Beautiful condo right on the beach. Two beds were broken down and need a little tlc and all the elevators were broken down so we had to use the stairs. Other than that it was close to everything we were wanting to do. Very quiet atmosphere and not crowded. Parking was tight in the parking garage.

Coffee Pot was broken upon arrival. Carol was awesome and had a replacement within 30 minutes. We enjoyed the condo and the location. The master suite bed could use an upgrade, but other than that everything was great.. We would definitely stay here again.

Upon our Saturday arrival, there was only one elevator working. The people waiting said that they have been waiting for 45 minutes. Within a hour, that elevator broke, leaving people trapped inside for quite awhile. We were told by staff that the elevator’s would not be fixed until Monday, which turned into Tuesday evening. My 78 yo father and 75 yo mother accompanied for what will probably be our last vacation together. My father is a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran that cannot walk but small distance and steps are a no go. He was literally stuck in the condo Saturday-Tuesday. My mother was only able to go to the beach on Sunday, then spent the next two days in the condo because her legs were hurting from having to walk up and down 6 flights of stairs. We had to cancel a couple of our already reserved outings that we had planned.The elevators were down again on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. We spoke with woman that owns a condo there and she said that there is ALWAYS at least one elevator down, two down quite often. I called and left a message for the owner on 9/15 and as of today 9/22, I haven’t heard from him. Though I know it is not the owners fault that the elevators were down, it is his property that he is renting out. I feel that since my parents lost out on much of their vacation, they should be reimbursed for their portion of the rental.Other than the elevator issue, the condo was nice, with plenty space to accommodate 8. The bed in the 3rd rm def needs replaced.

Dirty and in need of upkeep

The overall property, beach area and pool were nice. The unit we stayed in was overall unclean with mold on walls near air vents and returns, dirty walls and baseboards, and dirty bathtubs. Ants were in the kitchen. The owner had to come spray for the ants. The kitchen had plates and silverware and enough pots for us to make due but it did not have any baking pans at all which made our meal prep difficult. There were not even enough glasses for the 7 people in our party. The beds were adequate though uncomfortable. The linens and towels were clean. There was other deferred maintenance, e.g., broken balcony spindles that rattled loudly in the constant wind that blew off the gulf and the shoddy installation of dishwasher and plumbing fixtures. It felt that the overall care and upkeep of this unit was poor and created an unpleasant experience.

Loved my stay

Very nice condo .plenty of room for our large family . The beds were very comfortable , slept great the whole week I was there . Only complaint would be is the parking is very tight for a large suv . Other than that was 100 percent satisfied .

The beach location was beautiful and the condo was average. It was a bit outdated and the furniture was very used/stained. Overall an okay stay, biggest complaint is the mattresses in each of the rooms were horribly uncomfortable and caving in the middle. Be prepared to bring your own toiletries. Only 1 toilet paper per bathroom, definitely not enough for 8 guest for a week’s stay.

Annual Friends Trip

The condo is in a great location. Easy beach access. The unit was well stocked and maintained. The owner personally contacted me after arrival to make sure the unit was to our standards. I suggested a few deeper cleaning items I noticed as an ocd cleaning business owner. He offered to have the items cleaned the next day. I told him that would not be necessary. But I did appreciate the follow up. I did NOT notice a single bug in the unit as previous reviews stated. We would rebook this condo for future trips.

Good vacation condo.

Love the location of this condo. Beach front was amazing. You get 2 chairs and an umbrella included in this condo that is located on the beach and they are set up for you every day. You have to go to the tiki hut and get assigned a number for the set of chairs that’s only your for the duration of the stay. You have the option to rent more chairs and umbrellas if you need too. This is amazing so you don’t have carry chairs back and forth. The washer stopped working while we were there but the property manager had great communication and was taking care of the problem right away. I would stay again. Condo was clean and fully furnished. The only downside to this condo is the parking garage. When you have a bigger vehicle, it is so difficult to get parked and then back out. The parking garage is small, the locations of the ramp to go from the forth to fifth floor is in a super awkward place. With that being said they do have overflow parking lot directly across the street and it’s super easy to get to and get out. We just parked there the majority of the time. So it wasn’t a problem just something I would have wanted to know before entering the garage. Overall enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect and the floor is just high enough for great beach views and taking our luggage up. The unit is 1 floor above parking and overflow parking is on the same level. The only minimal comment was that it's probably time to replace mattress' but it was doable. It's hard to know unless you sleep on them. The check-in was a breeze and all the staff were friendly. We would definitely go back!

Overall nice stay with a few problems

The condo was in a great location on the beach with a wonderful balcony. Perfect size for my family of 6 ranging from 17 to 78 years old. The property manager was very friendly and helpful during our stay. She responded quickly & friendly at all hours. However, the unit and furnishings are looking worn. Beware of the parking garage. The unit assigns you a parking spot in the parking garage. The parking garage roof is so low that my small SUV tailgate hit a sprinkler pipe in the parking spot when we were unloading the car. It chipped my paint pretty bad ($600 estimate from my insurance company). I reported it to the association and they never contacted me again. So I guess I have to pay this out of my own pocket. I can't believe they didn't take responsibility for it since it was an assigned parking spot. If you rent the unit, I would recommend parking in the overflow area that is not covered.

Has Potential

This property has potential to be great, but the condo definitely needs some improvements. The location was nice. It was decorated nicely. It’s a bit more quiet on this end of the beach. The parking is covered, which is nice. It has about 6 overflow parking spots on each garage parking deck. The condo is only one floor above the assigned parking spot. The view is nice, except for the condos next door that are currently under renovation. There is plenty of space for a family in this condo. The condo was lacking in cleanliness. The tubs were very dirty or either stained. The toilets were yellow and disgusting when we arrived. The management company did replace the seats, but they remained very insecure, since they were tightened with a butter knife from the kitchen. Also, the toilets ran constantly, so that affected our sleep each night. The floors were sticky and made our feet black. There was no rain during the time we stayed, so I’m pretty sure the black didn’t come from the parking deck/roads. There were roaches as mentioned in previous reviews on VRBO. The pest control people did come and spray during our stay. The walls and furniture were dirty. The master bed and bunk bed mattresses were hard and you could feel the springs. The smell in the condo was horrible! The smell never went away our entire stay. This condo is next to the trash chute. We let the owner and management company know about the smell. The owner never responded.

They was mold and mildew in the main bathroom. A couple pieces of the furniture was barely holding it together. Beds very comfortable!!! Kitchen equipment was stocked. View was nice, condo staff was very nice. The lock box with check in papers was not locked and partly open. The lady said she was call next day to check in with us and did not, roach in cabinet with plates. Toliets ran constantly and very load at night.

This building has an infestation with roaches. I did ask the lady if this was a problem considering right when we entered one ran across. Of course she said no but we seen more and they came over and sprayed raid. Lol place was nice and looked clean though. Veiw was nice as well.

Amazing location, dirty, bugs

The condo itself is beautiful and in an incredible location. The view is amazing. The beach and pool were great. You can’t beat the location. However, when I filter my search for places that are exceptionally clean, this left much to be desired. The toilet seat had drips of pee on it, the tubs were black with dirt and stains (not just stained). We killed many roaches (some other bugs too) during our stay as well. This unit is at the end of the floor by the floor’s garbage area and the entrance is from outside as well for anyone wondering. If this rental had no roaches/bugs, had a starter of shampoo, conditioner, hand soap for all bathrooms and if it was actually exceptionally clean, it would be hands down worth the price we paid. It has so much potential, but for those reasons we would not go back. The owner was responsive, but didn’t say much about the pee or roaches when I let her know. I’ve never left a negative review, but I want others to know what I wish I knew before booking.

Great Property - Responsive Owner to Maintenance Requests

Great location, nice condo. There were a few issues that needed to be addressed upon arrival (running toilet, non-flushing toilet, broken bed frame) that were fixed right away. Also found some small roaches; the owner had a pest control company there within a day. Everything else was great. I would go back again.

Family Getaway

We had a great stay at Sugar Shores. The unit had everything we needed and the location was in walking distance to some restaurants. Having to only walk up one flight from the reserved parking spot was perfect. The facility did have one elevator not working which caused for long wait times for the other two. Responses from the owner and property manager were timely for any questions we had about the property.

Sugar Shores

We had an amazing time at Sugar Shores, Unit 601. Dr. George was easy to reach and responded quickly. We had no issues while at the condo. It is spacious, was very clean and had plenty of kitchen items and bath towels available. One thing to note when renting the condo is that a beach wagon/cart is provided by the owner (it can be found in the master bedroom closet). There are no luggage carts on the property.

Very spacious condo

My family of 8 stayed here last week. We had 6 adults and 2 15 year olds and had more than enough room. The balcony has great views and plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked. It was very covenient to have a washer dryer in the unit. Parking is tight especially for large vehicles, but if it is too tight, you can park across the street. The owner is easily reachable and even contacted us after checkin to make sure everything was in order. The staff at the facility are very friendly.i would definitely stay here again.

Boy it was windy!

For a vacation that was booked a year in advance we certainly pick a windy week, short of a hurricane! In spite of that the apartment and facilities more than made up for the weather. The accommodations were very clean, well maintained, spacious, well furnished and equipped with pretty much everything you could need. All of the apartments face the Gulf and have a balcony that is huge! We had eight people in our group and we could all go out and watch the waves, and there were plenty of waves, with room to spare. The kitchen was equipped with all the tools and gadgets, plates, cups, deluxe Keurig coffee maker, crock pot, utensils, over the stove microwave, and dishwasher. Each bedroom had a TV and there was a big screen in the living room and the master bedroom. The property is quiet except when the wind is really blowing as the balcony railings vibrate throughout the entire building and make a low buzzing noise. Not enough to be a problem but curious until you know what it is. The beach is clean and wide and the sand is the perfect consistency for sand castle construction. Each unit gets two lounge chairs and an umbrella on the beach. The property personnel were all very friendly and helpful, especially the parking attendants. We had two cars and a van but only two parking spaces are allotted. There are offsite lots that allow weekly parking for a reasonable rate. There’s also a ton of things to do within walking distance. I highly recommend Sugar Shores and the Ocean Reef.
