. We could never get service for a washcloth in our room. I would not stay at this property again. They are a disgrace to the Leading Hotels of the World group.

The Hotel Bristol Panama was fantastic and exceeded our expectations by so far it was incredible. I remember looking over to my wife in amazement when we arrived at the hotel in our rental car to be attended to so swiftly by the staff it was faintly amusing! Bags taken, car parked, refreshing cool towels provided, complimentary bottles of water offered and the check-in were completed inside of 5 minutes!!! Miriam at the front desk was just a complete professional. When you arrive - ask for her, she's fantastic! Also Vanessa in the restaurant was brilliant at her job and super friendly. After only the second morning she knew where we preferred to sit and just how we liked our coffees. The breakfast was super delicious too! The hotel itself is fantastically well appointed, impeccably clean and well maintained. The gym was quite large with new machines and the pool was cute - small but got the job done. Our room was really very good. A little small but we went the economic route. There are much bigger rooms available and when I return I will be definitely taking advantage of one of these! The finishings inside the room were excellent - very high quality - especially the bathroom. My wife is a project manager of the construction of apartment buildings and she was staggered at the cost each room must have had to build. To quickly sum up the hotel - Terrific customer service, great rooms, great location and AMAZINGLY cheap! (We got a crazy cheap package inc flight)

We stayed at the Bristol for one night. Everything was perfect. Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The bar, restaurant, and breakfast buffet were excellent. The Spa was fully booked during our stay. I would assume it must be good..

Service, rooms, location, 5th floor drinks, food service outstanding Very special hotel

I've stayed here three times now, over the course of the last few years, and the hotel is centrally located, clean, and the staff are very friendly. The new part of the hotel has a nice lounge and fitness area. It's an easy walk to a variety of dining options, and just 3 or so blocks to the new metro lines. I was in meetings and doing business most of the time, so on this trip I didn't have a lot of down time.

We got a great room our first 3 days and a great rate through OO*&*&. When we came back into town over easter weekend the town was dead so we thought, no problem just drop in on Bristol and get a great room. Well, we walked up and the room rate was 60 percent higher, plus taxes. So I said, I can just go on O&*&* and get a better rate why not give it to me. She said, "this is the best rate anywhere, etc." So I said, "I'm going to sit on your couch book a room walk back over and you're hotel will lose all the money that O(*(** will make." She siad, "ok." So, I sat down went to the website which had a special for an app download and another special and I got the room 20 percent cheaper than the first go round. This time they put us in the other tower though, not as nice room although same class. Sour grapes for her I guess. I felt bad for them, as a businessman, they could be smarter. But very sweet and half the rooms are awesome.

The first time we stayed, we loved it. The second time, although we checked in at 3 p.m., they didn't clean the room until after 8 p.m.! The bathroom vanity was dirty, the cups had been used, as had one of the bathrobes, and there was garbage in both bins. The concierge was not very receptive. We asked her to make an important phone call for us, and we think that she never did it. The advertised airport shuttle service, which we thought would be included, cost $40 each way. More than a taxi!

The lobby/front desk area should have additional space to hide luggage. It is cramped during peak checkin/checkout periods. However, the overall reception space is beautiful with original art on many of the walls of the hotel and several sculptures. The breakfast was very good in a lovely setting. We had guests next door to us that would come back from partying late at night and were loud and annoying. We found it hard to sleep without earplugs as a result. There were no ice machines---we had to request ice from the butler.

This is a great hotel in a convient location. The rooms are beautiful. The breakfast fantastic. One of the nicer places I have ever stayed. Very clean and the staff is pleasant and helpful. A must to check out the spa facilities and views from the 15th floor.

I've stayed at the Bristol twice now, once in 2009 and once in May 2013. Between those two visits, they have added a residential portion and expanded their bar/restaurant area. The hotel portion remains as nice and pleasant as it was when I first stayed. The restaurant (now playfully called Sal Si Peudes--"got out if you can") looks great, although I didn't eat there during my recent stay. I did back in 2009, and the food was wonderful. Overall, great stay, great service, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. Really nothing bad to say at all.

My hotel experience at the Bristol was excellent across the board. The staff were totally fantastic, the room was charming while the hotel decorations were clean, classy, yet unique. The restaurant had fantastic food, and pretty much every part of the hotel was great. Anytime I go back to Panama City, I will stay at the Bristol.

The hotel was nice. Heads up...if you request airport shuttle make sure that it is confirmed. I made a request two days prior to my arrival, and never got a confirmation back. Upon arrival at the airport, no shuttle. I called the hotel 3 times and each time I was placed on hold and then disconnected. When I arrived, I articulated my concerns and was told there was nothing they could unless I provided proof of my email. Not what I wanted to hear after a 5-1/2 hour flight and 2 hours at the airport waiting and trying to call for the shuttle. I gave the hotel desk my cab receipt ($30.00) which did not include a $10.00 tip, and again they articulated the same thing. No proof of email--nothing they could do. I was disappointed but too exhausted to continue the conversation--so just asked them to please give me my key room. The room they gave us had a view of the street and in the morning all you could hear was the construction. The food in the restaurant was good but very expensive and left you hungry! Breakfast Buffet very good. The guys at the door were professional and personable. My friend used the SPA for a mani/pedi and she was very pleased. We never got a chance to see the pool so can't comment on that. All in all, a good stay. Just wished they had picked us up because we wasted like 2 hours at the aiprot trying to figure out the problem. I was not happy when I arrived at The Bristol because of that and all they did was apologize. If someone had actually taken my call from the airport perhaps the situation could have been resolved. If I go back to PANAMA, I will try a different hotel.

The hotel room was excellent. It was in the old tower, but the room has been kept very well. The staff was very attentive. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I will definitely look to stay at the Bristol Hotel when I return to Panama City

pretty hotel ... but rooms are noisy and bad servi

There is constant noise in the rooms. Plus the service is awful. We tried to get coffee (because while there is a Keurig maker in the room, they do not have k-cups.
